Hi guys, I also had the problem with the background music and the A button. I managed to solve it. What I did was delete the game from Nintendo. Turn off the console completely, remove the memory card, turn it back on and re-download it, so the game is saved on the Nintendo directly. After the download, I turned it off again completely and put the memory card back in. I hope this can help you too.

About the chapaa chase, this morning I was playing a party with another player who uses the PC, we were on call, and she also told me about the problem of not being able to catch anything and ghost players. This problem is not only on Nintendo. I know that all of this is very frustrating, but I think the following: the purpose of the game is to distract us, not to get stressed. So if you are not having a good experience, the best thing to do is take a break, do another activity, play other games... I truly know that we are all frustrated with these recurring problems. Another tip, check if the Nintendo's connection to the Internet is ok, for example, I have 2 types of connection on the Internet router, one faster and another with a greater range and slower, I always stay on the faster one. All fixes people have found are only temporary, the issue keeps coming back because the problem is in the game itself. Only the devs can fix it for good, and they're taking their sweet time to do it despite the fact that it majorly impacts gameplay in a very negative way.

Only S6 can fix the issue nothing you can try or nothing alternative or any workaround will work if so it's only temporary. A group of us have tried every which way and nothing works so we can only sit back patiently with our fingers crossed and hope S6 devs will fix it soon.

And all we can ask is that everyone does send a ticket in and if you do mention it as not your A button but as your "interactive" key thank you.

Today for the first time ever since I played this game, I quit because the game left me freaking annoyed. I hate to play the game at the moment because of all the bugs on Switch:

• Loot can’t be picked up randomly
• ‘A’ button doesn’t work properly
• Kicked out of servers many times
• Tools can’t be picked or keep frozen
• Talking to cpr does not work
• All controls on controller are delayed

I’m crying and hope S6 will fix this. This is my go-to game every single day, but for now I’m mindblow about how bad everything works 😭😭😭

Hey all! Just reposting this for those who need help with A button / interactive. I’ll keep reposting this like once a week til it gets fixed to hopefully make your playing experience less annoying 💕

For those having the A button issues here’s a list of things that might help/fix it:

-switching the button to a different button or purposely binding 2 of the same button
-moving save data from SD card to internal memory
-removing all paid skins, tool skins, glider skins, and pets
-waiting for the full animation of whatever you’re collecting to finish & to wait between button presses.
-checking corrupt data in Manage save data>palia, then redownloading the game.
-unbind emotes & saved costumes
-switch loading zones, moving from home to town.
-do not press b/exit tool wheel, costume wheel, or emote wheel. Wait for the wheel to load & interact accordingly.

And to add on for those having trouble with groves; hit the trees once before everyone starts taking them down and back off.

Collect your loot after everyone has left & is done. This doesn’t work 100% of the time but has helped me every so often.

It’s impressive enough the game is able to work on the switch, but really wish there was an offline mode to save a bit of loading power and not spend it on other players or any online game modes.

Most games run with distance like Kirby’s Forgotten Land, where the further something is, the lower the fps & quality. But this game does both? Like u can have items look good & bad at the same time in a close proximity.

I’m assuming that it’s just textures/models not loading and then not loading at all.

Is anyone having issues farming for palium because switch players can’t switch servers easily? I just ran the whole of bahari and only found a single ore deposit. This has happened several times & I’ve seen guides talk about a server being “milked dry”?

I rarely find any palium and I've been mining like crazy lately. I know mining increases the chance of palium spawning, but it's never worked in my favor, unfortunately

Palium deposits vary by server. On one u find plenty on other almost nothing. It is good idea to keep an eye on chat. If u see palium calls coming from south Bahari, then that is a place to be. If north then come back to north. Using the ore detector helps. Also it is affected by players on server u r, there are players that find palium, mine and leave without shareing info. If u catch urself on this one, just hop to one of the boards and teleport from one location to other. Should change servers.

Yea found switching servers helped a lot, went from 3 ores whole map to 14 ores whole map.

Think I’m just getting unlucky? Use to get 25-30 ores per play session but now I’m lucky to even find 1 deposit and get maybe 1-3 ores from it 😂

Mine got a bit better after recent update actually. My main plot crashed toooo often for the last a few months. I ended up moving my kitchen to other plot so I could cook. After recent update, it still crashes, but not very ofter, at least not everytime.

The A button thing is very annoying to me, especially when I’ve used resources (arrows, bug bombs, tool health, whatever) and successfully gained some loot but then can’t pick it up.

The worst example for me happened when all the Switch buttons, except for screenshot and home, went dead while I was playing Hot Pot with other gamers. That has happened to me twice, and both times, I thought it best to stay and let the timer run out my draws rather than disrupt the other gamers’ play by exiting Palia. What was weird? As soon as the Hot Pot game ended, and it was Time To Eat, my Switch buttons became operable again.

