I got the well finally. It is not only decorative but also provides water for the sprinkler... Right next to the plantation, perfect!
Hello, does anyone have a good farm layout purely for money? I dont mind what type of crop it is, I'm just looking for the best for cash over time.
that's entirely dependent on how many hours you play, since crops don't continue to grow offline but crafters will continue to run
there aren't any clickbait layouts where you can MAKE 1M GOLD IN A WEEK?!?! because there are just too many factors. best bet is to find the crop you can reliably harvest and just do that. maybe ask for optimization help once you get started
gotcha, ill just do bok choy then, i think thats around 12k a day minimum since it grows/sells fast
@worthy shore this is max bok without fert (it actually has more bok this way than filling all 81 spots with bok). there will be a lot of replanting and harvesting but it should also be a lot of gold
awesome ty! yea i dont mind replanting/harvesting, i use to do apple trees when i last played, but it takes so long to get going
this layout is worse (by 3 crops) but it's symmetrical! for those who like a more visually appealing garden. this is a 1 crop harvest boost layout, replace the bok choy with any other crop you want to farm. if you would prefer weed block or water retain, change the wheat to a 1x1 crop with that bonus. personally I'd suggest leaving the boost crop (in this case wheat) and only harvest the primary crop. if you aren't doing a weed block primary crop you can keep your 9 weeds on the boost/secondary crop and choose to not clear the weed
This is great! And my OCD loves it! Thank you! 😊
same idea, alternate layout for anyone with a different garden look
okay last one, but there are a lot of possible designs to get the same results
Im only at 7 plots, still want to know if I should sell my crops to get money
I fitted 3 seed collector to my plot
turning crops into seeds or preserves increases the gold earned when sold, but this does take time. not all increases are the same, as some things go up 5% in value and others 50%. if time isn't a factor, seed or preserve. if you need cash now, sell the crops. we've all been there
ok fair enough
I would also like to know which crops better be kept, like cotton is for fabric, anything else
keep a few apple and blueberry seeds when you get there, you can technically get more if you ever have 0 but it's best to save some just in case. other than that just save what you want for cooking purposes. a lot of people tend to hold onto 30 of each crop
alr thanks
can you dig up a crop
I placed something in the wrong spot
yep, hold right-click with the hoe and it'll dig it up. you won't get a seed back though, fair warning
what crop sells for the most amount of money?
finally planted
thank you
guys i have no idea what kind of farm i want
2x2 layout for a single buff. maximum bloobs or peppers
It depends on what you are going to do with the harvest. If you only sell the surplus, apples, corn and potatoes are those with the highest value. If you use the harvest to make seeds the value increases and is more profitable for some, if you make jars of preserves the increase is 50% for all, there is still the possibility of making fertilizer and glow worms or using the harvest for cooking. .. It all depends on how you manage your harvest
Hello everyone!! I have a question regarding seeds. I'm trying to make the most profit possible from my garden. Is it better for me to plant quality seeds or sell them and plant the normal seeds?
I've noticed my fertilizer almost never expires - but I only put it on the square one time. Is putting fertilizer on the plot before planting the seed bugged perhaps?
Hiiii, it is better to plant starred seeds, bc this will give you more starred crops, which cost more
It can happen if you already have the buff on the plant by other plants. Can we see your layout and which fertilizer u use?
Oh, is that how that works? Yeah, it probably is being canceled out by other crops then. I use harvest boost and I have wheat and rice all over the place, so that explains it. Thank you!
ive been wondering about the harvest boost fertalizer. My plot gives everything water retain and growth boost. But i put some of my preserves to make harvest fertalizer. I just cant see that it gives me much more crops? Is it worth it? i have five apple trees in there and just want to make money.
normally the apples give 16 per harvest unboosted, with harvest boost you should get 24 apples per
Harvest boost fertiliser might be bugged with the apple trees, though. It hasn’t worked for my apple trees in weeks, I keep getting 16.
Since when could we plant flowers INSIDE the house? 😱
Since they released the flowers
yh. i keep getting 16, hehe, thats why i didnt get the point
harvest boost via companion planting is more reliable, but as well not perfect, it fails occasionally. In my last 4 harvests (5 trees), I had 1 failing, so this was not bad at all, I had it up to 20% failure rate already, but this cycle it is just 5% and in the cycle before it was even 0%, that before that had 20% failure rate. So in total it was 5 in 60 as in 8.33% failure rate.
you can plant them left and right of the harvest house entrance as well, I put gardenia there, looks really nice, but you might have to rotate them a bit.
I only use harvest fert on 1 apple tree and it works every time. it was a little wonky at first and then I realized you have to fertilize during the growth stages. essentially at all times. don't let the boost run out. also it requires a growth tick to apply the bonus, so you can't just spam fert or plant wheat next to a crop and expect a boosted harvest on a mature crop (even tho inspecting shows the boost). fert also only has a chance to apply, opposed to crop bonus which is guaranteed
yeah, but like I just said, the crop boost isn't working all the time as well.
not to talk about speed boost from apple trees and blueberries, which totally fails.
when speed boost worked though, I found that you don't need fertilizer for the bonus days, because if you stack that fertlizer for the full amount of growth days, it is not used on bonus days.
Are there any max profit/no water/no weed farm layouts for lazy gardeners? idc what crops. level 24 gardening and can be on a lot but I just haven't since the farming was stressing me out ;w;
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-A.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.H-TBkTCbOCbTBkT-A.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.H-BkOBkTCbTBkOBk-A.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.H-BkOBkTCbTBkOBk-A.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.H-TBkTCbOCbTBkT-A.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.HA.H
5 apple trees, with 100% water and weed, with harvest boost on the trees.
Similar one but without fert
I don't really get the need for water retain. crops only tick if you are online. do people really spend more than 2 hours at a time without returning to your plot? weed is a convenience thing but it's the same as water, who plays for over 2 hours but can't spend 2 minutes watering and weeding?
probably people who spend a while farming at bahari or fishing for an epic fish. things like that lol
I personally don’t enjoy gardening as much as other aspects of the game, so I like having 100% water retain so I spend less time on it
all I have to do is weed and replant when ready
but how do you not get a full inventory in 2 hours? 100 worms is 100 fish. 5 per stack is 20 stacks. that's half your inventory, not including food or worms or whatever else you have. I spend longer emptying my inventory than I do watering my garden
tysm for the layouts ❤️
because sometimes i get full before the next cycle (go for a fishing run which always ends up in a mining/foraging run which fills up quick) come back at 11pm game time with nothing to do on the plot, so go back out again
probably been asked a lot but can you actually refill your watering can with the well in the guild store?
Yes! Fully functional
oh my gosh, amazing news
but then you'll be full again before 2 cycles, if you were full before even 1
I forgot to check gardner at reset last night, just got a flow pinecone. still need that flow juniper! only one I want and it's the only one I don't have now
eh, whatever, i like my garden to be water and weed free so that's all that matters
Everyone has different play styles and priorities. Example: I spend a lot of time out and about because I have the game up while I do other things. So I might not make it back to my home for a hours at a time. Plus, my garden has a variety of everything in it. I'd rather come back to most plants fully grown and replant them all at once, water them, throw the picked stuff into pickling or seeders, and leave again. I'm in no hurry at this point for gold in the game.
i heard about bok choy farming and stuff, is there any other gardening that i should know? what do yall use the plots for :D
I use them for apples. apples into preserves for gold or pies for focus
depends on your objective. This is the layout I am using now that gives me a little of everything, so I can cook, pickle, or sell a variety of things when I need to, depending on what quests or gifting I need to do...
This garden also gives me plenty of onions, carrots, and wheat, which I use in making Sernuk Noodle Stew. I like making that for focus because it's fast to make, and only uses free ingredients. Plus, I can stack and couple of 30-piles in inventory and keep my focus at 80%-100% all the time while I'm out and about.
how do you plant apple in one box
mine takes all 9 of them o.o
not sure what is my objective, ig id like to cook food without having to buy butter and eggs etc
i guess meats are fine, theyre easy to hunt anyway
my main goal was to make passive income using bok choy but im just too lazy to wait for that and i cant see the results, and i got bored of it lmao
i have potatoes and apple, for future worm farm
idk what i should use for the rest of the plots, i should take a look into the available foods and the vegetables to make them again
Apples take a 9-box square space, but if you have all the garden slots together, you can overlap edges
OH
I find myself just throwing in any extra items I have for the worm farms. sometimes ginger, sometimes mushrooms. Lately, with the Sernuk Slaughter Event for the plushies, I've been throwing in raw meat for the worms 🤣
i dont blame you, i want it too T-T, its an event? is it limited
can i get this link again, someone gave it to me but i forgot where it was
yess tq
did more maths. didn't use starred values (so it's just 50% more) but every preserve gets 1.24 to 1.26 gold per minute, except tomato which is 1.37. so if you want to go the preserves route for gold it's pretty even among the crops, best bet would be something that grows fast. and to always keep them running
the math is gold divided by minutes. pretty simple. so more crafters is more money. obviously but still lol
each item for preserves/pickling takes different times to produce too. I'm assuming the more expensive the sell price, the longer they take
yeah, so it really averages out. worth more as a base crop but takes longer to preserve
seeds! as for seeds (same maths) it is also best to do tomato. 2.66 gold per minute on tomato seeds, non starred. DO NOT seed potato or bok choy, their returns are super bad, .95 and .83 respectively. even worse to seed any crop that requires multiple crop-per-seed. so no apple, blueberry, or peppers.
in conclusion, best gold would likely be one of my aforementioned 1 crop harvest boosted layouts using tomato. preserve and/or seed. tbh I'm not gonna look into worm farm gpm
When I first started playing, I was all about the GPM... then backed off it when I realized I had plenty of time to just toss in preserves or my fish/bug catches. If they ever allowed anything past 300K for gold banking, I might get back into it. Right now I'm just blowing most of my gold on Zeki coins 😂
by the time we get a gold cap raise we might get new crops!
oooh they should just make up a new crop. so many in game harvestables are palia-specific I'd love a palia crop. maybe a flow crop? hello? why is this not a thing?
that would be interesting. I'd love to be able to have more than 9 crop plots to use.
imagine an irregular shaped crop. like an angle L style. would be fun to come up with layouts
or a 2x1 crop. so much potential
ngl, I'm running a max pumpkin layout when we get them. idc the outcomes I just want pumpkins
that would be a great item to introduce in game in October
and, after we grow them, we could use them for pumpkin pies, or jack-o-lanterns to light and set on our porches 🎃
been grinding to get the well !! i'm so excited
Congrats!
yes. maybe they will give us a giant pumpkin plush to rival frogbert
tysm! ❤️
I just got my well recently too. haven't used it tho
Yes!
Cornucopia is the only one left to get for me... then a second well for my flower and tree farm
the well was my first priority, as it allowed me to place my garden further away from the pond... bc i'm lazy
also these are all just my opinions and I may be wrong. it happens! if anyone has improvements or sees where I went wrong please correct me
Does anyone have a simple list of how to process each crop for best return?
I'm confused/overwhelmed trying to remember what to preserve and what to seed
check the pin comment
Question what does the secondary action do for the hoe?
remove plants
Hiii!! I got question! I grew a flow tree, and its completely mature if i keep watering it will it give me more seeds or should i just cut it down?
After it reaches maturity, it will give you one seed after several more days of watering. No more after that.
ty for the reply!!
you can cut it or keep it. though if it's mature you will need help cutting it down, I suggest grow a few and then get a friend and you both get wood, or just someone from the community.
Just realized... you can't get unstarred crops once you hit level 50 gardening. Doesn't that mean you legit can't gift crops to anyone once you hit that level?
P.S. This doesn't include the crops you can buy from Badruu's stall, but even then you can't really gift blueberries or apples anymore...
You can gift starred things too
wut
About the mature flow trees on my plot, since I can't cut it down by myself and need help, does this mean if two strangers would visit my open plot they could swoop in and chop all my flow trees? 😳
only editor player can chop on your plot
u can edit ur home for only friends visit u! and they only can do it if they have the editor role
yeah, the conclusion from this is really, construct your garden after what you need, in the end it isn't that much of a difference for as long as speed boost isn't working. Once it gets back to being fixed though, layouts with apples and blueberries will have an advantage again - always given, one has the right amount of crafters to actually process all that produce, which is supposed to be processed. I run currently 20 seeders to bridge those 4 days of additional growth time of my apple trees, because speed boost isn't working, converting nearly all wheat and rice to seeds to gain 50% more value out of those.
