1. The rugs are not showing up in your crafting table to make after you buy the recipes for them
2. The winterlights wallpapers are not showing up in any store
3. That one winterlights rug from last year is still 1000 palium bars to make
4. IMPORTANT! If you've never done the candle lighting quest, when you're in the middle of that quest lighting candles with the villagers, do not return home until you're done giving out candles if you want to give candles to all 25 villagers it seems like if you go back to plot (or maybe even log off[?]) during the quest you might not be able to give out all the candles, it'll cap you at 8 (the required number to give out for the quest) and you won't be able to hand the rest out if you care about dialogs with everyone
   Extra: you have to do prove your devotion, prove your purpose, and prove your generosity to get the winterlights mail to start the quest

Incoming winterlights explanation copypasta for anyone who might want to link it for folks!

Winter is coming here!

The main winterlights quest should become available after first mail cycle you're present for in game. If this doesn't happen automatically, check that you've completed all three of the following quests:
Prove your purpose, prove your generosity, prove your devotion.

The winterlights chests are scattered around kilima and you can either wait to hear from Zeki to start that or peek at the clue book in his store next to the Wondrous machine. Once you find all 7, you will earn an achievement (Winterlights Gift Sleuth)

When completed you can then purchase the bottom achievement locked things in the shop outside Zeki 's general store. The rug recipes are bugged currently and you cannot craft them. There's also one that costs 1k pal bars- also a bug. Oh, and the winterlights wallpapers are missing!

Candles are lit by talking to the villagers . It says there's 24 but there is 25, it is important you do all of them before going back to your plot- if you only do 8 or more you won't be able to gift the rest of the candles or get the extra ornaments/gifts from them as it'll mark the quest "complete."

Do all NPCs work like this now? I always wished they couldn't be interacted with while traveling to a new location to keep people from "hostaging" them and messing up their schedule.

I'm feeling under the weather, so if what i say here doesn't come across properly, I apologize:

1. People haven't called the devs evil or anything like that. I know you were using a hyperbole, but moreso people have been frustrated by the amount of cosmetics. Due to the fact it seems like the priority, rather than some of the bug fixes that people have been asking for for a long time. People are just tired, frustrated, and upset, which is a very very valid feeling.

2. Some people refuse to support because of that frustration, and feeling like it is going no where. Again, completely valid. Some people also can't support due to lack of funds or the fact that a majority of the cosmetics are very high in price.

3. the 'complaining about things' is people, yes, saying their frustrations. A lot of things said has been critique, and just because something is in the negative side of things, does not make it any less valid. People understand things getting fixed takes time, however, there have been some bugs and issues that have persisted for months. A lot of people on switch can't even play.

4. Also, most of the people here who give critique, still want this game to do well, do better, and be something that the devs have envisioned. a game that people can enjoy and have fun with, whether it's for themselves or others.

this is actually intentional. characters straight up weren’t loading (especially for switch players) so when they intro’d hot pot with only 24 spots in a 25 person server, people were unintentionally “stealing” spots bc they didn’t see the other players. the solution they came up with was these “ghosts” that are easier for lower-powered hardware to load than trying to render entire characters.

If I could take a guess, and my knowledge on this is surface level, since switch renders things the way it does, you appear to be sinking because the ground hasn't fully loaded. You're seeing the LOD so it's uneven. Unless you're actually clipping and falling then that's collisions being borked up.

It takes ~5 snow piles to fill a 6x5 section of the grid.
The grid is 65x117 (by my count). I'll say 66/115 to make it easier.
You'd need to make about 250+ of these small 6x5 snow piles to fill that.
5 snow piles is 1k gold. 250 of those snow piles would be 1250k gold.

The groves make a sound right at midnight. When I used to hunt them I found it helpful to get up high and put earbuds in or a headset on, or turn your volume up. The sound of groves is directional. When you can hear them better, you will have a better chance of being able to locate where the sound might be coming from. The place I liked to use was on top of Proudhorn Pass, I think it's the F5 area on the map. I would be perched up there at 11:45 in game and wait for the sound. Also, as a side note, getting up high and using camera mode zoomed in, helps to see the glow from a bit of a distance if it's nearby. (forgive me if I interrupted)

Like I know we've discussed ideas for instanced "dungeons" in the past as party activities but that could also apply to communities as well as a weekly "raid" type thing as long as the leader can choose when it occurs.

I feel like a lot of my "world event" ideas could honestly work really well for community activities as well. Meteor showers, bug swarms, ancient trees, etc.

Even the audio accessibility is trash. Can't read half the things bc the text is too small. The wardrobe effects make me sick and I can't turn them off

The VFX of palia were a large reason I quit. It feels so cheap. And ironically it isn't bc it's their cash shop so is really very expensive

The only downside to the meds I'm on is: you have to take it with a sizable meal and even then it can cause tummy issues and you have to get your eyes checked once a year since it can cause growths on the backs of your eyes.

But honestly small tradeoffs to handle the pain.

The growths are rare and the exam is just something I get done with my yearly eye exam anyways so whatever.

if you return home it ends, it's only optional to talk to everyone not a requirement. unfortunately there's no way to get it back unless support is able to do it, although I'm fairly certain last year they said they couldn't do anything about it

Agreed!!! I am very unlucky and get the same junk, maybe get lucky once a month or every other. I almost gave up a month ago for the hours of grinding to get coin and purchase zeki coins. I got seeds which great when new and the same pirate junk . Loot no matter how full of items I carry I still get apple, wheat, moss or shroom. No Thank you I have plenty. Call me insane for expecting different results at this point but I really love the game and try to be optimistic that it will get better.
