I'm glad that breaking up with an NPC doesn't have a consequence, like them being super sad or upset that you broke up with them. Becuase I want everyone's portrait to put in my house so I've been romancing everyone. Jel was the first one I broke up with and, THANK GOODNESS the game just acts like nothing ever happened. Reth and Einar are the only ones I won't break up with. Though I MIGHT keep Hassian's romance at Lv4, because his backstory is sad, and it's nice just seeing the guy be happy. TT^TT

You can. Disconnect all the pieces (right click to remove back to inventory) and when you have just the harvest house, you can right click on it to put it in your inventory.

Then you can go add it to your other plot.

I had a laugh tonight-- making use of the new multi-Harvest House feature, as well as having finally completed my Hodari romance, I built a guest house for Najuma in the very northeast corner of the lot, just in case they both wanted to visit and she wanted someplace quiet to do her work whilst a date was happening. And I realized afterwards, there's a somewhat overgrown path leading directly from the guest house back door up to that mine. I can only imagine the fun she'll have.

The apparatus requires focusing to charge the potions with flow, and the gemstones are the focus. The power of the flow consumes the gem, of course. Depends on the NPC and what kind of personality type when dating you consider "bad"

I dont really feel comfortable with explicit intent to go beyond hugs...

I think the only character that you can get "more than hugs" flirty is ||Hodari. You can respond saying you wanna kiss him for one select dialogue. There MAY be that option for Hassian too, or at least something like it. I know for sure with Hassian you can say to hold hands|| but you never actually do or see anything, and you can always pick a different option.

I suggest trying it and if you dislike it, just break up with them lol

If you're a completionist, you'll wanna date at least one of them anyway for the "receive a pin" accomplishment

Nooo they never go that far, don't worry. The most you can say is wanting to kiss someone but it's only one or two select NPCs and you can always pick a different option than that one, so you never have to say it. And they never say that to you unless in response (i.e. something along the lines of, "I'd like that too")

I was just wondering just because this is an MMO and so I know that typically they can be ongoing and Palia has SO MUCH potential to be such a rich world and I so hope they realize and keep realizing that potential (literally boundless for this cozy game full of lore and discovery and character development, different plots etc.) so I wasn’t sure if some quests are just extra extra extra extra time consuming due to MMO style or just perhaps bugs so thank you so the tip!

I've caught a few.
Never used a lure or a jar to do it.
I just made sure to run around the Hollow from 3am, scaring off every bug that wasn't a mantis, and catching any butterflies I saw to raise the chance of a Duskwing spawning.
Just like chopping trees makes flow spawn.
Just like mining rocks makes room for better spawns.
And keep in mind, the Duskwing can see you coming from a fair distance.
Be ready to throw!

So a Star Path is the combo. For instance, an Air Artist is different than a Fire Artist, is different than a Fire Scholar.

Think of it like the Western Zodiac (Leo, Taurus, etc) But what people call the Western Zodiac is our SUN Sign, and then there's the Moon Sign (what constellation the moon was in when you were born) and the Rising Sign (what constellation was on the eastern horizon when you were born).

The gazebo and the garden take up a lot of space as well. I think it's too big to put a fence all of the way around it but you have a rock wall protecting your lot already, lol.

Hey, I just wanted to see if anyone feels like this game has far too extended periods of (real) time to wait for things to craft. -- one minute for a plank, 8 hours for the first house's foundation, etc.

A timer to change your clothes (24 real hours)?

I downloaded this game after seeing it on a list of upcoming MMOs and haven't seen such long time periods for an MMO.

For a single player game like animal crossing I could see it making more sense, or a mobile game that's trying to monopolize your time to increase microtransaction purchases, but for an MMO this feels odd.

The time already being this long for so many of the initial items in-game feels concerning as far as how much time it will take for later things when this already feels like a lot.

As an adult as well it's harder to have windows to play games and these longer times make it even more restrictive.

Yeah I would agree. I think it makes sense for the game but I'm also early on and have gotten to the first big timer with the foundation and felt like my progression was halted by a lot this early on. Not sure how the progression looks later with building up your plot but I feel like there needs to be more of a build up to receiving a timer, because it goes from leaving to wait for materials to finish to a full 8 hour timer.

Just a note: There's no timer for changing clothes, only for changing your character's body/face/skin/eyes/voice. These can actually be changed just once before the next weekly reset (about twelve and a half hours from now), but that's brand new and might change with feedback. You can change just your clothes and hair at a wardrobe on your plot or at Jel's changing rooms any time.

I feel like the timers for crafting and building are okay once you realize how much more there is to do while you wait – it did take me a while to figure that out when I first started. You can gather resources and level up your skills, you can chat with the characters every in-game day to unlock their quests, you can find other quests from items around the maps. You're right that there's little in terms of group activities, but this is at least in part because the game is still a work in progress and there are more features to come.

I think they're probably fine for players who haven't started or are just starting, but probably feel worse for players who are low on quests or who have built much of the furniture and are trying to seek out the quests/recipes specifically.

I feel like things aren't explained that well in-game. A codex with info on where to find all materials at what time would be helpful. It could work like the one from dreamlight valley, where every resource is grayed out until you collect it. It would be a sort of checklist that way

It depends on the recipe
For example, in you can use nonstar spice sprouts, but in other dishes you can't use nonstar starter ingredients

It's a hidden "main ingredient/second ingredient" system, but usually if the starter ingredient is a produce (meat, fish, etc) then it's safe to assume that one will be dependent on the "mark star quality ingredients" box!!

I’m not sure where Palia players are getting this idea that making profit is bad? Players should be able to be rewarded for their efforts at a reasonable pace and at the moment, the grind isn’t super reasonable because most skills just can’t generate a good profit.

The steep pricing of things in the game has always been my biggest hurdle, and only being able to play on weekends doesn't help.
I've been in since Closed Beta, and you would never know it by looking at my house, my stats, or my NPC progress.
I just want to make a cool house.
I don't want to spend every minute of game time in a cake party, or waiting around for one.
I want to play this game and do happy chill things.

Housing is progressively more nd more expensive, especially with previous caps on building limits being raised in the last patch.
But the issues don't end there.
The festival items alone exceeded the gold cap.
I just think there are balancing issues with the economy that could be remedied by additional income options.