I juggle my 30 crafter slots all the time, once the apples get live again in 4 hrs, I replace 10 glow worm farms by jars, run 40 apples through seeders and 80 through those jars, another 8 jars will do the blueberries which have build up meanwhile and further 8 jars more will do corn. With the next apple harvest 24 jars will do apples, 4 seeders will do wheat and rice and with the remaining 2 slots I will saw wood and smelt metals. To be flexible with crafters has it's merits.
I wish that there was more soil slots you could have.
Yeah, my wish to have a whole lot devoted to farming is gone out of the window for now.
I could imagine one 9 plot garden on every housing spot, where just one garden (which you would need to select) would be running at a time. This would not change balancing, but would be more interesting to operate.
otherwise, from an income perspective, those 9 plots are really enough, if well managed.
in a way I'm doing that with 4 characters, just playing one at a time, while the others pause. If this would be possible on just one account, it would be more convenient.
ok, given that building the 4th and 5th house is really expensive, when rooms get beyond the 30k price tag each.
not sure they really do though, my most expensive room is currently at 28k.
That’s not true
No? Oh my bad then
you used to be able to, but they reverted to non starred - so they removed that ability.
I agree there - I make enough for what little money I need. I just log in more often if I need more money.
But my initial plan was running a farm growing everything and trading out to other players.
Because that isn't possible ( at least not yet ) I'll take my time waiting for their plans for Bahari City when it arrives ( I assume it will eventually ) . That sounds like a perfect location for a merchants guild set up where you can buy and sell from players who have reached a set skill level and are accepted into the guild. Yes, I have already suggested this idea to them
the question with that is, if there is an actual market worth having - is there enough demand? I really doubt that, and without enough demand you won't be able to establish a market worth having.
think about what you would need for example? pretty much nothing I guess, because you can produce it yourself or have access to ways to get it otherwise - maybe there would be demand for flow wood and flow planks, but then again, pretty much no supply to satisfy this demand, because it is a rare resource. And without a balance between supply and demand you have again no working market.
whats the most convient food to get harvestboost fertilizer? i really need help ;)
I just gifted a star quality carrot to Reth. Or do you mean the weekly gifts won't count if they're starred? (The carrot was just a normal gift, not weekly afaik)
See this is where I am thinking later on down the line, where maybe you will likely not have time to keep all skills up to the level you might need .. so you can pick your priorities and purchase from others where needed. Their initial comments on the skills was that they expected people to specialise with 2 or 3 skills. Granted it was an early dev answer ( alas from one of the ones no longer with us 😭 ( well not with the S6/dev role anyway )and he answered most of the early questions)
There will be a skill, or 3, for everyone. My wife and I already have a plan to diversify our specializations.```

Really depends on the activity. I expect some folks will gravitate and even specialize in certain things they like more. But technically you can do it all```

This is actually what I have done. I generally garden, fish and bug catch. I might pick up the odd spice/flower/mine etc in passing or help out with a flow tree group I come across but outside of that, I buy what I need when I need it.
Ah, I was thinking the conversation was on gifting to other players. No clue on npc gifting. I think I can count on one hand how many npc gifts I have given out in the last 6 months
I use sweet stuff on regular worm farms and grasses on glow worm farms for harvest boost fertiliser
Ohhh, I misunderstood. I thought we talked about NPC gifts and not player requests. My bad
grasses? what is that ;)
wheat, rice, corn
well, specialization fails due to limitations. In Palia you are hitting walls all the time when you try to run something really intensively. I guess, the devs never have played a game with an economy where just the sky is the limit and they might not have an idea, what the entrepreneurial player type is able to do or expects being able to do. Already the terminology is showing this - gardening - this is exactly what it is, a private garden, far from anything what running a farm would be like.
ohh okk!! thank you so much
thankssss!!!!!!! it really helped a lot!
which is why I give very very detailed suggestions - many of them
Hopefully one day Palia will replace Star Wars Galaxies as my favourite trading game 🤞
Yeah, I suspect why they called it gardening rather than farming. Two different aspects there. My face dropped when the skill names were announced, knowing full well it wouldn't be as detailed as I would have wanted it to be
mine is EVE as the go to economic game - there will always be demand, because it is pvp everywhere, one side is producing everthing, the other is destroying everything, creating enough fear for high tech to be in demand as well.
Yeah I tried Eve for that aspect... but .. fighting .. pvp even worse .. put me off. I haven't touched it since the first day except once for a few minutes
it is not dangerous at all, if you know what you are doing, I was 2.5 years in worm hole space, never got killed, lost in total 2 ships - it is all about knowing what you are doing. Playing it since 2008. And pvp, I am no longer into it, but I know that it is necessary to make the economy work, so I embrace it.
another thing is, for a market to work it would have to be across all servers, you don't have a market, if it is limited to the current server design. But then again, if I look at my own production, what would I have to sell? apple jam, blue berry jam and star seeds, that is all I would have to sell.
and practically no one really needs those.
And my demand - flow plank, flow wood, silk -and no one would really like to sell those. You see the problem here?
Yes I agree at the moment there is no need because people are doing everything at the moment as they either can't acquire it whenever they want, whenever they need and a quantity they want, or because they have too much time and not enough to do. I only did every skill, so I had the ability to buy from the guild store when I needed to. As soon as I reached that level I stopped
<< Level 12 mining, Level 15 cooking, Level 18 furniture crafting ( rough estimates as I can't remember the exact numbers but I know they are under 20 after 6 months
) I have no interest in those and spend as little time as possible on them
And because I can't trade or even donate to players when I have the items available once my storage stock is full I stop gardening ( and its my favourite skill )
Now, imagine special items available at gardening skill 2000 ( my mums at level 212 or higher now after 6 months ) and more adventuring content so that people simply don't have time to do everything and drop gardening for something better and more fun .. for them. I'm using gardening as an example cos of .. the channel
Keeping to the gardening example.
What if there were like 100 crops at some point in the future .. but still stuck with 9 plots ( or maybe a few more ) to grow in .. people will have to make choices .. wouldn't supply and demand kick in then. People will either grow what gives them gold - or what helps them make the best food item etc .. And there will be a market for those people that want the stuff that isn't gold making or in the best food item .. but need that item for a gift that week , or for a recipe for a quest etc.
Basically, I am thinking of the future, which is why I am making suggestions now so that they are there when they need it.
ok, so it is basically the argument about too little too late, Palia isn't advanced enough to make it work at this time.
yes, that is it .. it's too soon for it to be feasible now .. but later on when skills grow enough and the world content expands enough, players time frame won't necessarily grow to match, so something will have to give, if it reaches that point 🙂 I have reasonably high hopes it will come based on this after beta started dev post. Things might be up in the air at the moment, so maybe it will be later than they planned. All going well of course 🤞
Note: The request system is not meant to be a replacement or stand-in for an open trading system in Palia, which we discuss more directly in a future blog post on economy.
https://palia.com/news/dev-update-august-2023
yeah, I read that and the gifting system is more a lore thing imo, to be a generous and overall nice person, it follows the general vibe of the palian society.
which is btw as well valid in real life, being generous gets you further than being greedy.
If you think of it this way .. villages like Kilima may well run more like a gift/receive/helping type area as you say. Now imagine a place like Bahari City, with what could be hundreds of players ( depending on the size of the place etc of course ) where currency like gold is more prevalent in exchanges.
Some of my suggestions have been as simple as :
Donation Bin outside your lot or in Kilima Town Centre for items you want people to have
A donation equivalent of the request system
Periodic Market day at Maji Market area when the market is on where you can run a Market Stall for a week. With a 25 person server limit there is space for everyone there I am sure.
To, what I mentioned earlier regarding a merchant guild after reaching x level in y skills etc allowing you to rent/purchase etc a shop in Bahari City to sell some of your items.
that is a nice idea which would work now already, a weekly maiji market at the event location with own stalls.
but the thing is with your point on gardening, except for the spicy peppers (which i think/feel might just be an oversight) and the blueberries and apples (which are massive money makers in their own ways) badruu sells all of the crops raw, including the new bok choy and cabbage. by the time new players are at the point where they need the higher food focus, they most likely already can buy the crop from him. it's what i've been doing, buying the corn from badruu to make my petit fives. so, if they are willing to put the raw crop of the two newest in the register, they most likely will put any other crops as well.
but maybe not for a week, but on a certain day like saturday, something like the Salamanca market in hobart, tasmania.
ok, I would be likely to buy peppers as well, because I don't like to plant them anymore.
and even if you don't want to buy the crops, you can always just dedicate a few days to have the crops you need to make the focus food. i still have a stash of blueberries and peppers in my lock box for if i need them to cook. but if i need to get more, i can just wait until my garden is empty, then plant what i need
but that is expensive, seen in opportunity cost, if you plant something and don't make 70k per 24hrs meanwhile. Being able to buy peppers from others would be much cheaper.
My thought has always been .. Do Yourself or .. Buy from players as cheaper ( or more preferable) than Buying from npcs. How quickly you need to get them will decide which avenue you choose along with your funds. For people like me who rarely hit 100k before buying that next house addition to expand the aquarium or restaurant
time and money will be a factor in the choice 🙂
an inconvenience for a bit, then you go right back to your normal garden, it's just like having a job where you have to buy specialty items and then being reimbursed through your job. you lose the money that you have for the items, but then the company will pay you back.
I calculated that, with not functional speed boost, the difference is about 30k per 24hrs and with speed boost it is more than 50k per 24hrs, what planting something else will cost you in opportunity costs, money which you don't make, because you don't continue to run your high yield garden for some time. It is much too expensive and a waste to do that.
you can get that easily by mining, bug hunting, hunting in general, cooking, fishing. it's not all about the garden
it doesn't matter, whatever I plant there, would be much too expensive, because I am planting something, what doesn't make me good money.
and focus food is kind of a luxury - when I calculate, what I could make with those ingredients, if I don't waste them on cooking, then this food is much too expensive as well, I better eat jam or pickled stuff instead.
I'm cooking stuff as well, as a leisure activity, and to create a bit of luxury, well knowing, that it isn't worth it.
like I throw corn in my jars, and 48 minutes later i have 4320 focus available, why would I want to cook that much, this is doing it by itself.
I just discovered the flora give seeds
The flowers? Yep, both flowers and trees give seeds back when mature
Am I supposed to water the trees? I cut all of them down
🫣
You can plant new trees, those you can water to make them grow.
I accidently sold m apple tree seed pack 😭 how do I get another one?
buy them from badruu if im not mistaken
or request it
Does anyone have an issue fertilising the bigger crops, (apples, peppers & blueberries)? the fertilising count keeps resetting after it gets to 88😭
Do all of the trees? I've gotten seeds from 3 types of trees but just finished maturing some Junipers and they didn't give seeds
they give seeds too, but when they are mature, they do for a short while not show the watering prompt, but it will reappear and watered a few times they will give a seed as well
Okay. I'll see if it'll let me water them more tomorrow, thanks!
Hey. After the first harvest, how long between harvests for the blueberry bushes and how many times can they be harvested?
Anyone else have random new little trees growing on their home plot suddenly? Update: Logged out and back in, and they're gone LOL
ghost trees. spooky
I have yet to experiment with efficieny of gardening to maximise profits/ focus food. But I keep thinking I need to coz I’m feeling overwhelmed and just making/selling things “willy nilly” and feel like I could def be getting more bang for my time buck 🥹
(Sorry didn’t mean to respond to that comment specifically)
Palia told me that ive officially harvested 100 apples...would have been great if i kept em all.. (photo contains spoiler for Root temble bundles)
omg what do you need this for… i need to know so i can save 😭😭
a bundle unfortunately
wait so do the trees stop growing when they’re mature? i stopped watering them cause i liked the height they are at but if it gives seeds then i’ll def water them …
i don’t think i’m up to bundles.. or im just dumb and haven’t come across them bc i haven’t seen anything on them in my game but i keep saving my emeralds and stuff for them 😭😭
If you water them till they're big they should give seeds back, but it's great to keep various sizes for your plot
hey do you know any garden layout which has all the crops placed symmetrically or at least well organised with 100% star and water?
All crops meaning also apples, bloobs and peppers?
yep
s6 has made foodstuff prices so, that they are not worth it as a solo chef, basically adjusted prices to the habit of running cake parties in groups, where everyone participating gets the dish independently of contribution. Cooking focus food in groups makes sense, but not really as a solo chef.
