As soon as I logged in after the update, Hekla's lvl 5 quest started for me even though I was only lvl 4... So I completed the quest, got the item but the bar is still progressing the more I talk to her

i had been playing for a good long while already when i decided i wanted to be done with this one, i only had 2 normal fish and roughly 30 star ones to get, so it took some grinding, but not too bad

i'd say don't focus on i unless you're really starting to scrap the barell on content, you'll get there eventualy as you play along

Man. Any other time a game has a Twitch Drops campaign I can set it in the background and walk away, and even if that streamer is done streaming, they'll raid out to someone else playing the game and I still get progress for the campaign. For some reason, every Palia streamer I drop into either stops playing Palia or doesn't raid out to someone else playing it, so I have to constantly switch to a new Palia channel, lol.

yeah, think the pebble plunder is still broken for some people, have the same issue and i KNOW i found and gave that pebble to einar, but it doesn't show. i also know for a fact that i gave the blue pebble to einar (the one you can find in the water temple) because i wrote that one down and it still shows that i didn't give it

In those cases you have to contact support. Iirc they can see which pebbles you've collected and give you the reward if you've gotten them all but the quest is borked.

This should not be a thing and you might want to open a ticket, because you can pick up pebbles more than once. At one point, i had like four green pebbles. They always respawn, usually, no matter if you picked them up.

Flowers are a separate item limit

End of the day would highly suggest doing small themes with small buildings for each plot and shooting small with high detail.

Even on my 6 room plot with 2 small houses I hit the limit without even getting to pavers

Mostly because of fences and rocks but even culling those down now that we have paths it isn't really enough still have 2 bookccases to fill and I barely got paths down

Hiya the only thing u can use to change the colour of your Furniture is the green modification kit for tish store 100 coins ( Not the Guilde store ) the one in town in kilima

The Guild store Furniture makers tool chest and the Furniture's makers drawing board are just décor pieces with ||animations ||

hi folks, i got a question i am hunting lady bugs and deer since a while now and i didnt get a plushi from them and i am really hardcore farming them. I place 3 honeylure every knight for the luna moth and farmig the whole day for the lady bug and sernuk but i cant get a plushi. i make like 10k or more for each every ingame day i even made 10 level in 2 irl day and i still dint got one. they are just a rare drop. i don't think it's been confirmed what the drop rate is for the bug plushes, but the deer ones are 1:1000 for the regular and elder sernuk and 1:100 for the proudhorn (and that is every loot bag, not how many you take down). basically every time you pick up a loot bag, you are rolling a dice with either 1000 or 100 (depending on which deer you're hunting) and you need to land on a 1

Although it would be great if it was a guaranteed drop at the max probable number, it's best to look at it as a probability rather than a ratio. Your odds of winning is literally less than 1% even maybe closer to 0.1%. That's the sad thing about RNG (random number generator), some are more fortunate than others it's all about the luck of the draw

Hard to say, they fixed their cash shop being broken in the span of a few hours but there are still bugs like animals getting stuck in rocks and cliffs that have been there for years soooo 🤷‍♂️

the shop was money and nintendo stuff so they kinda had to prioritize that, bugs that aren’t game breaking kinda are lower so glitchy animals aren’t that big a deal, i mean it took a whole update for them to fix muujin, im sure some important bugs are getting worked on, and as they implement new things it might break other stuff, hoping that it clears up best it can for summer at least xD

I'm in a similar position - I'm way too slow to reliably get good bugs (vampire crabs inside flooded fortress during night works relatively well, other than that no chance for reliability).

I was going to say it may be that because rooms take up lots of space but you don't need that much to fill them maybe rooms is the better bet.

You can make a room look "finished" with like, 5-7 pieces of key furniture.

Meanwhile an area of lawn could take up that same space with 40 pavers

I'd 100% play more than I do now, if I had a proper customization/progress type system. Like, earnable outfits, etc. Again, of course, there's house decor, but that doesn't mean as much to me. It doesn't feel like my character is changing, evolving, progressing through the world & actually learning about it.

You'd think, at least I do anyways, that overtime, someone/a character would eventually get new clothes, and stuff after they've been in a diff world for however long... Esp since, they just kinda.. appear in Palia's world.

I think if the grove is found right away then chopping earlier is reasonable. And the opposite is true if it's found later. Also with everyone hunting muujin, there's lots of flow trees popping up, and groves drop a ton of wood now, so missing out of a grove is not that big of a deal.

But paying for premium outfits is how they've chosen to earn the money to keep the game going. Other games you earn your looks and then people get upset when they start allowing people to buy what it took them so long to earn. Palia has flipped that on its head and the cool looks (and now gear looks) are purchased and the earned achievements (mostly house decor) cannot be bought (nor paying for better gear to let you earn them faster). Only time will tell if they can sustain themselves with just the money from skins (and the recent rounds of layoffs don't bode well). If you want to improve your look (and support the game), buy the premium outfits.

