The best grove I've seen was 11. It was the camp location just north of Flooded fortress.
I've seen that grove a couple times after, but each time it only had 10.
So part of me wonders if I miscounted the first time, or if there's a variance in their exact number.

The grover on the north side of the inside of Fortress is the wrost. It only has 2. I hope they either remove that one, or add more trees. The one time I saw it, it was a huge disappointment.

Inside the fortress many of the trees are small they get felled fast leaving only a few.

The south side one, yes. It spawns 6, and 2 are one hitters.

kenli ||asks us to literally SAVE daiya farm from repossession and then just casually drops that it's "too late" but he will write a strongly worded letter to solve the matter! and that's the end???? what in the hell he said they had tenants already lined up lmao||
ashura ||asks our help to reconcile with his son and write to him, we help him pick what/how to contact him and when he finally respons with some vague "not ready yet dad" letter he also sends a pair of ormuu horns for the inn and Ashura just hands them to us??? a gift from his estranged son he hasn't spoken to in a while???||

the way that quest is worded depends on which letter you tell him to send. here's the screenshots of the dialog from the wiki in case anyone is curious without wanting to go look it up. ||different enough that when people mentioned finding out about the granddaughter from Subira I was confused because the dialog I got had mentioned it||
in one dialog tree he sends you the horns because ||he already has one||

I’ve enjoyed the updates but am pretty easy to please with game content. IMO, there’s not a lot new to encourage social interaction/co-op. Wouldn’t hurt to see what’s new for you tho~ Skimming patch notes might be sufficient.

I’m so late to respond to this but yess many are saying it. Palia is using up over 5k memory after 30 minutes of being open instead of the usual 2-3k, making my and friends fans go brrr too hard

Same thing happened quite a few patches ago but was seemingly fixed that next patch, seems like last weeks patch reintroduced not only bugs but some issues with running it too

I personally think the first platform levels with the swivel is the determining factor for speedrunning this whole thing. It determines whether you can clear it fast or not.

Everything after that is just easy slow steps because of how less of a mass the platforms above are.

Its actually possible to finish this run at 10 or 12 minutes. The first level platforms and a not perfect platform jump at the end costed me a whole minute.

I hate the moving platforms because they randomly teleport sometimes and every time I want to jump from one to the next I hear the little voice in my head going "it's gonna teleport and you'll have to start over"

Having to have Items in your Inventory to be able to gift it to other players is Broken - In a bad way and here's why:

When you ask a player in game for let's say "Spicy Peppers" People might not carry all of this around on them ALL the time, same with other things like Silk Threads or Other Materials.
So what does that other player do? They go to their Homestead and what does the game do?
It Throws them Into ANOTHER Server so now the request no longer appears for them
and to get bacdk into the same lobby you'd have to server hop.

I know you're implementing things that will make the game better... But this isn't it

I'm no hoarder but I keep some things around in case a newer player needs it.
I will no longer be able to help anyone when I'm out and about as there's simply not enough inventory space to carry all the crap around... Or why should I carry everything around anyway when I'm out foraging or Mining

Before this crazy bug you could offer any item from your STORAGE while on the move.. No need to have it in your bag (invent) and/or go back home to get it. It's non sense. It worked before from storage. Some dev did again create a new bug by pulling the wrong side of the spaghetti code.

not sure if anyone else feels this, but the vibe of the game has changed. People used to call out pal, and wait for everyone to arrive before cutting a flow tree, and respond to call outs with omw or something. Not anymore. multiple times I have run up to people breaking large pals by themselves, or cutting flow trees as soon as they spawn, picking rare forage etc. As someone who was in alpha, I just feel like the community aspect of the game is changing from helpful, to everyone their own. It makes the game less enjoyable for me, my biggest draw was the community aspect.

I'm still seeing lots of callouts for resources. Since dari cloves and heartdrop lilies can despawn (even if they're still purring or singing), the etiquette I've seen is to pick then call out location. Sorry you're not seeing this on your servers.

i havent seen that, i even have called out a few dari/lilys and someone comes and picks it right away. the etiquettte i was used to is call out, pick after one minute. once you pick, they despawn faster.

it’s kind to post node callouts but it shouldn’t be the expectation. it can be time consuming to wait for others to maybe show up, and there’s nothing wrong with preferring to play by oneself and their own pace

ive even had a few instances of where myself and others were flow farming, and we stumble upon other people cutting the flow trees that just spawned without calling them. like in the two minutes we weren't in the area. multiple times now. or responding to a call out and having people not wait. I've been playing for a few years now and the recent vibe change sucks.

i haven’t felt an attitude shift in the community at large regarding this but that’s my anecdotal experience. i just don’t think this is really an indictment on the community now that people are more comfortable with the gameplay loop

my etiquette is to call out for multiple mediums and large, even if its just in the nearby area, since other people could be coming to check for pal in the same area. like calling out pal in spawn areas, like hideaway cove. if its a small i dont bother

my biggest issue with the pal is running to a spawn location and seeing people take large pals when im two steps away, i always use the nearby chat.

its also super depending on who you have in your servers, considering the servers prioritise friends/community members and then people you frequently are in servers with previously i have almost all good experienced

maybe 5% of the time someone comes and chops the flow tree without calling or something, but the majority of the time it’s always good vibes

Money:

When you dont have lots of money to buy whatever you want, not all of your furniture is going to match perfectly. Don't be afraid to have a bit of mismatching going on if you want that cozy, familiar, real-life look.