I tried my best aahhaha, here is what I made:
1)however this one is not 100% star (only the cotton is without buff, all other crops are) and I am not sure how symmetrical it is

(The bok choy/onion/carrot can be changed every harvest with each other)
- Also not 100% starred bc of cotton+the apple is not harvest boosted, which I would recommend doing with fertilizer
@devout pewtergardening income depends a lot on how often you can advance your garden, how actively managed it is and the amount of crafters you have and your flexibility in using those crafter slots efficiently - currently speed boost from blueberries and apple trees isn't working and harvest boost can fail from time to time. My all star seed garden with 5 apple trees and 4 blueberry bushes generates about 70k per 24hrs (24 ticks of the garden that is, not an rl day) and could get to nearly 100k, if speed boost would work. I run 30 crafters though, 28-30 dedicated to processing produce.
But it means juggling with crafters, sometimes I run 4-5 seeders and 24-25 jars, sometimes it's 28 seeders and some other configurations.
Excuse me, does somebody know the site which listed all values to get from Pickled Stuff, Seeds, Worms…
Cant find it anymore. Thanks in advance! 🤗
this worm farm output chart should have most of the relevant information https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tr5KdvomPxOsA93HC9S7vDdP_bnffWifpwwQPCectdg/edit#gid=0
this table shows the maximal processing capacity per crop type https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/1160984775025250364/1224200417391542282/image.png?ex=661ca07c&is=660a2b7c&hm=ed18e37e7870d1087d37697cf579565d3a10a66e21d1ceaaef25c01d132a8a67&
per rl day that is
this is for example relevant, if you think you could run a bok choy garden with a mass amount of bok choy - you have to see, that you can at most process 600 bok choy with 30 seeders per rl day, which could be generated with 40 harvest boosted bok choy in your garden and 15 ticks to advance your garden - which would in star quality generate 52.8k gold per rl day, plus the booster crop, which you cannot process - process capacity is important to take into account.
in short, whilst bok choy has the highest increase in value when seeded, it is not the crop, which will give maximal income of your garden, due to limitations in the post-harvest-process.
Isn't apple and blueberry not that good for income ?
I run 5 apple trees and 4 blueberry bushes, even their speed boost isn't working currently. It is quite profitable, but I have 30 crafters and can advance my garden about 16-18 times per rl day.
haha thank you so much! i've been using this one i made for a while and i loved the displacement of the crops until i got bored of watering every day 😄 will give a chance to yours, you've been so kind ^^

I'm grateful to her as well, because she was so insistent in pointing out flaws in my approach to maximize my garden output. This helped me a lot.
Is using harvest boost on apples throughout their whole life cycle worth it / effective?
Unharvest boosted apples give u 16 apples, harvested 24. And u have to use that fertilizer every grow tic for it to be effective (u can also stack up to 99 fertilizers)
Thanks for all the links and tipps!
It was a page, quite the same style like the garden planner and it showed every possible way to process crops, into seeds or pickled and after this into Worm/Glowworm farm and the calculated money you will earn.
Maybe somebody remember 😉
that fertilizer costs you 5 per unit iirc, even on a non starred tree you get about 7.58 gold per fertilizer unit spent from boosting the tree, so even then it is reasonable, and ofc even better with star quality and post processing, which generates about 17.5 more gold per fertilizer unit spent.
Thanks, this one I know ❤️ It was a website with the icons from all the items and you could also compare stuff and so on ^^
Damn I should have copy the link 😆
YEEEEES!!! * ___ * thanks a lot!
you're welcome
thanks ! that’s what I’ve been doing, was just wondering if it was necessary
Thoughts on this layout? I WFH so can water/tend to crops throughout the day while mostly afk Trying to get a manageable layout with good profits. Wish we could just do rows - would be much more aesthetically pleasing lol https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-RBkRBkBkBkBkRBk-WAARAAWAA-APTABBABB-BkBkBkRBkRBkBkBk-CoPTCOCCoTP-PCrROPCbTCrR-BkRBkBkBkBkRBkR-WAARAAWAA-ASpSpASpSpAPT
can try this tool if you just need layout ideas https://paliapedia.com/tools/garden
WOW tysm
The 4 apple 4 bluebs layout is uh, very suspicious once the apples are finished...
I got Star Quality Tomato Seeds. Does planting them increase the chance of getting a star crop? Is it even worth planting or selling?
yea
plant as soon as you have one, you have a higher chance to get star crops and seeding them will results in more star seed
Sometimes I receive 24 apples, others 16, always using speedygrow... I still don't understand the logic... I thought it was the influence of the weed, but even using WeedBlock I still receive 16 sometimes... Can you help me?
eventually you want to only plant star seeds I believe, at least Im doing so
Weeds don’t have influence on harvest, it prevents plant from growing. Receiving less apples is just a bug and we still don’t know logic behind it
@hallow yachtand putting star crop into seed maker has higher chance of making star seed?
it will be star seeds garunteed
I feel as if I made a fatal mistake lol. New to Palia I jumped on the tomato farm train not realizing the info I found online was outdated. Recently read it was nerfed. Should I just sell all the tomato’s seeds I generate and maybe transfer to potato’s or is tomato’s still viable? Thanks
i would say do both, alternate between tomatoes and potatoes (or look further up for other layouts) so that they keep each other watered. i was also told when i started that tomato seeds was the way to go, so i did at one point have all slots full of just tomatoes. but then realized that i was doing everything else and forgetting to go back to the plot to water and weed. so started mixing potatoes to keep everything watered
Gotcha sounds good thank you 🙏🏼
Don't think you can make a fatal mistake in Palia
the only thing i would think that could be considered "fatal mistake" would be picking a name that you don't really like at the beginning and later on wanting to change it. though, i'm not sure if when you ask support for a change if it's just the name or you lose everything you've done
tomatoes are still one of the better crops, no worries about that
but companion planting in a pattern will indeed make some things a bit easier
tomatoes were nerfed but only to bring them more into balance with the rest of the crops
if you need a starter guide for gardening, check the pinned messages in the general chat under Palia Guides!
Thank you
Fair. I guess that was a little dramatic
Sooo I planted potatoes and wheat next to my spice peppers to apply water and harvest boost to the peppers but it’s not showing the bonus anyone know why? (I’m pretty new to using the bonuses and usually just plant whatever wherever)
The pepper plant takes up a 2x2 space, which means that you have to apply each boost twice to it. Similarly, the apple tree needs 3 of a boost to apply
Thanks!
Depends on what you want. Ideally you plant in a pattern to have your garden self water and self everything. But...if you just want money, that's different. Also, you never sell star crops, always make them into star seeds, they will 100% of the time sell for more as star seeds. Here's a great tool for you.
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/
Def want to do it for the money I don’t mind doing the work I just want money for upgrading my house lol and thank you!
100%. So that website is a great way to "find" what you want for all of it, it will tell you at the bottom the amount of money it will make and there are deffo a bunch of layouts for you to have as well. If you are a newer player and want some more resources, just dm me. Idk how cool S6 is with 3rd party stuff in this Discord. Lol.
Dmed
does a plant provide its boost even if it isnt watered?
any feedback? i wanted something that would give me a decent supply of bbs and apples, while being mostly self sustainable. thinking about dropping some water retention for more weed protection because the sight of weeds makes me physically cringe
does anyone know what crops sell better as seeds?? im level 7 in gardening
there's a graph in the pin comments
thank youuu
another flow samara. now I have 3 samara, 2 acorn, and 1 pinecone. still no juniper rip
I do not want to grow any crops that increase quality ever again.
Why not?
I hate it, I just want to cook
You can cook with starred ingredients
Yes but then if it has forage items in it then I have to have starred of those as well, And I don't see the point because you can still get starred meals with regular ingredients. Plus I like helping people with requests and I can't give them things that are starred so two reasons why I hate them. Hmph
There's a price to pay for excellence Sir Dingus IV
You don’t actually need starred forage items. It will take nonstarred as well. But yeah the request stuff sucks
Not if you're doing a quality meal? Wait are you telling me it does
I wouldn’t know. My great great grandfather hid his wealth somewhere in Camelot and we have been unable to find it
Have you tried bashing your shin on tables? Have you unlocked your family's secret by putting the ding... In dingus
Specifically Four times
If you check use star quality ingredients, it will pull first from star quality. If you don’t have an ingredient in star quality, it will still use the non star version
o<-<
Let me try
Ding
Ding
Ding
Ding
Oh it worked I’m rich now!
Two hundred ye- I mean days of wasted ingredient opportunities....
And if you want only some ingredients to be starred, you can put the starred ingredients you want to keep in a lockbox
Oh I have so much stuff locked up.
Like the wish event food, My ex, I MEAN CARROTS
One thing I wish they would fix is that starred cotton costs more than fabric... 🤧
Yeah that is weird
And guess who can't grow normal cotton. Yeah that's right, Reth, but also me.
Are you looking to make money? You could just sell the star cotton
Oh I do
Of course I do, I would waste like four gold? like every time and that's just unacceptable.
4 gold adds up
sometimes there can be an extra seed whilst converting produce into seeds, which can be non-starred, even all the starred produce was converted into regular star seeds. This is a problem, when the 3rd product slot is used by this extra seed, because seed maker will stop operation, which means in the worst case, that it stops with 34 star seeds and 1 normal seed, instead of getting to full capacity.
it happened even without a normal seed, so I think its just a seed collector bug
I believe I had a 30, 30, 4 star seeds and it stopped
I don't think technically any of them do? But I do know that you get a thousand coins for Apple seeds. Though it does take 10 apples to make one bag of seeds
...
Well I just realized that the thing is pinned and I was wrong and I should have checked that before I spoke it I have Well I just realized that the thing is pinned and I was wrong and I should have checked that before I spoke But I spent My first half of this entire day with the migraine so I will forgive myself and not be embarrassed too much 😂
By seeding everything :
Mb, forgot to seed non starred crop
Also change your last harvest day to 15 and you’ll see it go up even more
Edit: choose day 12, I confused myself
Day 15 give the most gold, good catch !
Swapping the corn/rice/corn to rice/corn/rice, with 15 days cycle :
yes, as soon as the last product tray is in use, it stops.
30/30/4 is at least somewhat reasonable, but 30/4/1 is really annoying.
yea Ive seen that like once or twice
Does any one have layout with apple, blue berries which is harvest boost water boost and weed prevented
need more blue berries atleast two trees of apple
The onion in the right bottom soil is bugged, there is supposed to be a tomato

it is so painful to think of a layout
Im planning to buy 1 blueberry seed and wait for relationship for apple tree seed,
and make a all crop layout
You can ask for apple once you have some blueberry I think
sorry, but what do you mean by ask for apple
my highest relationship now is level2 haha
why does the hopper not run even though there is space for starred potato seeds?
Switch the 30 and the 4
put the stack of four on the left most side
Should fix it I would think
dang, seems unintuitive, if there is any free spot on the hopper it should still run in my opinion
also i went to sleep and left my hoppers running so i didn't manually keep track of them
Ask other people, with the items request feature
oooo
is that how it works
Im gonna buy the blueberry now then
I just planted my plot so I guess Ill wait for next replant
thank you sir
but sadly I cant get it today cause I requested something like 2 days ago and I didnt claim it
Thank you so much! I had seen someone recommend this layout. Is there a difference between the two? Besides the crops?
No worries :)) thank you for helping!
you aren't technically making starred seeds. there isn't an option for that. what you're doing is making regular seeds but they come out starred because of starred crop. so the game needs a space to put the seed (without star) even tho it doesn't actually make them
is there a purpose for having multiple crops with the same benefit (ex. carrots and bok choy for weed prevention) or can you just pick one crop of each benefit
Hiii, does someone know how to get fruit seeds??
having the same type of buff from tow different crops, such as having carrots and bok choy next to each other, will give both crops weed prevention since carrots are giving the buff to the bok choy and vise versa. if you have the same crop, all bok choy for example, next to each other, they will not give the buff
you can get blueberries seeds either from buying them from the guild store with badruu which is level 10 gardening, getting a seed from zeki's machine, or through level 3 friendship quest with badruu. apple trees can be gotten from guild store with badruu (240 coins), zeki's machine luck, or reaching level 3 friendship with either nai'o or zeki
ty sm!! I was going crazy
Ohhh okay! Thank you that’s super helpful
Anyone have a layout for maximum number of apples (I have star seeds so I don't need to boost the quality, just the quantity)
do you want any buffs? or use of fertilizers?
