I think Runescape had this at one point where you could "rest" to regain run energy near someone who played music.

wouldn't mind getting some kind of a rested benefit from sitting down listening to town gossip or music, it'd make sense (especially for those who are going to be roleplaying)

Granted, not players but specific NPCs that were strategically placed around the world map so you can more easily regen your run from running around like a mad man instead of teleporting, but still. Was nice to sit and hear a different-style tune of the local area with other people just sitting and chilling too.

Like, you'd go for the run energy, and stay for the tunes and conversations. 😄

Perhaps the NPCs have a good version of this but if you as a player spent the time training this up you're version could be more effective.

And it was cool because every region/town had it's own music of course, but the bards where you restore energy at would play a more "classical-style" version of the tune so it was familiar but different.

Yea idk how the skills will be, but would be neat if you could make some low-tier food if you need to, but if you want that good good, you got to go to the player who specializes in cooking. 🍽️

I can't remember which game it was but you could pick a few skills, but only specialise in three I think it was and then only master one of those three. That was an interesting system, that encouraged the playerbase to cooperate and diversify.

Archeage did that to an extent. But you could increase the numbers of proficiencies you had maxed with in game currency