On a positive note, I’ve found that, frequently, a nonfunctional A button will start working again if I move to a new map location (from plot to Kilima, from Bahari to plot, from Maji Market to anywhere, etc.)—which won’t fix the lost resource/missing loot problem—but at least keeps me from having to close the game and restart it.

I (very recently) submitted a support ticket to address precisely this problem. Was told that the missing pebble thing is a known issue. Will need to be fixed in a future update. No clear terms for that update. So, we just have to suck it up and hope that the devs come through with a solution sooner rather than later.

That way, your account should definitely be registered for the game fix when the update comes out (being positive here) 😊 I worked with Niks and Mizu in player support. They offered what help they could.

For all we know this issue is not caused by the game console, since it occurs only while playing Palia.
(Also as you saw by the responses you got earlier it isn't even related to a specific Switch model or if you play docked or not).

In my opinion, the only thing we can do is hoping for the devs to fix it.

I thought the exact same thing when I saw their post.

It’s glaringly obvious they don’t really care about their Switch players and it’s so disappointing.

People have submitted tickets about this issue and specifically asked them to address it on their Discord to make their Switch players feel acknowledged, and they’ve literally replied saying they haven’t acknowledged it. They know what they’re doing and I can’t excuse it anymore 😞

Especially those Switch players that have sunk money into the game and supported it in that way. It’s a real kick in the teeth

Totally. A while back a free game I was playing on switch had issues arise where some players would lose all their progress upon logging in and/or be unable to claim rewards from daily quests. I know I sent feed back on glitched loot. Switch players with the command buttons glitching out. If they might could have Auni drop it off in that mail box. He's always out looking for the bugs and we know he finds it. If more folks suggest the same they might work on implementing that losing the loot wouldn't hurt so bad.

It's a bug that happens if you don't play for a while. Take the stuff out of the hopper at the top. Then click on the "X" to the bottom right to cancel the job. That should reset the preserve jar.

i got a weird one: so, i'm chatting with an npc and i try to gift them. the menu is there but no pointer to select the gifts. its WORSE when i try to do that with Tau and i can't respond. with other npcs, i can respond to them but can't gift. the fix is to just reset the chat with them and try gifting there. but it doesn't work well with Tau and i have to reset the game and i miss out on that little session 😦

8. Closed the game completely, in the manager software I looked for corrupted files (no corrupted data was found)

Sometimes I think they make the port for Nintendo but they can't check before the updates if there are any errors. And fixing things for consoles after the update takes time and doesn't seem to be easy to do. So the errors accumulate with each new patch. In the previous patch I also had the background music missing, I played for a few days like that, until I deleted the game and reinstalled it directly on the Nintendo, and that made the music come back and become stable. This time it's not working.

yep, this patch in my case made things worse, which was flowing so well. In addition to the music, I've been kicked off the server, I've had difficulty leaving my plot for Kilima or Bahari, returning to my plot via the map is also giving an error, these things weren't happening before. I've already opened a ticket today. Let's wait for things to get back to normal and flow as well as before... until then, let's help each other by exchanging experiences. And when everything gets too annoying, it's best to take a break and come back later

I will write my impressions after playing for 2 hours straight, I stopped a few minutes ago.
I wasn't kicked from the server and I also had no difficulty going from my plot to Kilima and Bahari, I also returned to my plot without problems.
The fishing sounds came back and the control vibrated normally.
No intermittency with the A button.
I continue without the background music, sad...

I've already completed the the Night Sky temple, so I can't say if I would have difficulties with the bundles as I've read some people reporting.
I was able to finish the mission "The Strange Things Afoot" without breaking.

This is all strange and surprising at the same time.
I was thinking that maybe with the reported problems people took a break for now. Kilima was very quiet, yesterday there were a lot of people fishing together, today I didn't see anyone. Maybe this "emptying" may have stabilized the servers.

Honestly this was my experience for the most part. I had no problem leaving my plot or going to it, no issues going to Bahari from Kilima or my plot, and the fishing didn’t bother me at all. I didn’t get sound for fishing but I just followed the visuals and the fish never left even if I didn’t respond right away to reel it in. Didn’t have background music but I listen to my own so tbh that doesn’t bother me too much. I finished the “Strange Things Afoot” quest as well without problems. So idk my only small and VERY minor issues are the bundles thing and then I am having problems completing Tish’s lvl 5 quest cause there’s a bug but I reported it. Other than that, I haven’t had too much many problems.