Maximum quantity, no fertilizers
i mean, this is what has been called "apple cider" 6 apple trees with harvest boost from rice/corn
Almost the same as what I was already doing. Great minds think alike I guess.
eh, it's not my normal layout, i've just seen it being used to get a lot of apple trees
I went with more corn so I can use it to make Meaty Stir Fry
But I wanted one with more apple output once I am doing getting my cooking passed 100
what i use to do before i went for aesthetics
100% water and weed using harvest boost on the trees only, since i only harvest the apples
Here is hoping we can stick our plots in the courtyard addition
This option includes water retain and harvest boost crops. It is just a bit harder to get weeds in the right places. See video above ^^
Best Apple: https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-R.WA.SA.SR.WA.SA.SWA.SA.S-A.ST.HA.SA.SP.HA.SA.STA.S-A.SA.SR.WA.SA.SR.WA.SA.SW-TA.SA.SP.HA.SA.STA.SA.S-A.SWA.SA.SR.WA.SA.SWA.S-A.SA.STA.SA.SP.HA.SA.ST-WA.SA.SR.WA.SA.SR.WA.SA.S-A.STA.SA.SP.HA.SA.ST.HA.S-A.SA.SWA.SA.SR.WA.SA.SR.W
However, this is my current favorite layout: Cotton is a placeholder for your preferred 1x1 crop (just be sure it is not a weedblocker until the adjacent locations have weeds). Napa Cabbage and Rice are targets for where weeds should land. The 8 marked with weedblock fertilizer are my preference, to compromising ease of collecting with maximum crop harvest. The final 9th weed can land on any of the outer Napa Cabbage and you can switch in any water retaining crops.
Be sure you put your least favorite harvest boosting crop in the location that gets the weed. That way you have the option of growing your preferred Harvest boosting crop in the 'free' cotton location. For example if you prefer collecting rice over wheat, make the wheat receive the weed, and plant rice where the cotton and corn are (below):

How can I move my garden to another plot? I try to get the piece of garden (obviously without plants) but I get a warning that I can't get it because it's been plowed... How do I get the plow out of the garden?
wait for the soil to return to untilled. so plant stuff until the square "disappears". all 9 need to be gone to be able to pick the plot up
Do I just have to wait or should I try to plant something and hope it goes unplowed after I harvest it?
plant something, probably something fast like bok choy that only takes 3 hours to be ready
Ok, thanks
I don't know the exact circumstances for it to return untilled, but it seems to be linked to having crops on them for a certain number of hours
i'll have to look, i thought i read somewhere that it takes two irl days to become untilled? don't quote me on that yet though
found it. Soil will revert to untilled state after 48h. If crop is growing on this tile, it will happen when harvesting that crop.
Thanks 😃👍🏼
finally was able to make a 100% water retain and weed proof blueberry layout. not the most efficient but i hope this is helpful to anyone else who doesnt like watering everyday or pulling weeds
Does anyone have a good layoyt idea for 6x3 garden?
What do u mean with 6x3? You can only get 9 soil plots
they likely mean 1x2 plots
Can you only put one type of fertiliser on a plant at a time
I meant 6x9, sorry for typo. But yes you can have a 6x3 layout
can someone send every crop and best quality etc 100% watering layout etc etc :DD
with apple and blueberry?
yeaa
should be one near the bottom with 100% watering and weedblock
thanks! ❤️
Hi all. If i plant crops and play the game but im away from my ingame home do the crops still grow or do i have to go back home every hr?
Crops will only grow one tick/cycle while offline
I think he meant when he’s online but outside, say, hunting or mining, but doesn’t return home hourly
Oh, yeah as long as you are online and.. you have it set up with water retain and weed control. Otherwise you need to go back to water and weed or those that need watering or weeding won't grow.
Btw, is if I want to fast level gardening, is tomato the fastest ?
nvm, i did some calculation based on the wiki.gg xp values, they seems to give the same amount of xp per tick in average
i cannot for the life of me figure out an optimal garden setup no matter how hard i try. every setup has serious tradeoffs
to me, the optimal garden setup is whatever you are capable of maintaining. if you are not online often longer growing crops (like apples that take 12 hours before first harvest) are ultimately useless if you are only able to for a few hours a day or unable to log in every hour to get the garden to grow. it also needs to take into account how many crafters you have available to process all of the crops you get
higher chance until around level 25 when you will only get star crops from star seeds
oh say less
the math is 50% start and then 2% per garden level
oh bet
what are you trying to achieve? just gold? cooking crops? levels? passive gardening?
a mix of all of them really
well what do you cook? add enough so that you consistently get what you need and then fill the rest (if there is room) with a similar time to harvest crop and turn that into gold
hmm. so the bug where one of my apple trees was showing as watered but didn't let me water it happened twice in the past few ticks. and I was wrong, it's showing as watered because it is watered, it never advanced a stage. last hour was apple harvest, 1 tree was behind so that 1 tree was left, nothing else (waiting to plant equally). this hour I check and it never advanced a stage. it stayed watered from last hour but never gained a tick. that's 3 or 4 times just this one area and I've had it happen on another tree once. buggy ah game
wow. it did it again. showed as watered but didn't advance. went to water it anyway (no water bar) and it immediately made the watered animation and sound, even tho the soil was wet
see I'm running up to it, it's watered, no water fill bar, water it and get the animation?
Anyone else a little disappointed in the gardeners cornucopia? It is small and lacks lustre to be honest.
I didn’t get it. However I really like the Gardener’s grow house. I have it in my kitchen and like to imagine it’s where all my spices are growing
Yes the Garedener's Growhouse is amazing, I was going to save for another but decided on the cornucopia instead. It is very small and well I will just save for another growhouse 🙂
what do yall like doing with your crops? is it better to pickle/jam or make star seeds
or does it just vary per crop
check pinned
i dont see anything about the pickling/jamming in there (edit* im blind)
it's under best process
thank you^^
hi, can i confirm that lv50 in gardening will guarantee 100% quality chance
while lv25 with quality seed will guaratnee 100% harvest quality?
furthermore, do quality crops give quality seeds in seedmaker?
yes, level 25 will give you 100% star quality crops from star seeds, while level 50 will give you star crops from regular seeds as well
thanks
whats like the best way to go about selling crops/turning them into seeds? should i figure out what food recipe i like to cook the most and only make that so i can just sell/make everything else into seeds? or should i be saving some of them and not sell everything?
Refer to pinned message for best process for gold-making
what is so special in getting the animation? You get the watering animation everywhere, regardless of if there is something to water or not. All it takes is having nothing active on your action bar, having the watering can in your hand to activate it everywhere.
need inspo for gardening areas 🙆🏻♀️ my crafters keep getting in the way but i don’t know where to put them
I put most of them along the fences.
like this
Ok so I read somewhere that we're able to destroy crops if we need to replant, however I'm not able to for whatever reason. Is this still a thing?
It is the "X" button on the switch and right click on PC, with the hoe
But you wont get the seed back
i wish i knew this about 15 minutes ago when i messed up where a seed went and then didn’t have enough room for an apple tree 😭
You could still fix it, unless you already planted all your crops
i’ll hop on now to fix it lol
Thank you! Saved my sorry butt from trying to hoe over the top of the crops hoping it'd start working 🤣🤣
Youre welcome. The game doesnt tell it and you normally just have to find out
My Garden
i unfortunately have no clue what any of the stuff in that picture means 😭
Hi, I have a question to ask. I’m new to farming and I am using a layout from Palia Garden farmer. What I have harvested is significantly different from the approximation provided in the planner. Is this normal? (Ignore tomato and cabbage as they are still harvesting)
where to get different flowers?
from bugs 🙂 hunt them
Is that after 10 days, and you replanted crops on the same day they were harvested?
do crops only grow if you're logged in for 6am in game time??
every 6 am u get to water iirc, so prob
if youre not in game it only grows once i think, so youd have to be afk in game for it to keep growing
i just got deja vu from this, sheesh
Im still a newish player, where can i grow apple trees from
lvl10 garderning, or some quests gives you a few apple seeds
i think you can request some seeds as well, not sure
From who?
press the player tab, there should be request option, people in the server can donate you if they had any
or u can donate people instead
I will try
you have to have had apples previously to request them
i see
Does anyone have a good layout focused on weed prevention and harvest boost? I don't mind watering
look everyone my FT ever finally got it
there’s a max on flowers! i tried to put down one and was told “maximum flowers reached”🫨
500 I think is the limit?
Well how do you plant flow trees?
Can friends can plant in your garden?
Complete the Temple of the Roots, then the Vault of the Roots bundles in the Night Sky Temple, you’ll get ||a Galdur statue that has 25% chance of dropping a flow tree seed every IRL day||
No
they can clear weeds and water your crops tho
ok so if i go offline my crop will not process any further except the one day?
I dont think you have enough arrows
Nah they need more fr
yeah those sernuk won't hunt themselves
I'm so close, but yet so far
I completed vault of the Flames yesterday, but I still need 1 item for the Waves, 1 item for Gales and 3 for the Roots. Those are not hard to get, but it just takes time to mine palium and cold and I need apples wich I don't have yet
You can request apples from friends... I usually offer them whenever someone asks
Is there anyway to remove a plant in my garden? i put it down in the wrong spot :(
uh Right clicking with the hoe I believe, It should dig up the plant
Note that you lose the seed tho!
yes, but u lose the crop
No you can't
you can if you've gotten an apple before
That is why I can't
I didn't know that... Well, soon you get your seed and then you can ask so you don't have to wait to get the 100 apples 😃
Does anyone have a spare apple seed or 2 they can part with?
If you unlock the honey lure recipe from Auni, then you can request apples
Hope this helps
apples are slow to get a lot of when first starting out. 1 seed into 24 apples, into 2 seeds then 48 (52) apples, and then just make sure you keep a few seeds on hand for future use
so i dont really understand this one, is apple most profit? i right now have one three, it takes 10 apples to make one seed, and it takes 30 days to grow, that does not sound like its so much profit, what should i really plant to make most money?
there are too many factors involved for a "best crop for most gold". try to maximize your output (use harvest boost) and find a crop that works for your daily playtime. adjust preservers, seeders, and wormers (shh, its totally a word) so that whatever you are using for gold is always running
Look at the per slot column. The best ones to plant for most money are bok choy, and a combination of rice/wheat for the harvest boost. This combination is best for if you don’t play 24/7
does anyone know if the flow tree seeds are specifcally called "flow tree seed" or do you have to plant a tree and it randomly turns into a flow tree?
they are like flow acorn and flow pinecone. you gotta get lucky and get those
There is a trick you can do to get a flow tree seed though
I thought the only way to get Flow seeds was from the Galdur statue
yeah, still gotta get lucky
please do share the trick 👀
Share with us
I direct messaged you a couple of days ago the trick
just gonna gently set down my doc again ahahah
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GyPgetnBlxypFaYzvGSyhGPntXnpMxsm_q8zvXYHEqg/edit#heading=h.4rn3fsx0rkaz
I also would like to know how to get flow tree seeds!
And you know that they come from|| the Gardener state from completing the Roots bundles?||
Nope, I didn’t know that. Thanks, going to complete this bundle.
Youre welcome
The trick they were asking for is because the item gives you one seed a day and it can either be a flow seed or a normal seed. The trick lets you get the seed you want and not the normal tree seed
can someone run me thru Apple seeds vs Jars? Lots say that its better to sell as preserves. I did abit of calculation but seeds would make more? Unless i calculated wrong / understanding wrongly 🙏
I calculated it too. Keep in mind that 10 apples make one seed and one apple makes one jam
Yes and a quality tree seed is worth 1,050 and a quality jam is is 144
With quality apples being worth 96 gold. So the seed being 1,050 is 105 per apple, while the jam is 144 per apple
Youre welcome
I was checking the same thing a couple days ago because I just started making seeds with certain things for better profit
i didn't think about per apple. So that really helps
It is important to think about each individual item because the jammers make one using one, but some seeds make one using more than one
Tomatoes are similar but also different because it takes 2 tomatoes to make 3 seeds, which can be confusing to calculate in your head
this is where I did my calcs. image is gold per minute. can read my messages around it for other details
disregarding the whole
time to process ratio
it takes 2 toms for 3 seeds? I may need to update my info, not sure I did tomato correctly

^
I think I did 1:1 but I really can't remember and am not in game to run numbers
but ye 3 tomato 2 seeds
still tho, most important factors are growing what you need first, growing for gold secondly. there isn't an absurd difference in the crops to max gold, so just keep moving from 1 station to the next to get most gold.
crop -> jam/food -> worms -> fish
more crafters = more gold. just keep them running. not making money if they sit empty
I only recently started using a bunch of glow worm farms and seed makers to sell for money and the big problem I have run into is not having enough shipping bin storage
the way things stack is weird. like why 30 in inventory or trash but 999 in storage. just let me go to 999 in trash! worse is when things don't stack at all in your bag but do in storage
Tell me something guys, what do you do with so much gold? Because a well-established farm yields around 2000 gold per hour... In the meantime, whether fishing, hunting or mining, it already yields another 2000 gold... There's nowhere to spend that much gold and the limit is just 300 thousand. How can you spend all that gold?
well, after you get all of your rooms for the house that you want, there's trish's furniture (sometimes just easier to buy than to craft, especially things that take flow wood or palium), the only other big thing for me is gambling on zeki's machine
At the very beginning of the game, when we had almost nothing, I watched a video on YouTube where a player bought 400 Zeki's coins spending 4 million... I thought it was so absurd and now I'm thinking about starting to buy Zeki's coins 😅
use however many you need to process the crops that you have. i have 4 seeders and 6 preserve jars, and i only harvest the 4 apple trees that i have... i have over 300 apples in storage that are not being processed which if you look at it from a money making scheme, is horrible. but, i also am more interested in aesthetics and extra storage thanks to the other crafters, and i get money in other ways
Do you guys have any recs/examples of a plot for all the crops except for apple and blueberries? 100% water and weed
Just something for good money before you get to higher level gardening
bak choi + wheat/rice is best for money
for an all corp layout I used one before let me find it
oh wait you need pepper too?
