I'm sorry to doubt you, but has something like an event really been updated? When I log in and talk to him, the conversation is the same as usual, and no quest marks are generated. The number of captures is not counted, and I think they just give you a stuffed animal as a gift after the period is over. Is there any evidence that something has been updated in the game for this event? Sorry if I'm wrong.

So they are doing an actual gameplay community event for the first time, and there was no prior information, announced on the day it started, there is nothing in game about it , no kind of progress bar to let us know how its going or prompt to go catch bugs, there is no personal progress/milestone/small rewards for participating or encouraging it (catch 50-100-300 bugs ect) . am i the only one who thinks this is a massive let down/ poorly managed or we jsut accepting the very little effort they seem to put into things

If you're wonderng which LFG forum to use remember that:

• Parties are limited to 4 people and are fairly temporary, you can see each other on the map, you share loot, you can set party way points, and you get a chat channel. They're also bugged at the moment
• Communities are limited to 25 people (same as a server) and so far only give you a chat channel and players you're more likely to be matched to the same server with, there are no neighborhood, guild, or community like features yet

Q: How will we know when we hit the goal?

you either get it by finishing proof of magic, or by finishing the optional egg puzzle inside the temple on the main island in the temple of gales. the door should have opened after you finished the sliding puzzle, as long as you've done the other temples too

Ancient Flowbugs can be caught in the Temple of the Gales at all hours on the Bug Island, the star version can be obtained by choosing to talk to Elouisa. Elouisa after finding all of the collectibles for the Quest, Proof of Magic quest, or in a chest after solving the puzzle in the small temple on the main island.

Tips I've seen for doing honey lures with a bunch of people - turn down the graphics settings, wear an outfit without effects, and put away any pets to reduce any issues with performance that could get in the way of catching. Having all those visuals on top of the bombs can make things stuttery

I feel like it's a preference thing. I like sneaky bomb for lures because you can be a bit less accurate with throwing it and I prefer sticky one for random bugs in the world. but I feel like it's good to try both for a bit and see how you like them

as long as you're hunting for animals that drop plushies it's all luck. first time I was trying to get regular sernuk one it took me 400 kills, around 1000 on the second and around 50 on the third.

if you're hunting for anything other than the regular sernuk it's good to hunt in a party with people because it's easier to kill / catch more

i am a bit frustarted at the weekly bug catching goals though

i usually complete all the weekly goals but for some reason whenever i use a buzzy jar and catch the rare insects detected by them it doesn't seem to count towards the weekly goal

and then it just randomly completes if i'm doing honey lure with people

Yeah rare is a step above uncommon. It's why the duskwing doesn't show up with a buzzy jar despite it being harder to find

I've been playing since august and have mined a lot to get most of the star stones plus I keep a stock pile of apples for cake parties - I usually have 3 honey lures and supplies to make 5 more. Also yeah guild coins from leveling up (max you focus and bonus then keep your focus up to level faster) and weekly challenges

There's also a furniture item that you can get from questing that is a little home for a friend. Said friend leaves you a gift every ingame day or so (It feels like twice per day to me sometimes) and said gift can be 3 gold ore.

I have 2 of all the bug plushies except the one I'm trying to get... I have 1 of (not complaining) but it makes me think maybe not trying is how to get them? I did notice that I think I got both my ladybug plushies from Sundrop lillies

I'm pretty sure 'catch' refers to each looted bug as you don't get credit or bug catching xp until you loot, so if all four party members looted the same bug it should count as 4 bugs.

Sure thing. It's tempting to sell them. They rare and bring in a good amount of gold. But having a couple on hand is probably a good idea.

I keep a bunch of bugs like this in my lockbox. That way they don't get used for things like buzzy jars.

Hello, are there better places to place honey lures to catch insects? I used two recently in two different places in BAHARI and I only had common insects. I wasn't hoping to have epic insects but at least some less common ones or a least one rare in the lot. Any opinions or suggestions? thanks

Where in Bahari were you hunting for bugs?

Pulsewater Plains might bring you some glowbugs, which are much less common. They only spawn in the evening and night, and disappear by 3AM. But at 3AM until 6PM, you can try the Rainbow Tipped Butterfly in the same area.

if you're doing lures definitely do them with people, helps get the common bugs quicker so there's more chances for the rare ones to spawn

I had to use that to figure out what I still needed but I find it really frustrating. Having to do research to match a silhouette to the fish took time where I'd rather play the game. If they don't want to name them, they could at least alphabetized. Sorry not ranting at you, I just think it's a bad system.
