I agree to some extent, there will have to be more than just hanging out for hanging out's sake. I think that's what we're waiting to see. It is a nice comfy sim that encourages community...but just what exactly is going to keep the community engaged. It will be interesting as they release more information

they launch servers for alpha testers, they test stuff for couple of hours, detect bugs, server goes out

I've been playing WoW since May 2005. I've played Vanilla, BC, Wrath, Cata... then moved to Japan and couldn't really play with friends due to a time difference and didn't really get back into the game until BfA. I'm playing Shadowlands, but the game just feels so tedious (and I've spent weeks grinding rep to get into Naxx and farming the Scarlet Crusade mobs for the crusader enchant). I need a change. Ive been playing FFXIV while waiting for Shadowlands patch content, but the longer the wait for 9.1, the more I lose interest.

There are a bunch of considerations when it comes to creating characters of different sizes. It can mean extra investment in art assets to fit the different models, needing different animations to interact correctly with the world, all kinds of things. In most games, it ends up not being worth the extra effort/money. In a game like this, though, it may make sense to do that extra work. 🙂

It’s hard to feel cozy and comfortable when your character doesn’t feel right to you, after all.