With or without pepper is fine!
I must say I only used this once, because it is too much effort for me to keep it working but here. I changed it up a bit from another guide
I believe there's only 4 slots without weed prevention
this is the original guide https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qzXu8m4XmnibPfkUUMfyMa5mZgu8XjNPGLtJIssa46Q/edit#gid=1461571803
Ty!!
Me reading your comment: "Oh? The gold cap is 300k? I didn't know that, how much do I have atm?"
checks
👀
Gonna go make Zeki a very happy Grimalkin XD
yes finally I have collected them all! got the flow juniper seed. now to make 100s of them
Congrats 😃👏🏼👏🏼
There will be a courtyard for us to spend a little more at least 😅😅
can i copy this early on? my gardening still level 1
I mean it is fine but the seed cost is quite high.
something like this
I used this basically til level 10 and it generates decent money
thank you ill use it too
i am using this one i copied it from you
the problem with this one tho it has low weed prevention
having weed to your crops is bad?
not really
and you might want it at first, for the achievement
if it dont have weed prevention, it have a chance to grow weed and it will stop the growth if you dont clear it
I forgot about the update and just spent all of my money on wall paper
so i just need to remove it ASAP thank again
i wish we can get more gardening plots, i want my whole house to be filled w apples and blueberries
Yessss those giant dirt mounds from home planted trees are going away! 😄
I havent read this in the patch notes did I miss something?
You must've cause I'm reading them right now and it's one of the adjustments they're bringing
ty for letting me know! those things are sooo annoying lol glad theyre goin
Agreed! I was not happy with the wide area they gave where I couldn't plant flowers or place objects >_<
Does anyone know if the type of flower that drops is specfic to the bug? Or is it random?
If it's anything like the kilima flower drops then each seed will be tied to a specific bug, but seeing as the patch hasn't even released yet (right this moment anyway) we don't know which ones will drop what until later today
I've got a list ready to fill out and am going bug hunting as soon as I can log in though XD
Thanks! I was wondering why I haven't found any hydrangeas and found just now on the Reddits that they only drop from Duskwing Butterflies.
That makes more sense now. i haven't gotten any hydrangeas yet either
I've only found 1 duskwing so far
I feel like I haven't seen one since Christmas :3
Well thankfully the seeds are additive, so as long as you plant it and water it, eventually it will give you a seed (just once), but then you can plant/water that seed until it gives you a seed, etc. So you don't have to hunt down 30 of a rare bug if you're trying to get a lot of a specific flower. As long as you've gotten one seed and have patience you technically have an infinite number of flowers :3
Exactly.
I've had alot of trouble trying to find rare bugs like the duskwing
They really should change the rating on the Duskwing from "uncommon" to at least "Rare". It literally only spawns in ONE location in the entire game and has an abysmal spawn rate.
I found this set up online when looking for ways to up return faster. It's tedious but so far it's working. Whenever I harvest something, I'm immediately replacing it, and I only grab one crop at a time to make it easier to replace. Any thoughts on this layout?
I haven't experienced gardening with the fruits yet but I think that layout is good. Looks like it would be fairly easy to maintain
I use this layout ( I also always use only star quality seeds)
Okay so this is the layout I use for 100% water retain and 100% weed prevention with growth boost on apples and blueberries, Right now I'm trying to figure out how to have harvest boost in place of growth boost on my apples without sacrificing weed prevention or water retain, any help would be greatly appreciated (also I would like to keep every crop in the game if at all possible) https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-PCOTOCrOBkP-TPTRCRCbBkCb-OCPCrOTPBkO-BkBBCbBBPSpSp-AAAAAAAAA-BBBkBBCbSpSpP-OSpSpCTWCoCbC-BkTBkCPCOTO-SpSpOWTCCCbCo
But did they fix the issue with every tree on every plot counting towards the cap on every plot? I am actually way overcapped and if I remove 50 items, I sitll can't place anything.
I didn't read anything about the trees in relation to the placement caps, but I would try testing it once you get a chance to log in as they do have the disclaimer of "please note this is not a comprehensive list of all fixed issues", so it's possible they adjusted that issue but just didn't list it in the patch notes.
I planned on it. I have to redo all my flowers now that we got 10 more and not the 3 missing ones. This would be so much easier if they raised the flower cap.
But I can not do that on my main plot since it has the "Housing Plot is Full" message because of a plot I have with nothing but trees.
About the trees... them taking up space on OTHER plots, is this a bug or not? I was under the impression it was a bug.
It is a bug
I had to file a report and copy a bunch of my game files and send it to them. All 500 trees I had on the Tree Farm Plot teleported into another of my plots.
And this resulted in my being capped on my main plot. No matter how many items I remove.
anyone know the best crop roi?
Yea, I got that too. So I bought a new plot too so I could at least change some things when needed.
Now that I know we can have up to 3,000 trees, my Tree Farm plot will cap all my other plots no matter how empty. LMAO. I hope this fix this soon because I can not redecorate anymore. I can not even change my wallpaper on my main plot.
Yep exactly the same problem, lol.
I got one plot for my horror-house, which is full of Pines, and I got a tree growing yard.
Imagine, 3,000 flow trees at my beck and call... drools...
It should only take a year or three.
How do tree farms work? Do the trees you plant on your plot grow back like crops and have the chance of spawning as flow trees?
I’ve always been to scared to chop trees I planted
Trees grow from seeds, you get seeds randomly from medium and large trees you chop, there are 4 varieties, when the planted trees mature (biggest size) they now drop a seed for the exact same variety.
Flow trees are separate, the seeds are a random drop from a temple bundle reward once per irl day, and otherwise work the same as regular trees
Trees needing to be watered, growing in stages, and dropping seeds without chopping them is new as of patch 0.178 in March 2024
Ohhh okay, that makes sense!! Thank you for taking the time to explain it for me! 😊
happy to help!
What’s the best layout prioritizing star blueberries and apples? While still keeping at least 100% water (ideally 100% weed as well)
i really wish we seeds and harvested crops were in different storage tabs
even storage search and sort options would be lovely
Is there a list of the new flowers and what bugs they come from? Spent a few hours in Bahari, and only received seeds for datura, Veronica, and forsythia - the last one is the same as the one in Kalima.
I am trying to make a fully afk blueberry and apple farm for cake parties but am stuck on how to achieve that. Does anyone have any examples of layouts? It doesn't have to have all crops I would just like a lot of fruit output without having to water and weed.
here ya go
How do you know whether a given input will give you SpeedyGro or HarvestBoost fertilizer? I need some SpeedyGro for a quest.
On the wiki under "Fertilizer" it tells you what will create which fertilizer. I only do HarvestBoost which is Bok Coy in the glow worm farm and Sweet Leaf in the regular worm farm
If you check the wiki it'll tell you all the things that can be put into the worm bins and what/how much you get out of them
https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Fertilizer am I crazy and missing it or am I using the wrong site?
here, I think you're looking for something like this https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tr5KdvomPxOsA93HC9S7vDdP_bnffWifpwwQPCectdg/edit?pli=1#gid=0
Was searching for this, TYSM 🥰🥰🥰. Do you know if they fixed the missing flowers from Kilima?
can someone help with the juniper flow seed request please
Here are a few layouts fully AFK:
(You can change peppers to blueberries)
100% lazy layout (2harvested apples +1bush)
100% lazy layout (3 harvest apples+ 1bush)
100% lazy layout (2 harvest apples + 3 bushes)
100 lazy layout (2applea+2 bushes, all crops)
3x3
However if u are ready to sacrifice a little weed prevention (apples and blueberrries wont have weed, only the nearby plants) Then I also have these, which might have more apples and bloobs harvest
very nice design ❤️
Omg once again I love you for these layouts you're my hero
Does anyone have a good layout for 9x6 and without apples and blueberries?
My super duper basic setup
is planting spicy peppers the only way i can get them? or can i buy them somewhere
The palia wiki says they can only be harvested
thank you tho!
Here’s mine! I buy 1K of weed prevention fertilizer, and it lasts about 6 in game days. I only preserve the apples and blueberries. Since those take forever, everything else turns into seeds for quicker monies :)
4 apple trees and my graphics card could be used as a BBQ grill. Other than that, this looks like good money
LOL it’s pretty afk too since I go in game days without watering or pulling weeds. And if I decide to skip playing palia for a day, my jams will all be done by the time I get back
i tried the thing where you let weeds grow on any other crop other than the apple trees, but i think there's a bug. even though there are no weeds on the apple trees and they're watered, the tree gets 'stuck' and it doesn't grow
is anyone else experiencing this? i tried it before and it worked but recently it hasn't worked
Hello, I have a question, do we know more or less the math or RNG or whatever how the "growth boost" of blueberries work? Because I have blueberries and apples and I didn't replant the blueberries. But both the crops without Growth Boost and WITH Growth Boost are ready to pick up at the same time? But other crops, like the carrots do get affected, So what's the difference?
I feel like there’s a bug with fertilisers not working on apple trees or something, my harvest boosts never work on them either :((
It's just weird cause I realized I picked all my tomatoes evenly through the whole day yesterday even without the blueberries, so either the boost is not as significant as I thought and I'm wasting my time trying to get blueberries to boost my apples and should just plant apples with other basic boosts, or its somewhat bugged?
Anyone have a good way of getting xp up? I’m soooo close to lvl 10
tomatoes potatoes tomatoes potatoes
rice grows in 4 days / 4 hrs so its technically the shortest plant though
Increase focus bonus at Phoenix Shrine. But I warn you that you will spend your XP faster, so be prepared to have more food in your luggage
Thank you!! I keep forgetting to do the phoenix shrine 😅
can you get flow seeds from flow trees that were grown on-plot?
Yes, each flow tree drops a seed once you’re done watering them
thanks!
Love this!! Do you then turn the crops into jam or sell as they are?
Thanks!
I turn the apples and blueberries into jams. Those take a while to make, so I turn the corn, potatoes and cabbages into seeds. I have around 6 preserve jars and 6 seeders. :)
Instead of worrying about weeds, I suggest you plant wheat, rice, and/or corn. They give you a harvest bonus so instead of 16 apples, you get 24. I alternate water and harvest boost around apples and blueberries. I make everything into jam except for wheat and rice which I sell. I really don't spend a lot of time weeding.
According to my testing, all crops give the same amount of xp per Palia day so it doesn’t matter what you plant. At least until they fix the speedy grow, I haven’t tested that yet
I have some quick questions about fertilizer if someone wouldn't mind chiming in:
- Can you fertilize your plants every day? Is it a graphical glitch if you see fertilizer on your plants after watering cycles?
- Does the presence of weeds affect fertilizer?
- Has other people encountered issues with fertilizing plants where the plant will allow / take multiple applications of fertilizer?
first of, plants use a fertilizer unit per tile every day, if and only if they don't get the boost already by companion planting (i.e. from other plants adjacent in N,E,S,W direction). Weeds will stop the growth of plants, so it has to be avoided, if you don't intentionally let that weed stay (f.e. on a weed patch). You can stack the same fertilizer up to 99 times.
Thank you for the information! Did not realize that if they are getting a companion boost that the fertilizer isn't doing anything (there goes my wheat + quanity up fertilizer idea). I've seen weeds stop growth just wasn't sure if fertilizer is consumed if the weed appears. Nice to know about the stacking mechanic.
yeah, boosts are binary, they don't stack. A boost is either present or not, you can't have it twice.