But there needs to be a reward for that grind.

Most people play video games for the serotonin release that happens upon accomplishing tasks or feeling like you've achieved something. Palia never gave me that feeling, because it has very few things that truly feel rewarding.

Me too!! As long as there's proper reward for it, or a way to properly show progress (esp ones I can show off ... that isnt just decorating.) ... ugh, it gets me such serotonin and it makes me happy.

Like, furniture and decoration stuff- don't get me wrong, it's nice! Again, I tend to like the decorating in this game (although, i'll admit, it's been ages since I properly have...) but... You can't always show those off to people. You can invite people to your plot, sure. And it's nice

it's something, and i'll admit that. but you're not always going to be on your plot. Having something for your actual character, while you're out grinding for those materials that you'll need... it just is enjoyable. Or hanging out doing hotpot, having a title or something that showcases stuff.

It'd also give more community-aspects-- I know people already try to do some "fashion shows" and i think it was something way back at the start of open beta? but I don't see it too often now, because it's not the easiest to do right now, since ... well, you'd have to buy a lot of the cosmetics. It'd be more of a "community event" that people do, or experience, if there was more F2P options, esp ones you can grind for and earn imo.

I love the rewards for grinding idea. I also think there should be new free outfits occasionally too. Also, there should be at least one free pet. I hate- absolutely hate when games divide people with the pay store. it's kind of trashy. this is a cozy game- not a brag who's got more extra money game. this part has always disappointed me.

I wish more people understood this, but there's a reason why most f2p games that monetize exclusively cosmetics still make sure to give the f2p at least SOME earnable options.
To put it simply: In order for cosmetic-enjoyers to buy outfits, you first need to ensure they'll want to play the game. If they're not playing, they're not going to be paying, either.
What's the easiest way to convince a cosmetic-enjoyer to engage with the game? Offer them a cosmetic reward they can earn for playing and progressing, or allow them to buy cosmetics with earned gold, etc.

Palia lacks that. :x

Hi folks, curious if anyone's noticed that the Lvl 5 dialogues are less unique for Jina/Hekla/Einar. I felt like Tish/Reth/Ashura/Zeki's Lvl 5 dialogues were more complex and offered varied responses. For Jina/Hekla/Einar, I keep getting recycled bits and wonder why their narratives aren't as unique/interesting as the first set of Lvl 5 NPCs.

So after spending over 1h 30 min trying to find Palium to progress with furnishing my place, I've only managed to snatch 3 pieces...
Don't get me wrong, I am all up for work to achieve stuff, but the palium spawn ratio is just unbelievable. I used to grind a lot in games, but running around Bahari for almost two hours and coming home empty handed is very discouraging, to say the least. I personally don't have time to play Palia all day in hopes I will stumble upon the node.
And even if someone says in server chat the location, I am usually on the other side of the map. And before I get there, the node is gone...
Palium is supposed to be rare like Flow Trees, yet with cooperation and a bunch of helpful people we can hoard flow wood in no time every Palian Day.
So I was thinking... since we already have some sort of 'gathering event' with groves, would it be possible to add the same event with Palium?
A neat idea could be using one of NPCs related to mining - Najuma.
She is a promising miner and boom boom enthusiast. What if we could buy special explosives from her and trigger them at the mines in hopes palium would show up? It would work in a similar way to honey lure.

if you are high enough level to get it, would recommend using ore compasses. they will lead you to large iron nodes, and all size palium ones. not saying that you're going to get hundreds of palium in a run (since only 8 palium nodes spawn at a time in the map), but might help point you in the direction of the nodes instead of running around like a wild person

I'm creating my account to link it to Steam, but it's asking me what country I'm from: 'Complete your account set up by choosing an account name and providing information needed to comply with regional regulations.' ... It will change which server you are on and currency for purchasing of in game coins. So, for example, the game will use the Canadian dollar for me since I told the game I am in Canada. The only big issue is that there are some countries such as Argentina that cannot access the game at all without a VPN service. You should be completely fine to just tell the game whichever country you feel comfortable with sharing!

I think right now you can play with people from Europe even if you are in USA server. That used to be broken, but I'm pretty su re it is fixed. If you choose Europe server, the currency will be EURO

When switching to my second plot some of my flow trees are on my second plot instead of the main. Like they’re switched completely. Is this happening with anyone because if I chop them I have to regrow them which I’m not trying to do? Is it a visual bug at least?

If you're on a different plot when they turn over to the next growth cycle (6am in game) they can jump to the plot you're on.
It is a known bug they're working on, but you can pick the trees up and put them in your bag to transport them back to the correct plot.
I have been making sure I'm on the plot the trees are on when the day turns over, but in theory, once they finish growing they should stop switching.

