How i see it, i use the experience i made in FF14:

PvE: Best Community i ever experienced in ANY online game
PvP: Usually much more toxic, bc ego battles are involved.

So for me, pvp personally is LAST priority, if any, for Palia

I'm a little bit in between. I think the mauled-by-bear crowd is looking for some sort of tension for wandering out into remote spaces. Maybe there is more chance to get a high quality gather-able out there? But the risk is that you might encounter something dangerous. But the team sounds like they are aware of making challenges in nature. So I'm not to worried. The Bear Mauling crowd has desires I appreciate.
