Not long ago it was mining in places where there's a lot of pal, so center area of the map; like two days ago it was running around the south and north borders, because it was less crowded and there was a higher chance. Now it seems to be seen mostly between the center and the borders. It's ever changing, and I don't think there is a reliable way to stay with it in one place. Thing that worked for me was good ol' calling and hoping for a call with big ones and multiple mediums. Some people while back argued whether you should or should not break stone, and that there is always pal out there, somewhere. Yet, I don't think that there is reliable, long term way to min max mining palium, other than running around through the map or enforcing calling culture, or both.

So this game is just screwing with me now I was fishing for the void ray in the mine for hours just to have 2 different people at separate times com up and catch one with in 20 minutes. I've still yet to get one.

Hi guys, asking in here since its fishing related but please redirect me if necessary. I read on the wiki that certain feeds for the glow worm farm will produce X times more glow worms (i.e., Shepp's Pie should give 4 worms) but all I ever get back is 1. Am I missing something here? :|

Are you using food you didn't cook yourself? There is mention that food from other sources will give only 1 worm.

There is also mention that less glow worms are to be made from cooked food and the new totals might not have been added to the wiki yet...

sushi and sashimi are both based on what kind of fish you use, there was a spreadsheet somewhere around here that shows the difference. i use sashimi and i usually get somewhere between 1-3 glow worms, but i'm also using whatever random catch i get

People who ignore the stone are becoming kind of irritating, when you run into Bahari because you need ore and all you find is stone.

If you want a specific resource to spawn then you've gotta clear the shared nodes. Want Palium? Mine everything. Want cloves? Pick plants etc.

Every in game day is one hour of real life time, If everyone would cooperate in Bahari, because we all are looking for Palium and other resources, at the top of every hour (real life time) if everyone on the server would pick 5 forage, smash 5 stones and mine 5 iron nodes, I think it could be a game changer, but would require everyone on the server to cooperate.... would be a great experiment....

Its just like the Grove most people do not know that a epic/rare bug or magic animal spawns with the grove, most dont pop a buzzy jar first to catch the bug, so in turn they run here and there and chop but if no bug is present a magic animal is present, you can see the white chaapa and the white proudhorn if they spawn with the grove and I have been lucky in killing both during a grove, but no one stands back while others are chopping to try an kill the magic mujin if he is the one to spawn....

I think alot of the game mechanics are unknown to most of the people that play...It takes a village....

I see it all the time, people are actually offended of sorts when you are mining with them, even though you both get the same reward as if you mine it by yourself....I was mining with a player yesterday and suddenly after about 3 stones, the character just stopped mining..tried to talk in nearby, no answer, oh well. I just keep mining....You have better luck and more rewards with more people fishing, maybe we should have a fishing guild that chooses a day/evening to all fish for certain epic fish....???? Okay peeps how do we solve this????

I just learned that cooked higher value fish are much more productive than raw goods for the glow worms and it's not a lot of effort to do. I tend to make grilled fish out of any fish worth 80g+ (the higher value and quality the more you get) and feed my little worms those for some nice output!

No tip other than hoping for rng to be on your side. They're caught in caves with basic worms. It's true that if another fish bites you can save the bait by not reeling in and having the fish let go. You may have to reel and cast again if you do that

Ponds seem to be slightly better (cheapest fish is 85/⭐127, highest is 410/⭐615 as opposed to 80/⭐120 and 375/⭐562 in all other waters) plus only 1 of the possibles (cloudfish I think, rare day spawn) jumps.

Add to that the fact you can use the one in your plot to be always near storage and (if you have a slow pc or net connection) less strain on resources from other players, tracking moving npcs etc.

I love recasting a lot, avid recast advocate

• cast
• check fish on pole
• cancel by taking out pole when fish leaves if not the fish you want
• recast

doesn't consume bait, easy to repeat, can spend all the time you need checking the fish because as long as you don't real in it will be the same fish every time

there is no rush, no need to pay attention half as much as usual
it's really relaxing for me

Uou can fish all of the hotspots at flooded fortress, go to the outskirts sign and fast travel to Coral Cove, run up the hill to the west, and fish at Statue Garden.

There is no spot like that. Palium can spawn anywhere Iron can spawn. Best method for getting palium is mining everything in sight and hoping the nodes respawn as palium.

Or you can do other things in Bahari Bay and keep an eye out for palium nodes / wait for people to call out nodes they find.

silly answer: by going to a cooking party on Kytarah's plot (more than 15 giant goldfish caught by various people in the 4 hours of cooking I've done there)
real answer: using glow worm bait at anywhere that counts as a Kilima pond. This includes anyone's home plot, the pond behind the Daiya farm, and mirror pond near where Jina lives.

that's really up to you, RNG isn't changed by how many times you cast in a row.
Personally, I prefer to break it up into smaller chunks, mix fishing with mining. foraging, etc.

Sushi is good but very costly to use and you can’t eat when your meter is already full (this happens when you’re not reeling the fish coz it’s not the one you wanted…the focus meter doesn’t go down). Something to keep in mind.

theres a trick to catching star fishies. fish all spots in the cave (2 at most) then run to fortress and fish all spots there, then run quickly back to caves and the spots will ahve respawned

this also works in the kilima river from majis hollow

and sometimes work in bahari bay

today it worked non stop hence the 100 star fihies i caught today

Where specifically are you fishing? The anchovy is a common fish. You should be catching it constantly.

The current player theory is only a set amount of nodes can spawn, pupped from a pool. So in theory if you only break iron and palium you will cycle through that pool. But if you break rocks you add rocks being able to spawn instead. Also since supposedly only a set amount of palium spawns you should be searching far and wide since you'd have to break palium to get more palium as well. I normally check hideaway bluffs, outskirts/thorny thicket, and flooded fortress cliffs and find palium here and there while making sure to break every iron i see.

I don't think the spawn rate or widespread location to be the problem, the problem is that everyone and their mum are farming it at all times and the chances of you being the one to find the node before anyone else are slim to none.
The only way i've been finding it is by being lucky and finding it in places that aren't on the route.

Iron shouldn't be considered a rare resource when you can spit in any direction and hit an iron rock. I have a harder time upkeeping my clay/copper than I do iron xD

I think it's based on servers. Some servers are good for pal mining, some for gold, others fish, trees and so on. The trick is to find out which server it is. Just a theory tho