Exactly this. I see people running around snatching all the palium without bothering to mine the iron ore nodes or the plain nodes which would all have a chance to spawn Palium. Think about it, someone else went to the trouble to mine the nodes you are now looting and you have reaped the rewards. Let's show some courtesy and kindness to each other by helping out.

groves are just really competitive/toxic in some ways. a lot of people end up with toxic mentalities-- in regards to "calling people out" some even call ppl out in chat, which can result in shaming, witch hunts, etc, and it's just... very much uncalled for. Some people even try to bring it into discord. It's just... silly, and just.. again, uncalled for.

Makes me wish Groves were done differently or there was something else. because the way it is now, it just... makes it not a great environment (imo).

It's the waiting that's causing the hostility. So it's the waiting that needs to be fixed. I was on a server the other day where it took someone almost 10 (irl) minutes to show up to the grove, and quite a few people were upset about having to wait for that one person.

There's something the devs of another game shared, about their game, that as soon as they took away the ability to annoy people, like by turning off collision between players so you can't push someone afk around, people got noticeable nicer and more helpful, they said it seems like the "annoying someone" interactions got turned into "helping someone" ones. I feel like something like that might work for the groves as well... Incentivise playing as a group, but make the waiting more optional (trees remain? Unchoppable for a while? I'm not at S6, but I'd guess there is a way to do that somehow...)

Maybe if Flow Groves dropped more Flow Wood when there are more people who've hit them. Feels like something the system could do since they introduced the ability to share party drops. I personally sometimes skip the grove after getting to one because I have enough wood to go by. Also after muujin hunt intensified you can get 5 or more fts without grove too. tbh I think codifying the "wait til X time before chopping" thing as an actual game mechanic would alleviate the bulk of the issues
just have groves spawn at 12, have a waiting period where you can tap them but otherwise can't damage them, then let people harvest at a set timeframe later
you could spin that lore-wise as "the surge of flow is protecting this tree from harm! wait a bit for it to dissipate first."
That ensures everyone is given ample time to find + get to it + tap the trees before anyone can chop them all down.

There are a ton of people that never find a grove. Never try to find groves, and just come as late as possible to get the reward others went looking for.

Again everyone knows that the grove is at 12. If they dont they will learn and get with the program.

i used to play a long time ago, when i saw palia hit steam i decided to reinstall and play again for some time, and i completely forgot like 99% of the game. but at least my skills were like lvl 5-6~ish

so you would make cakes or muujin bahari, the big recipes, everyone would do one step and everyone would bring ingredients and everyone would get 3 of the item. then they made it so only certain steps counted torwards the cooking and then they made it so you got less items when you put the food in the worm farms and then they changed the recipes so it took different ingredients. they keep making changes to stop people from making money so people will play the game more. it just makes people quit though because they are trying to make an artificial grind instead of engaging content.

now adding plushies and seeds and flowers and such was a brilliant move and instead of nerfing things like mining and cooking they should have used things like that to incentivize people to do other things

I don't know if it will help, but have you looked to see if the missing pebbles respawned in their original locations so that you can try regifting them? I had turned them all in ages ago while this was first bugged, but after some of the updates I had found some pebbles again and just gave them to Einar figuring why not. It could be worth trying in case they reset somehow.

That achievement has been bugged from I started playing this game. All you can do is recheck all the spots then submit a ticket. They can see which pebbles you have/don't have.

Oyster pebble must be the rarest drop in the game, I’ve opened tons with no luck.
In the wiki the blue pebble is in the wrong place, I think it’s swapped with a different colour.

Foraging as a whole needs reworking. It doesn’t make sense with current bag limit. Yes trees are everywhere but if I decide to make money by woodcutting I would have to make a lot of trips to and from homeplot and that’s just not time efficient. Adding amber changed nothing

With farming I think you just get a worm farm, chuck a stack of whatever organic item you least love in it and leave it afking overnight. Produces fertilizer as a by-product. We've gotten a bunch new furniture and pavements and building blocks etc. though. And cash shop pets whom I believe to be purely aesthetic.

Seeing the words “Welcome Home” made me genuinely tear up.|| I’ve been going through some rough times the last few months, and I’ve been playing Palia nearly the whole time. This is one of the nicest, most accepting, and wholesome games I’ve ever played. I got bullied off MMOs back when I was younger and it turned me off to the genre for over a decade. In the 3-4 months I’ve played I’ve only had to block 3 or so people, and for way less terrible stuff than on other MMOs. I’ve had so many fun moments with other players. Playing Palia has been healing for my inner child in ways I can’t describe. Thank you so much to this community and the S6 team. I’m grateful for this game in ways you’ll never know. This really does feel like home. I’m proud to be a Palian 💖

I have somewhat similar experience with being an RA when I was in college with trying to keep the peace, making sure your residents are happy, etc. Was certainly an interesting experience I learned a lot from. I guess my attitude towards video games and their related social media is similar, where I just like being able to casually dip in, give my two cents and dip out if I need. Either I'm very lucky or oblivious when it comes to drama since I rarely ever encounter it in Palia and when I do it doesn't get under my skin.