I think maybe you should try to do Hodari's mission first, he asks for mushrooms, you can get them outside and come back. I think that way you can use the glider

I tried to reply to this over in the other channel. I used both a wireless and wired keyboard. They both worked but were at times finicky. Sometimes the buttons didn't work, sometimes it seemed to interrupt my gameplay so I stopped using them. You could use the keys to move in game. I didn't try a keyboard that attaches to the controller. Brand probably doesn't matter much if you are looking to get one. My wired keyboard is probably 10 yrs old and worked the same as the cheap Bluetooth one I got on Amazon.

There something I didn't know I thought you couldn't use a Blurtooth keyboard on the Switch that goes to show what I know then. So I wouldn't be able use use a USB keyboard if this is possible my TV is located at the other End of the Room you see I use a Wireless Controller but sometimes the pads, so if a wireless Keyboard is possible could I get one that fits into the Controller perhaps I be looking around now to see if is all possible I know it can be done on PS4. Yes - if your switch is docked. You plug the little Bluetooth receiver into a usb port on the side of your dock. Keyboard should work immediately. I have a cheap one from Walmart but any of them that have a usb Bluetooth receiver should work.

I don't have that problem but my progress in the new questline is effectively impossible because of the connectivity issues; I finished Troubled Waters, went on my merry way way to Bahari to do Into the Fire, couldn't go through so restarted the game, my quest progressed reverted back to mid Troubled Waters and now Subira is nowhere to be seen so I can't do anything. I've restarted 3 tines since and she still doesn't appear in the room

Either there's a problem with that server or they've all been hunted and haven't respawned. Switch maps, then go back. That should load you into a new server.

I've tried playing on PC today, and even though some features like building blocks are still kind of the same (not even at times, etc), omg, such a big difference, I can actually see all the details of the furniture, my character's hair is moving, so much easier to build things, to hunt, bugs catching, they stay in your area of sight! That is also a known issue, it came shortly after the a button issue. I often find myself having to restart the game. I have added tickets of it to palia support but feel free to do so u too. The more ppl complaining the faster they might fix it 🙂

When u get to Bahari keep shooting every sernuk u see and let them run around. If u meet again the same one u will kill it eventually, if not, pay attention to ur compass. When the loot bag pops up on it, go and collect the sernuk u didn't kill but someone else did. 😅

I believe it is left stick that aims. Or might be right one. One of them. And on a beginning take ur time. More u kill better u gonna get. Also u can try slowdown arrows. More shots but sernuk is really slow so it's easier to aim

Disco deer is easy if u have dispel arrows. Hit it and try to follow. Let it calm down and hit again. If someone else kills it again: loot bag on compass is ur friend. U have about 3 irl minutes to collect it

You have to open a support ticket in "submit a request", choose "account management" and in account issue choose "account deletion". Support will contact you via email, you must follow the steps that will be informed. After your account is deactivated you can create a new one.

I’ve got no music too, and any time I try and play hot pot I get stuck and can’t interact with anything. Even the unstuck doesn’t get me unstuck 😭

I think it was connectivity issues, WiFi acts up when the weather is bad.

Can someone tell me why isn't the palium bar getting detected by the quest? I already had it in the inventory box at home and the glass too so i don't have an idea why isn't detected

Haha no no it was pal but i took the picture with my phone and the colors seemed off but it was palium

I think it was a bug i had to make one from scratch and it got detected

Yep. What I do is equip watering can, water crops and then talk. Also tried to just equip watering can, run around for short while and then talk to NPC. That cured the stuck

Anyone else have this issue on switch where if they try to do multiple chat categories in one convo you lose ability to select? I completed a quest, did the regular friend chat and usually whenever I try to do the flirt in the same convo, I lose ability to select flirt options, or continue chat.

Yezz. I just back out and then chat again or exit game then go bck. Switch is not the best when it comes to palia. Was gd with the newest update but then like all Palia updates comes more issues with existing ones.

It was an issue in the past so they probably just did a bandage fix like so many others and now it’s back like the rest of. I have switch and it is a struggle and they should have never released to switch so soon. I have played since the release a year ago in a few days and almost every single issue has come back and with every update new one arises. It would be nice to at least permanently fix issues and bugs that are almost a year old and not do a bandaid fix. Also I warn switch users not to buy anything from the shop until they fix tool skin, pet, and outfit bugs permanently because those bugs come back and affect my game. I don’t use items I purchased and it helps. Ever since they added the collection with tool skins, favorite outfits, pets, tool skin and new emotes and the Maji market was affected it’s not been good. I love the game and Im hoping like every switch users the Elderwoods is the make it or break it for me. I really hope they can get it right and I don’t hold them accountable for switch issues but they new what they signed up for and still selling lemons to switch users.

They more than likely won't have it fixed until the next update/patch. The cauldron is tied in with the bundles, as it works in similarity to them.

So I wouldn't get your hopes up of them fixing the issue until closer to the end of this month. That seems to be when S6 does there updates. Hopefully before the holidays but may be in early next year when Elderwood comes out (hope not).
