It can take weeks of hard grind for some players to get even one plushie. RNG is RNG. I grind hard for them, have gone over a week without any, but the other day I got 2 reg sernuks and 3 elder sernuks in one day/5 total hours of hunting/play. If players are just doing regular hunting or light grinding it could take weeks or months to even get one.

I only play with one person beause I never can commit to a time to be online. We usually play a couple hours from midnight to 2am. and voice on discord with each other.

A few days ago when I went into Bahari, literally every 4-6 trees there was a flow tree. It was crazy! Took forever for myself and a few other players to run around and chop most of them down. I had never seen that before.

You probably lucked into a new or reset server. All trees spawned in at once so tons of flow trees come in at same time. Lots of fun when that happens!

However, we are aware there are some overlapping bugs and this issue may still persist for some players.

Yes the chopper gets counted already as if they had shot the muujin too. So it really is a 3 person job, in my opinion. (Unless you have a killer shot, which I do not have.)

I get both sides of the arguement on people just running in and chopping down trees and those that wait. There is no game rule that says anyone has to wait on anyone until a certain time. This was just something that started with some players and was picked up by others. For those that just chop and run, I get it that they are trying to make it to Zeki's Underground or hunt for the Rainbow Tipped Butterfly etc all during this time too because several things happen during these night time hours.

I'm Agender/Nonbinary/Genderfluid (somewhere under that umbrella), and i would love outfits for both masc, gender neutral, and femme. It'd just be nice to have different variations for all. Talking of femme/masc toggle for the clothing makes me think it's been waaay longer than a hot minute since we've heard anything of new body type choices. I wonder how far on the back burner they are now? They've put so many premium outfits out with more coming every month does that make it more unlikely we will see new body types? How much time/money will it take to rework all the clothing for new body models?

I honestly find new body types to be unlikely at this point, just because like you're mentioning and stuff... it'd be so much work to adjust the current outfits for new bodytypes. Esp if they want it to mesh well and not just be "stretched" (lack of better words) like some games do for them. Which is quite unfortunate, and makes me a bit sad since I would like to have proper representation for myself & have a plus sized character.

I agree. In a perfect, or at least mostly reasonable, world that's how it should work. Since the premium outfits which are so heavily detailed and accessorized (cough over designed cough), and umm personnel changes, it'd make sense to create fits for all body types when they are initially being rendered. The issues around long hair would be something else more easily addressed when the outfits are first created rather than doing a retro design change on them. It's certainly possible all these things are in the works, just being saved for future or when game goes into full release (lol)

The sernuk plushes also have rounded off ears-- reminds me more like bunnies w/ their ears flopped down-- for example, too. the style theyre tryign to keep with though, might just not "work" in the same way w/ the Muujins.

You know, all these new plushies really drives home the idea that there needs to be a community-driven bingo contest where each board has things like "Get a proudhorn plushie". Where you can have contests between 2 communities or within 1 community and the player that wins would get a bunch of cakes or something. Or S6 could make it an official feature and reward winners with Zeki coins depending on the difficulty of the contest. Could even have a gold sink by having the community pool gold towards a bingo card.

From what I understand, it actually reduces how many things are actually rendered in for the switch in kilima for example. A lot of people have mentioned how things look different compared to switch/pc. (I dont really know how true this is since i haven't loaded it on switch myself.)

I would imagine this isn't as easy, when it's on people's plots. Since those are things ppl are crafting themselves, etc.

Essentially:: Easier to get rid of renders of things that are fixed in one area, vs what someone is crafting and setting themselves.

My best guess is that it's purposely spaced out in the actual town not to be so dense, but with housing, you're going to have a LOT of small, invidual items at various levels of polygons (and visual effects like lighting/glows/reflections) and foliage all packed into one square that's all loaded in at the same time

This is just my theory, but: We don't fully load all of Kilima at the same time. We see the area we are in, in the direction we look at, in high quality high-polygon count. Surrounding areas get loaded as we move and look around, and areas we've left behind get mostly deloaded. Especially on Switch, when you're moving fast, you can actually see this loading and de-loading in action, you see stuff increasing in poly-count and getting nicer textures while you move closer.
Home, however, is too small for it to meaningfully reduce the computation power needed to render everything, meaning we'd have to render everything at once.
Additionally, Kilima and Bahari are relatively static - they can control the density of things, what goes where, what takes how much computation power, and balance things that way. Enforcing this kind of balancing is much much harder when players can decorate things the way they want, since players possibly put everything close together and you'd still want it to work. This further reduces the usefulness of "only loading stuff close to you", since you'd still have to account for the possibility of that being everything.

I have conflicting feelings on the free rooms for the furniture levels though. True. I guess I just didn't have an issue on that front. I don't really know how grindy the game can be in it's later stages yet but now, at the start, I was quite happy with the pace. I got a tent to decorate, then I got a nice house to decorate and by the time I felt that I was outgrowing the house I had enough of a hang of the game to start raising money for expansions. Felt like a very steady and natural progression, from a game development and narrative standpoint.

But yea, as I said I don't really know how grindy the game can get in it's later stages so I think I'll have my hands full expanding my house for the coming weeks even with the free rooms. I do hope they won't make it any simpler any time soon though, I feel like the house is meant to be a major achievement and long-time goal. 😄

So Ima be real blunt here. They really screwed the pooch on books.

No book bundles so they really think we need to place these 1 at a time and take up 1 item per book instead of releasing a few book bundle options to fill up a shelf while not taking up more than 1 item limit.

THEN they had the audacity to make the books taller than the shelves so they clip through.

I'm just tired ya'll. Always one half step forward with more problems and never just the full anticipated thing you'd assume

Not to mention we can't even make them when we have all the ingredients

I have yet to see a single time quest. I've been playing since maybe beginning of April and I've finished all of the main quests, the only one I have left is "Strange things afoot: Wait for the story to be continued". Nothing else has been timed

the series of quests which introduces subira (the one where you make those star dishes and the investigator furniture) was originally announced to be time limited. look at the patch notes https://palia.com/news/patch-173 idk if the devs changed their minds or not but that was 6 months ago and it's still available