In the early gardening stages you can of course combine companion planting with quality upgrade fertilizer to increase the value of your crop. Quality upgrade fertilizer is more or less an early game fertilizer, because later on (lvl 25+ with star seeds or lvl 50+) it is useless, because everything comes out star quality.
There are achievements for using fertilizer, which can help to get the gardening medals quicker as soon as you have gardening level 10+, this helps to get access to apple seeds (if you don't acquire them some other way).
what should I do with potatoes, tomatoes, and onions? should I preserve them, seed or sell as is?
The pinned messages here in this channel has some great info if you would like to take a look
oh tysm! I was searching and not phrasing it well for results XD Appreciate you! /gen
Question: Can you "untill" a square on the garden plots? I know you can pull a plant using right-click, but I can't pick up the plots until all the squares are gone.
I keep getting "Unable to gather. Garden must be empty and untilled!" but I can't "untill" it with the hoe. It has to "naturally untill" unless I'm missing something.
i don’t think there is a way to do that atm, just wait until they go away on their own in a few days i guess
if a tree has given me a seed/sappling can i go ahead and chop it down when i am needing the wood?
Potatoes (and bok choy too) give more profit when turned into seeds, but everything else gives more profit when preserved :D
On your plot you mean? :o
yes, once you get a seed it won't give you anything else, it's just for looks after that
So you can chop it
you can basically run one housing plot as a forestry, with selective wood chopping and replanting. Maybe in a pattern where you "harvest" every other tree whilst those in between are growing or any other pattern you might come up with.
only downside to this currently, after trees have grown a stage, they might appear in a different housing plot, that is a known bug. So it might be smart, to wait for a while, because lots of trees would mean lots of such occurances, which could be pretty unpleasant having to deal with.
On the other side, why do it at all? it takes like 20 minutes to cut about 1200 wood units in the wild.
Yes! they did!
speed boost of blueberries and apple trees isn't working since a while and it is still not fixed yet.
weird cause at some point the crops that had apples but not blueberries were ready to pick up earlier, as seen by the carrots in that picture (taken this morning btw). Before when I had both they'd be ready to pick up at the same time. My point was that it took quite probably 3-4 harvests for it to act like it didnt have a boost, so was questioning how effective it really is. Don't think "its just bugged" blanket statement is entirely accurate? But wihout knowing how it actually works, what do I know
it should work like this - for every 2 days of growth another day is added, so a crop which normally takes 3 days should grow in 2, a 4 days crop in 3, a 6 days crop in 4, and 9 days crop in 6 and an apple tree in 8 instead of 12 days, with a total cycle time of 20 days instead of 30.
And it did at some point in time, but since quite a while it does no longer
It is definitely bugged, my character is level 50+ in gardening, there is nothing what would hinder effectiveness of any features anymore.
this is as well not a minor issue, when the top tier crops have a non-functional boost, and a 33% decrease in growth time, means 50% more outcome in comparison to non-growth boosted crop. I really cannot understand, why they haven't fixed it yet.
hm
I have 3 spots in my garden to monitor this, 1 rice without growth boost, 1 rice "boosted" by a blueberry bush, and 1 rice "boosted" by an apple tree. All 3 of them grow at exactly the same speed.
4 blueberry bushes "boost" 5 apple trees, and those 5 trees in return those blueberry bushes, and none of them gets a growth boost.
examining them shows the growth boost, so the flag is actually there, but no effect.
the frustrating part is, that top tier crops have no boost basically, and that a garden being run at an income of 70k/rl day could potentially achieve 3 figures, if the boost would actually work, but doesn't.
is there anyone that can help with a flow juniper seed request
not likely. flow seeds aren't easy to get
gimme the best layout for farming
there is no such thing as an objectively best farming layout, it depends on many individual factors.
huh
Another point is, if you need to ask, you couldn't even use a really good one, because you lack the skills.
have a look at the pinned messages, there are a bunch of ideas
I just have apples and blueberries and a few other where they didn't fit
if you are playing a lot, you can go for apples and blueberries, but if your play time is very limited, it might be better to plant something else, because it takes really long to grow apple trees (and because the boost of blueberries and apple trees is currently not working at all).
it take 12 hrs to grow an apple tree and you can harvest it after the first harvest after 6hrs each harvest, so the full cycle is 30hrs of play time - so if you play for like 30hrs/week, it takes a whole week, and if you play just 15hrs/week it takes even a fortnite. Apple trees grow really slowly.
Speaking of apple trees, I just planted my first. Trying to get one last seed, this whole design is every crop for cooking purposes. But uhh...this one may be having issues. (Already reloaded)
go over it with your watering can and just tap the can, it will readjust.
:0c Magic! (ty)
I don't actually know how many servers there are (or how to swap, except randomly when leaving the housing plot), but does anybody have a spare (non-starred) apple seed they'd be willing to part with?
how many seed collectors do you have
can someone explain to me why some ppl i see advocate for berries and apple when they aint the most profit/day? is it the boost they give?
it would be the boost, if it would be working, what it currently doesn't. But an apple/berries garden is still very profitable, if you have the infrastructure in place to actually process the outcome of a high yield garden. Mine gets me about 70k/24hrs, but it could be more than 100k, if the boost would actually work.
but I run 28-30 crafters dedicated to process the produce of my garden.
24hrs play time that is or 24 ticks of advancing the garden, not an rl day.
would that mean , as of now, when growth boost not working, planting corn/tomato/cotton still not the worst?
I have rice, wheat and corn in between for the harvest boost of course and everything comes out star quality as well. This is key to high yield and high profit.
if you don't get all star quality yet, maybe use spicy peppers and cotton for the quality boost instead of berries.
https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-CoWCrTCbTCrCoW-CoWCrTCbTCrCoW-CoWCrTCbTCrCoW-CoWCrTCbTCrCoW-CoWCrTCbTCrCoW-CoWCrTCbTCrCoW-CoWCrTCbTCrCoW-CoWCrTCbTCrCoW-CoWCrTCbTCrCoW
is this alright? considering i do use quality seeds and tend the farm every tick
I could have sworn that at least the boost for Blueberries worked since two tomato plants I put on the same day gave fruit at different times. But now I'm doubting if that was the case, that sucks
looks like an ok garden to me @fading vale
and it provides decent ongoing income as well, you don't have to wait for long.
If you don't mind tending to it, you also have https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-111-111-111_CROPS-BkCrRBkBkBkCrBkBk-BkBkBkBkCrRBkBkBk-BkCrRBkBkBkBkBkBk-RBkCrBkBkBkCrRBk-RBkBkBkBkBkBkCrR-CrRCrBkBkBkBkBkBk-BkBkBkRBkCrCrBkBk-BkBkBkRBkBkBkBkCr-BkCrRBkBkCrRBkBk (I had a ton of quality up fertilizer as well, and now that I'm lvl 25 gardening everything is starred")
bok choy farm o.o
And if I needed some potatoes for pickling for my worm farm, then I'd change the bok for that for one rotation and I'd be set for a long time too
you have to take into account that seeding of bok choy takes long and you can just process 20 per day and seeder, which gives a max income with 30 seeders of 52.8k from processed bok choy per rl day.
so bok choy isn't it, despite having the best individual value.
That is true, but I don't know how many people have as advance as a process as you have hahaha
then it is even worse for them to run such a garden.
it is already not good with 30 seeders, with less it is even less good.
@fading valebtw your garden has processed over 360 days a comparable income of 1.4 million, which is a really good value for a garden of that type
how did u even calculate whut
using the garden planner, you can select the post harvest process for every crop type there and chose other parameters.
learnt something new today
I tend to compare on basis of 360 days, because it evens out the many different harvest cycles a bit better. A lazy garden is normally 1 million or less, a managed high yield garden something in between 1.5 and 2 million, so it is really easy to compare, even it isn't said, that all can be processed. I just use it as a measurement for how good the garden is in principle.
A garden with 100% water retain at 1.4 million is a really good value for your type of garden.
then again... if im checking every tick, i prob can make do without water retention ...
that was my conclusion as well and why I have neither water retain nor weed prevention.
the constant replanting due to growth stage difference kinda make water retention a little redundant
indeed
i also can throw cotton away now that im lv25 gardening...
HMMM... guess time to rack my brain
that is why I always suggest to run spicy peppers and cotton early on in gardening, because later on you are not likely wanting to plant peppers and cotton ever again.
this is the garden i have set up for endgame, my dad made it cuz he plays too and loves spreadsheets/planning stuff out
not quite 1.5 million in 360 days, not bad, but why have a lazy layout, with a high maintenance fertilizer setup combined, that looks like incredibly annoying work, every time you have to reapply fertilizers and pay attention to not apply the wrong fertilizer in that spot.
Hey @wary finch can you link/dm me your highest gold per day farm you’ve made/found. And true gold per day, not my typical gold per soil plot. Also which crops you find to be the highest gold per day, maybe you’ve got a list somewhere.
not claiming it to be the best, it is just what I'm using with about 16-18 ticks per rl day and an income between 60 and 70k per rl day, using 28-30 crafter slots for processing of the produce, flexibly juggled, like currently I run 4 seeders, 24 jars and 2 glow worm farms. Where bok choy is in the layout, I use other crop as well, like potatoes and cabbage instead of bok choy. https://palia-garden-planner.vercel.app/?layout=v0.2_DIM-11111-11111_CROPS-RBkWWBBBkBB-AAAAAAAAA-BkAARAAWAA-ARWABBABB-NNNNNNNNN-BkAARAAWAA-ABBABBARW-AAAAAAAAA-BBABBARWA-AARAAWAABk
I'm not counting the glow worms as income though, because I just hoard them for now (with a lot of space in the new ammo pouch, I can have thousands of them without to actually choke my inventory)
im not using any of the fertilizer aside from harvest boost
the shape of the garden is just because I like it that way, it has no advantage.
an example for juggling - if I sleep for a bit too long and my jars get nearly empty and the next apples are still not there, I replace 10 jars with glow worm farms, rearrange the produce in the remaining jars to run longer there, and run those 10 glow worm farms with pickled corn, pickled potatoes or nappa cabbage kimchi, to make use of those as well. And once apples are live again, I run it full power with jars again.
if you use the planner and calculate it you get to 3.921/day, if all can be processed to either seeds or jam, which I can manage easily. this is the value without speed boost (because it is currently not working). So how many ticks does it take to get to 70k per rl day? 70/3.921 = 17.85 - so my income is about 60 and 70k per rl day. This is how you can check, if I was honest.
Whhhhy doesn't watering all these flowers count as gardening? lol
@stable ginkgoa garden should fit what you can manage in your available play time. Like when you have just 3hrs/day for gaming, a bok choy garden is not the worst of ideas, with for example 60 bok choy plants from star seeds and harvest boosted (and quality boosted if below level 25). After 3 hrs you harvest 180 bok choy, put them in 9 seeders (and replant those 60 from seeds made before). Then you can go offline and the other day, those will be processed into seeds, you have now 720 seeds, 60 are for replants, leaving 660 a 22g = 14,520g, which is really good, given having just 3 hrs of play time available per rl day.
Well, this is not quite correct, because you will have to login at least once in the middle somewhere, or your seeders will stop working, because they won't get to 80, but at most to 30/30/4 = 64, if they don't stop earlier, so it might take a few more seeders to go around this issue or login in between to empty the product trays of your seeders.
because just harvesting provides xp, watering doesn't provide xp.
Does this happen to anyone else? My machines stop overnight because it says they're full, but one of the "full" stacks only has 2 items in it?
this is what I was talking about, once the last tray is filled, it stops working. There can be an extra seed of different quality as well, so the worst case is it stopping at 30/2/1
32 same quality as the produce and 1 extra seed of different quality
in the best case it runs for 16 hrs and stops then, in the worst case it runs for just 8hrs. Well it isn't actually hrs, but processing cycles. In case of bok choy it's 19.2hrs and 9.6hrs.
best case is 30/30/4, worst case 30/2/1
Ya, I was hoping to make a bunch of money while I slept 😭 I'll look and see if this is on the bug list
it is kind of annoying like this because it stops the moment something gets into the 3rd tray.