Okay, so I really wanted to stay away from this, but unfortunately you can watch conversations without even joining the server and I unfortunately did.

Here is my point:

I've been developing websites for other games, less cozy games, much bigger companies, and I've never had or heard anyone having any problems with data-mining. No one did mind. I've got thank you from the game company representatives for the work I've done for their game. I've been directly contacted even by founders of some companies.

And come to Palia, I loved this game, so much. Since the day I heard about it, I loved the concept, the attitude, the people.

And I built the site. I saw that it won't be comparable to my other sites, revenue wise. I knew it from the beginning that my competition is the official wiki. It's not a wise business choice at all. I continued. Because I loved the people here. I did a lot and sacrificed a lot for this and it was a pleasure.

When people asked me where I get the information, I said little elves whisper me things and we laughed together.

I did what I think it's best for this game.

I don't understand this attitude. Am I guilty for doing this? Why is it so hush that I used data mining.

The TOS has this:
"You may not use any unauthorized third-party software that intercepts, “mines,” or otherwise collects information from or through the Game, including without limitation any software that reads areas of RAM used by the Game to store information about a character or the game environment; provided, however, that we may, at our sole and absolute discretion, allow the use of certain third-party user interfaces."

S6 could have simply granted this exception, for a site which proved to be so valuable for the Palia.

This issue caused a small tear in the tapestry of the community. Oh, you misunderstand me -- you get the quest early on (I'm pretty sure I had the shepp quest at level 2), but you cannot choose -any- character as your shepp until you have completed your level 4 friendship quest with that character. If you ask before that, the ability to ask the character "vanishes" until after you finish their level 4 quest.

And yes, there are some characters you cannot ask to be your Shepp.

Haven't found a great work around yet, but I had some luck uninstalling the game, manually deleting the palia folder from app data and cleaning the registry before reinstalling. ilaraye had some instructions over in the tech-help channel. It worked for me up until I tried to go back into Bahari Bay so I'm trying it again and this time dropping all my furniture out of storage on a second plot.

Don’t leave your plot if you are there right now and in the game, you can go to a second plot and through the h menu dump out all your furniture onto the ground, and if possible make a makeshift tent or harvest house to put all your wall decor

For almost everyone I’ve seen having server connection issues/client travel failure/white rooms or pinkspace its a fix, no idea why it works but it does for those who try it

After you empty as much from your furniture storage as possible though you should relog, then when you load in try go to different maps and make sure it works

I had this issue last week. I was able to finally log into the game after signing in with an alternate account. When I switched back to my main account, I had no more issues. There are a maximum of 8 chests for storage (more with other plots was an exploit and has been patched). To get more storage, you'll want to upgrade to copper chests, which are at the register in Tish's store (not from Tish herself). The first upgrade is a recipe for 25,000 and there's an iron one after. Outside of that, the only option is 3 lockboxes, which store 100 each but hide the item from being crafted with etc.

I don't, but the basics are whoever starts the recipe must have the starter ingredients - as long as someone or other has the rest you should be good. There's a bug where if 2 people are in the menu selecting and scrolling at the same time, the menu jumps to the top for the other person - so be aware of that and maybe stagger your start by a few seconds to avoid it. Anyone who contributes ingredients to any of the steps will get cooking xp and the full cooking reward (3 meals assuming no failed steps)

I'm a dev, but not for this company. I would say that it makes sense that to have people keep their progress on "achievements not saving properly" would require data manipulation in a way that just isn't a priority, espcially while in beta. There are often conflicting issues that require resets to clear out bad data, and they can't be going through everyone's account to track what's good and what's not.

Mine was initially just the visual bug, but a couple days ago I finished collecting the starred bugs and didn’t get the achievement so something changed for me. Glad I haven’t started on starred fish but I really want to since that’s gonna to be a long term thing for me.

Exactly, I feel for the ones off of discord that got hit with the no eshe party bug and now can't do anything. Imagine how they're gonna feel when they lose their achievements bc S6 doesn't have a monkeys on how they fix it?

If you're one of the unlucky "some players" and the achievement never showed up for you when it should have, then yeah. If you already got the achievement successfully it won't be taken away.

I have my fingers crossed I can move stuff from storage into my inventory and that’ll trigger the achievement. But I’m sure many people don’t hoard starred bugs/fish. I feel super defeated for those people - it’s the sort of thing that would make me leave a game for an unknown amount of time.

They're calling it open beta but a lot of people disagree on what "beta" means, and if it counts as one... I'm in the corner of "once they confirmed no save wipes and started taking money with regular additions to the cash shop, it's a release" personally

Just last week I learned you can place fish/bugs on an empty plot if they're starred but I personally wasnt hoarding them since I didnt have space in my storage since I had too much wood, fiber, stone, and worms. I think though that if my fish and bug achievements are really and truly not coming back after I finished the normal quality ones I might just not care anymore about the trophies because its just going to make me too upset to earn it all back
