hmmmm, i mean it depends on what you're applying for, but I say good luck! The only advice I could generally say is don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen, and just continue to work on your craft and try again. No just means "no right now"

If you sold turnips high, you would make millions of the in game currency.

One thing I like about GW2 is that you can be in up to 5 guilds at the same time, with the guilds being account-wide instead of character wide. Keeps things real casual by letting me dabble into whatever activity I feel like at the time.

I wonder how a social leaning MMO would handle social groups, like guilds. Usually what ends up happening is I join a guild of friends, but then I can't join a guild of super active players.

Ah, it basically means that you won't end up with 20 houses right next to each other. You'll have one house or roped off area where you can enter and it will take you to one of those twenty houses so the world isn't overcrowded. It also reduces lag.

What I hope is that they do a matchmaking system that they have a large number of players allowed, but then reserve a few slots specifically for guild members and friends. It's very awkward in GW2 when you see a guild member on the map and head to them, but realize they're on another map entirely.

GuildWars2 has NA and EU server regions(you can communicate, just not meet up in-game), and then within that a set of servers for each region (can communicate AND meet up in-game) and within that a series of instanced versions of game maps, meaning if a map can only hold so many people, it just creates a new copy. Mostly a good system, but you can't see a list of available map versions/IPs and switch between them freely unless there's a spot open and one of your friends is there.

If Palia does instanced versions of maps, I'd love if you could pull up a list of existing versions and pick the one you want. For instance if a party is happening in IP 0.300, you'd just pull up the list and pick 0.300 if a spot was open there instead of hoping you get shoved there by default.