I submitted a ticket for this and they said they’ll look into it
Awesome, thank you!
someone posted a 100% afk farm with apples and blueberries and other than it being weed free it also looks really good
the preserve jar machine and seed machine can't make normal and starred, only normal. the outcome is starred if you use star ingredients. you are never selecting to make star seeds/preserves. your last slot will have 1 finished product because the game needs a spot for the non-existent normal outcome. it's not a bug. it could use fixing, but it's designed this way
what
you can't fill up a preserve or seeder with 30/30/30 starred items, the game needs a spot to put unstarred/normal, even if the number you are receiving is 0
well seed makers create occasionally one extra normal seed, even the rest is all starred seeds. This is why it can potentially stop with 30/2/1, as in 32 star seeds and this 1 extra normal seed.
there is no excuse like "it needs room for both starred and normal" in this case, because there is space for 28 starred seeds and 29 normal ones - it is simply a bug, not a feature.
I only ever make apple seeds, never had a normal one show up
try wheat for example
Carrots too.
if I ever needed either of those I would just buy from daiya farm
You can't get star quality from them.
I'm over level 50. don't need starred. and also you don't NEED starred for cooking, it just helps
my character is somewhere in the 50s as well and it happens nevertheless, it is not related to skill levels.
I meant for planting. regular seeds become star crops, but I don't even need star crops for cooking, so buying normal seeds or even buying normal crops is easier
I like my layout, return home after 6 am and water my 7 flow trees and 7 apple trees, restock consumables, head back out
but that wasn't the point, we were talking about those extra seeds appearing in seeders, which are normal seeds, even if you seed starred produce, you get the normal amount of starred seeds plus this extra seed, which is eventually getting into the 3rd tray and leads to the seeder's halt.
Just curious. Are you saying that once you reach 50 in cooking, you always get star quality food? It's a skill I lag on but if it will benefit me to go up, I will make an effort.
no, but realistically if you are over 50 in cooking you are doing parties, where speed matters most
if you made it to 50 in cooking solo ... I'm sorry that happened lol. I was at like 20 something with everything done except focus food. getting to 50 by myself would be a chore
I'm at 44 and I've never cooked with anyone else.
that's a lot of cooking. cake parties are great xp. I've recently started doing apple pie parties, since I can use my extra apples
I've always been more of a solitary player.
same. you don't really have to talk. sign up, show up, do task. get food, say ty and leave. it's oddly enjoyable
wouldn't interest me at all, if people don't talk
hard to type when you are chopping, especially on switch
then before or afterwards
cakes take longer so you can type between tasks. I'm not overly talkative in game. in discord I can't shut up (not sorry). others usually talk during parties
it's not your fault, the game just doesn't offer the tools a social game requires, I put that to the devs in several ways, but nothing is really changing
I reran my numbers for gold per minute on preserves and seeders. I don't suggest selling seeds for blueberry, apple, potato, tomato, peppers, or bok choy. the return is generally half or worse than any not listed. as for preserves, everything falls within a .13 gold per minute margin, so preserves are equal across the board. seeds (not the ones listed) are relatively similar, with the difference between rice (1.04 gpm) and cotton/onion (1.66 gpm) being .62, which realistically isn't bad. so if you are doing preserves to gold, or seeds to gold, other than the ones I listed it's about equal. your best option to maximize gold from gardening is harvest boosted crops. get as many crops as quickly as possible, set up pres/seeders so that they will continuously be running, and then swim in the golds
mind you I don't do this, I run 7 apple tree with 7 preserves. gives me enough to have them continuously run with enough extra apples (70 in my case) to make seeds for the next replant
I maximize it by running 28-30 crafters with produce or pickled stuff pretty much all the time. It would be all the time, if growth boost would be actually working, but as it is, I have 4-5 spare days in a 30 days cycle, where I juggle with crafters to let them run 24/7, which means I will seed alle wheat and rice as well, just because I have not enough produce for all jars, and run then 20 seeders and 10 glow worm farms for a couple of ingame days.
I run 5 apple trees and create 16 seeds in 3 cycles, 15 for replants, 1 extra per 3 cycles.
there are no extra apples, I process everything
7 pres, 6 worm (only because I have extra crafter space and lots of meat hunting plushies), 1 seeder, and lots of external crafters as storage.
unless I skip a day of playing (burnout is real) my preserves are always running and making me gold
using crafters as storage cost you like 3k every rl day per crafter not busy with making money.
so if you have 10 of those, you basically waste 30k every day on your extra storage.
ehh. who needs gold? plus I spend a lot of time mining or fishing or really just proudhorn hunting. gold isn't an issue
it's true, at some point we don't need it anymore, that is the problem with this game actually.
nah the problem is overplaying. lots to do as long as you don't binge play every day (I binge play daily, don't be like me). I've run out of quests and caught everything. my only objective anymore is plushies
I have 4 characters, so it takes me longer to get to this point, I play one, the rest is pausing meanwhile.
I couldn't stand naio dialogue four times lol
I didn't know if you were allowed to have multiple characters.
I'm not much of a quester, so it doesn't bother me.
4 different accounts, not on one account.
the way you have to select your 1 character every time you open the game is absurd. like a needlessly added buffer screen. oh I clicked play now it has to load, great, it loaded into a character select screen of my 1 character, fun, another load screen? awesome
that screen is designed for more characters but we only get 1. terrible
I'm not doing it like this, I play one character for a longer time and when I get tired of making that much money, I choose one of those, who makes much less and play her for a while - like 2 or 3 weeks in a row.
I had a character but I was really annoyed when my gales quest got bugged. I gave up and started a new character, but haven't really gone back to the original.
that is pretty normal, @coral pecan, in most games my original "main" didn't last and one of the alts took over that role. Pretty much in every game I was or have been playing.
My currently best palian is actually my 3rd character.
I felt a little like I should go back since I started that character at the end of closed beta
current rank list is: 3,2,1,4
1 is that wide behind, because she strip chopped her housing plot and I dislike it.
and the 4th character had an extra free housing plot, so I pause for a longer time to make up for this.
and every time a new character is created, it is freedom, not having to care for stuff and asset and all the burden of having to care for all of this - but unfortunately I'm the type to make the same mistakes over and over and over again so in the end they all end up as entrepreneurs maximizing income and all get wealthy and boring in the end - it's tragic, but the flaw is in myself, I just am this way.
Mine are pretty similar.
Lovely people! I request your assistance. I'm trying to create an AFK apple/blueberry farm and I have no need for quality boosts since I'm already lvl 25. Any ideas are greatly appreciated ❤️
this compilation from Sen has a couple of ideas https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GyPgetnBlxypFaYzvGSyhGPntXnpMxsm_q8zvXYHEqg/edit#heading=h.4rn3fsx0rkaz
just scroll down to those level 25+
if you are just interested in apples and blueberries, you could let weeds stay on booster crop and just pull weeds from berry bushes and apple trees. Once you have 9 weeds in your garden on booster crops, those 9 will not grow anymore, but they will provide the boost and you have an all afk berry/apples garden, if you choose that one with 100% water retention.
never thought i'd have my own flow grove at home but here we are
hey, i recently started planting my seeds with layouts but i can't exactly find the layout i need. where do you guys find them? or do you have any recommendations? i have all the seeds btw. thank you in advance😋
I've used this site, it's rather helpful because you can create your own and see what the outcome of that layout will be.
thank you!!!
is this actually a thing or it's a meme?
If you finish the temple of roots bundles, you get a housing item that can give you Flow Tree Seeds. So yes you can get a Flow Tree Grove on your plot
Omg, now I have some grind to do
Yeah it takes a bit. I can tell you a few things I remember: ||emerald, Jasper, Palium Bars, 100 apples.||. There were some bugs involved too
I’ll find the list and send it to you
Thankfully I had already started and had most of the bundle in my storage. Only missing apples, fishes and beetle.
anyone still having dirt mounds on their birch trees?
how to do this ?
u need this item from || bundles: https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Ancient_Rock_Garden ||
Question; If i plant some apple trees and blueberry bushes with some tomatoes, potatoes and whatnot to ensure the trees and bushes stay watered.. do they still stay watered if the tomatoes etc are fully grown and ready to harvest?
Can you trade using the request option? I have more flow junipers than I want. I would like flow oak or flow samara's. If I request the oak or samara and someone else requests the juniper seed. Can I fill their request and they can fill mine?
Well giving him whats required in the bundle isnt a spoiler
Emerald, Jasper, 20 Palium Bars, 3 gold bars
So its kind a grind
Anyone have Flow Pinecones please?
I wish. I can't even get one of the darn things.
So there are certain things that require non-star quality fruit or item like the honey lures need apples that aren't star and then using star cotton is a waste for fabric....should I purposely plant non star quality plants at times to stock up on that? All I get anymore is star quality
You can use star apples for honey lures. It just warns you that you're using them but you can go ahead.
I think you'll have more work and spend more time (time is money, especially in Palia) than wasting starred quality where it wouldn't be necessary
It's a good thing that we got quivers now for more inventory space because I've been losing a loooot more fertilizer now. (Yes I submitted a ticket.) Just gonna start carrying fertilizer now lol
They're aware of it but yes, the birch trees still have dirt mounds for now until the devs can iron them out.
Am I the only one struggling with pulling worms and fertilizer from bins now that there is an ammo pouch? It keeps switching between the pouches when pulling worms vs fertilizer which causes my cursor to switch to the right pouches. So then I have to scroll back to the left to the completed jobs to pick up the next batch. It used to take seconds for me to pull completed jobs into my inventory and now it's so clunky because it keeps swapping my cursor back and forth.
Can you pull just one of a type of item first and then switch to the other? Or does it jerk your cursor even if you pull out two stacks of the same type?
I pull out the fertilizer first and then the worms. It has helped speed things back up again
Yeah that's what I've had to do but since the worms and fertilizer are mixed (instead of like, one row of fertilizer on top and one row of worms on the bottom), it's still a lot of extra toggling back and forth, esp with a wonky joystick. I wish there was just one button to collect all finished resources.
That's what I have been doing, pulling all the worms then all the fertilizer, but with a wonky joystick selecting stacks next to each other - so say a worm stack next to a fertilizer stack - is not always fluid so it ends up bouncing around to the wrong inputs. If all the worms were on one row and all fertilizer on the other that would be easy, or if they just had one single collect all completed resources button.
ahhh you're playing on Switch then I take it? I would at least put in a bug report about it. If enough people put in bug reports then it'll end up in the dev's list of things to adjust that much faster.
Yes! Good idea, will go submit one.
anyone got a better main apple/blueberry garden?
I like my garden still supplying everything else
Ok, so I am having an odd issue where one of my blueberry bushes randomly looses all its fertilizer. I know it is because I keep all four blueberry bushes at the same stack of 100 and this morning three of them are at 72 while one has no fertilizer at all.
this way it gives less chilli peppers but 100 apples more 🤔
this is happening to my blueberry bush as well. I lost a ton of speedygro when I harvested my blueberry bush
I don't think I had even harvested it yet... though now I am wondering if that might be a trigger.
oh yeah, that's weird! Mine only disappears when the whole bush disappears after the final harvest. So too goes my fertilizer
I know with apple trees, if you harvest them the last time while they have fert the fert will remain on a single tile (once you till) and then planting a new seed sends the leftover fert from that 1 tile to my inventory
My trees Sanderson sisters. 🥰
lol
I would like to make this exchange with you. Any of the other 3 Flow seeds by Juniper. I don't know how it works to add people by name. I use the switch and I'm not an experienced player, so you have to help me step by step, but I'm willing to exchange Flow seeds with you.
Are home-grown flow trees supposed to produce seeds like other home-grown trees? I have my first tree (a juniper) to the mature stage, but it won't let me water it further.
Yes, they each give you a seed once you water them for the last time
Trees do not receive water 1 or two days (hours) before the last water of maturation and then give seed
How long does it take for a tree to grow from adult to mature?
hi, can someone tell me what the spicy pepper seed's problem is? sometimes it says garden not empty, sometimes it says needs 4 adjacent tiles (or something) and i can't get the darn seed in the ground... so, what's up? thanks in advance
Pepper seeds take 4 empty slots
Blueberries take 4 too, and apple trees take 9
ok, just a cluster of 4 empty together should work then
Yep!
abaracadabra, presto change-o, let's gooo! 😄
I'm new to the game, why do you guys plant the seeds mixed? Why not just in rows? Like all the tomatoes in a row?
Because each type of crop has a type of boost it can give to adjacent crops
so placing them strategically means you can have multiple types of boost and garden efficiently!
If you hover over each type of seed it will tell ya what each one does. Some boost other crops, some help with water retain, some with weed prevention etc
Also I just noticed we both have Kiki profile pics hehe
Also, the boost only applies to different plants. So a tomato will keep any neighbouring plant hydrated, except if that plant is a tomato
Several of my trees are in the mature stage and I have watered them repeatedly hoping the water meter icon would go away but it hasn't happened yet. I figured they would work like the flowers and drop seeds eventually but how many more times do I need to water them??
what should i be planting? i want as much profit as possible so i can buy a new room
as bad as a response this is going to sound, it's going to be true. plant what you can reasonably process with the time you can play. if you are only going to be online for a few hours a day, and can't log in every so often to get the crops to grow (since crops gain one growth tic when you are offline then stop growing) apples, which have the "best" price for preserve takes 12 hours to get your first harvest from them. if you only play for three hours a day, for example, you won't see your first harvest for 3-4 irl days. bok choy, however, grows in 3 hours, so you would have time to get that harvest started in the seeder before you end for the day.
it also highly depends on how many seeders and preserve jars you can place down. the more you have, the more crops you can process in the time period that you have and while you are offline. but, the flipside of that is you may still want your sawmills and smelters down to still craft items. which will cut into your how many seeders and jars you can have. crops in storage don't make you money, so they need to be processed, and that's going to be your game play style that you will need to decide
Pinned has some great info, I recommend having a variety of crops and going for a quality/harvest boost setup or if you don’t have a lot of time and wanna idly farm something with lots of water retain/weed prevention. I honestly just did nothing but tomato’s for the longest time with star seeds and then star preserves. If you don’t want to process into seeds or preserves then go for star cotton. It’s up to you really, every crop ends up yielding the same profit for time spent
Does soil untill itself if you leave it alone for a while? I read online that it did but maybe it's changed. I'm trying to move soil to a different plot.
I saw a video from someone saying that selling the tomatoes seeds are the best way to make profit from gardening. The strategy was haversting tomatoes to create new seeds, replant them and then start selling the seeds. They said it’s better than selling the tomatoes alone. Does someone know if it’s really more worth it? My math wasn’t mathing lol
For the tomatoes, seeds are the most profitable way ot make money off of them but apple jam is probably worth more. I wouldn't take time into consideration because you're going to be gardening anyway.
only sell raw crops if you have an over abundance of a crop that's just sitting in storage waiting to be processed into something else (whether seeds or preserves). but seeing as how it only takes about 30 minutes for tomatoes that shouldn't be to big of a problem
Wow! Kuddos for whoever created this website. Thanks for sharing!
it's a good reference to show what the different processes make
Does anyone know how many tomatoes you can get from one crop? I guess it’d be like 4. So for me it looked like it was worth it selling it directly instead of seeds. But maybe seeds are a faster way (I don’t have preserves jar yet)
If you want whatever's faster it'll be selling the crops as they are instead of putting them through a machine.
if strapped for money, like need it now type gold to buy that last room for your house, you can totally sell the raw crop, just as long as you understand that you technically will lose money in the long run doing so
but if you don't need it now, processing the crop to something else is always going to be the way to make the most
I see!! I kind need the gold now to upgrade my chest, but I’ll try to do a little bit of each to make it more sustainable. Thank you so much for the help ❤️
just remember, seeders and preserve jars run even when you are offline, crops however only grow one tic when offline and then stop. so, make sure that your crafters are setup for when you are away
If u want money just run potatoes tomatoes set up like me KEKW.
Preserve the tomatoes
Seed em potatoes
Ez money
Hi all. Does anyone know the best layout for farming? I'm about to get my 9th plot and I have apples and blueberries and the rest. A lot of my seeds are starred if that matters. I play when I can, mostly weekends now after a long time away. And I really want to start making gold, esp to level up my other skills
I'm following Sen's method atm
#🐣│palia-newbies message
kinda hard to find a proper layout but go wild & experiment™
Thanks I'll check it out 😊
Tomato seeds isn't profitable btw. Turning them into Pickled/Jar tomato is better
Oh that looks like if I use rice with apples either side I'll get a lot and maybe have space for my other ones. I like having them for cooking too
If you turn the apples into jam then put them into a normal worm farm, you'll get monies
it kinda depends on how you look at it. both processes take ~30 minutes to complete. on one hand, yes you are losing that third tomato to make seeds, but on the other hand it would take you 1.5 hours to process that third tomato that you lose if you go for jars.
at least, that's how i looked at it
You use 3 tomatoes for 2 seeds
if we talk about quality tomatoes
3 crop = 102
Turn into 2 seeds = 120
Turn into 3 pickled tomatoes = 153
right, but if you went solely for jars over the seeds, you wouldn't process that third "lost" tomato until after an hour, where you would get the 120 gold with the loss of tomato, if that makes sense
but the time it takes - seeds -120 gold in 30 minutes, jars -153 gold in 1.5 hours
Ok I'm gonna try to keep this in mind, just got the plot for badruu had to wait for shipment
ultimately, in my mind, you take a loss with the crop, but would get more in the same time frame
I don't wanna maths. Its afternoon & brain hasn't gotten sleep
i hear ya, math was never my strong point
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/0/d/1YV_LiHp48shNifWakdZtOI9j6_IqQI0A7dRdr28lHNY/htmlview# just use this i guess. Never looked thru it. I mostly split my tomatoes into seeds & jars cus i have a megaton of it LOL
https://www.paliatracker.com/gold-profit i used this for me
Thnx
Is there any other way to get flow infused tree seeds other than the galdur statue? I've been looting one seed a day from him since day one and have not gotten one flow tree seed yet. Am I missing something?
you are missing luck. that's the only way to get them. I've gotten 7. some people have even more!
You can either just grab the seeds and hope for the best or you can use a trick to get a flow seed everytime
Is there any farm layout with tomato potato blue berri wheat apple and chilli want two apple trees 2 blue berries 2 chiliies more potato and if weed free will be possible thanks
this is exactly how I look at it
I use it as a solution for when my storage is filling up because my jars can't chew through my produce fast enough
maybe u can find some in there idk
So what's the trick?
So, I've been experimenting with planting placement.
What I've got so far is, Tomatoes in the center square; carrots or onions in the 4 corner squares; and wheat, rice, or corn in the 4 plus-sign squares.
This doesn't make room for the cotton if I just lay the soil plots in a 1-by-n line. So I'm wondering, should I try a 3-by-n layout instead?
question - why do fully mature flow trees (grown from seeds from ancient galdur statue) keep requiring water?
is this a bug or something? or will anything happen to the them if i stop watering them?
When you water them for the last time then it will give you a seed, but I saw someone say that they arent supposed to be watered that many times. But I dont know if it is intentional or not
ah ok thanks
is it possible to remove fertilizer?
Do your crops despawn if they aren't picked in a certain amount of time?
no, they don't, but I have planted tomatoes several times on a patch where there's some growth boost from a previous setup, and it doesn't consume
Ok thats good, I was worried they would
only way to remove fert is to replace it with a different one, I believe
or plant a 2x2 or 3x3 crop over the empty fert tile and it will go to inventory
thanks for the tips!
This is my new crop layout. I will additionally add harvest boost fertiliser to everything. Includes every crop, in varying amounts. 2 crops need watering and 2 crops might get weeds. (It's symmetrical along the positive diagonal except for the bottom left)
So if i put 9 apple trees how many apples I will have overall after all trees will deplate? If I put 81 cabbage how many cabbages I will have overall?
hello im new! best way to get wild tree seeds? i need to grow them for a quest
You need have axe that will cut large trees as seeds drops only from large trees
ill have to upgrade my axe tysm!
How many times do we need to try growing the 5 wild trees? It refuses to update
Hey everyone. I am running into conflicting information regarding harvest boost fertilizer. On some posts it says that it is only useful on the last cycle and others that you have to use them as much as possible
I use them a bunch and it definitely helps, but you don’t necessarily need to use it on the last cycle. Does this help?
I don't know! Hahaha What I mean is: Do I have a better chance of getting the harvest boost if I use it during the whole cycle? Or is it the same if I use it before last and I'm just wasting fertilizer the rest of the time?
I would use it throughout the cycle, but there is a way to see the current boosts you’ve given to each farming plot with your fertilizers (I’d need to check if you’re unsure how to do this) to monitor the ongoing effects of the fertilizers if you’re truly unsure.
No no, how to check active boost I am aware. It was specifically regarding the mechanics of that specific fertilizer. Thanks for the replies!
Did they fix the bug for harvest boost not working on apple trees?
anyone else having issues with soil not untilling? i've left my soil bare for almost 24 irl hours now and it has not changed.
From what I have heard, there is a chance that the fertilizer will work. If you use it the whole cycle then it is a 100% chance for harvest boost (in this case) but if you only use it during the last cycle then there is a chance that it wont work. But I am still unsure on this
The apple tree yielded a collectable fruit at some point when you were on plot. It was not collected before the next 6am ingame tic, causing the apple tree to dehydrate (even though your water retain companion crops were there, the tree needs to be watered again after collecting the available crop).
Ah okie thank you
If you ever enter your plot, make sure to check the garden for multi-harvest crops like apples/blueberries/peppers/tomatoes before leaving the plot (even if it is on a different layer/layout).
If you're outside of your plot when the harvest becomes available to collect, the dehydration effect does not occur until you enter the plot, plus one tic, due to your character not 'seeing' the crop. Multiple stages of multi-harvest crops can stack while outside.
Yea my first time having Apples so I didn't know that lol Now I know to check it every ig time
Soil only becomes untilled after harvesting a crop. You will need to plant something that grows quickly like rice and harvest it for the soil to be untilled.
I'm almost reaching level 10 gardening but i will not gonna get lots of apple after reaching it? I see that it sell at different currency
.
Oh and i am preparing speed grow by sweet leaf into glow worm farm that is correct right?
You need to apply the fertilizer every day for the boost to work. U can stack up to 99 fertilizers and they will be used every day themselves
The level does not affect the quantity of harvest, only the percentage of the chance to get starred crops grow with every level
Best layout for glow worm farm? 100% afk is possible
If u mean u want more glow worms, I would recommend growing apples and lay ⭐️ones in a glow farm or apple jams. Here is an AFK layout u can use:
Thank you!
while we’re all waiting on the hot fix, anyone got a better crop layout than this?
(for profit purely. the non-starred go in the shipping container and the starred crops all go in seed makers. i have 15 currently i think on my plot)
interesting layout, mine is quite similar but only uses 2 total crops. if you're just going for seeds to cash, that's pretty much it. run as many seeders as possible, and don't let them run empty. tomato technically pulls in a very slight profit increase, but it's very very small.
you'll want to work on doing crops you want for cooking first
like what?
i do this its not tons of money but its very helpful early game
Why does it keep giving me this notification?
It keeps giving it even if im no where near the crops
Para la gente de habla hispana una forma eficiente de plantación es:
Por cada espacio de tierra tenemos 9 cuadros
La plantación correcta es
Mira la imagen es la cosecha de mayor producción cuando empresas y con 100% de agua (olvidatede regar)
Watering, planting seeds and hoeing doesnt give you XP?????
Nope, only harvesting crops
I’m actually starting to DESPISE this game Fr
Level only really matters until 25, and even up to there, you can still make good money without quality.
Is a 4 apples better then 3 apples with grown boost?
Grow+harvest, I think should be about the same, but without harvest, 4 with are deff better
How much does it short time to grow apple tree with grow boost? 12+6+6+6+6 is for apples normal
I mean 3 grow+harvest and 4 just harvest about the same. But 3 boost and 4 harvest, 4 harvest is better
Probably said it confusing ahahaha
I know the cycle is 20 days. I believe : 8+4+4+4, but not 100% sure
Hello, from where I get wild trees seed. Sorry if my question be in wrong channel
i tried doing this today, covered all tilled tiles with crops, let them grow, and picked them but they are still tilled....
this pic is several irl hours after harvesting
it takes 48 hours for tilled slots to become untilled
48 irl hours?
yep
is that new?
don't think so? it's on the wiki, so i don't know how long it's been like that
well this evening should be 48 hours so ig we'll see
With the harvest boost fert do I need to use it every time on star quality seeds?
In order to work, every fertilizer needs to be applied every grow tic, so every hour (but u can also stuck up to 99 fertilizers)
Oh you can stack them, that’s helpful to know. Does it boost the quantity then rather than turning non starred seeds to starred veg?
Quality fertilizer increases the chances to grow star quality crops (applied every day it’s 100% guarantee to get starred crops from starred seeds) and the harvest boost fertilizer increases the quantity
Ok thank you that makes sense now then, was surprised the fertiliser was going so quickly, more worm farms being put in use now 😁
having the same issue, just gotta keep watering and see if the quest is working
I think you have to grow the trees until they return a seed, for the quest. can't recall tho
Anyone have a 6-7 apple farm with 100% water retain and harvest boost. Without fertilizer?
