When doing something like this, especially if you are newer to it, it can be easier to use the side of your house, that way you can use the grid to help you measure. You can also move in half small square increments rather than 1 full small square with the builder's pieces. For example I only turned this by 1 without moving the shelf. If you look at the pic you can see that it needs to move about 1 square to the left and half a square down to merge the way you need it -

Having a little ruler right there, and being able to move in smaller increments will help a lot

I always just turn my shelf, set it back and float the object to see where it sits without moving it, then go back and use the measurements I got from the grid to set it in place

"flick it" is doing the fast clicking while you have some object at your shoes?

Flicking is the easiest option then. You would have the board in ur hotbar, then have another item, like a crate, already placed out of the way on the ground. Pick up that crate, stand where u want it to be, and stand close to the crate so it says somethign is in the way and shows red. Hold in ur mouse button and hit the number key ur board is assigned to. It will place the board, and the crate you were holding will go back to where it was sitting

Once u start adding rotation, keep it the same and you should see it take shape. So for each barrel added, turn by an extra 1 or 2, depending on how sharp of a curve u want. So for example, turn by 2, do your measurement and add the barrel. Pick up and place to activate. Then to add the next turn by 4

As you add your adjustment measurement will change, bc the barrel you add next will be sitting in a diff. location than the last (higher/lower/further over)

Flicking isn't supported gameplay, it's a community discovered mechanic so it's subject to change/break as we work on the game.

Though we do hope to support the use-cases that flicking enables as core gameplay in the future, making it easier, more consistent and accessible to more players with less work.

I used the cobweb to put them on rotated builders floors. But I managed to figure out how to do it with a single floor as the anchor for each "stripe" of terraces. So there's three terraces on one floor which is suspended from a single shelf. The ceiling is a giant terrace upside down, again on a builders floor, but then floated higher than the ceiling with the one-cup method so that only the very surface is poking through the ceiling. (And why did I flip them over completely? They are white on the top side and sort of gray on the bottom. I wanted white.)

It's a lot of cancel placement to get them inside. And a lot of jumping, since the rooms are also floating.

I think it's somewhere around 10-12 small crates in height for a single anchor (don't quote me on that 😬 ) . You can chain anchors to get higher, though. Our characters can only go so high, though. You can actually float things higher than you can actually climb. I think you end up yeeted to the lamp zone if you yourself go too high.

I floated some off a dessert plate that I hid under the floor. You have to flick them onto the plate out of bounds, but you also have to cancel the plate upwards before you flick so that they are floating. Then you can use a pillar on the plate to then use the one-cup method to sink the plate ever so slightly (although it might just hide under that rug...).

These rugs don't like to be close together and they often don't like to rest on terraces. I think maybe it's because they are not perfectly smooth on the bottom? So maybe the lowest part of the rug is actually colliding with the terrace. You should be able to put a single gourmet dessert plate down and put it on that. You just have to aim at the plate which is a tiny target under the rug, but if you wiggle around you'll find it.

Not a silly question! It will work out of bounds as long as you are getting the "Something is in the way" message. So you can't just flick onto the out of bounds ground, but if you put a terrace out there or builders floors or whatever, you can definitely flick onto those!

I think this is where the double jump thing is important? Because if you can freely place the house you aren't in the right menu. When you are in the right menu, you can't move anything, but you can pick up the house and it will snap to the present.

Okay, so you need to put your present down. Aim your mouse at the top of the present and then escape from build mode without moving your mouse. Double jump so you open your glider and hit H and Y together and then exit out of the emotes menu that should open (if that doesn't open you have not done the jump/HY combo correctly). Then you just pick up your house or pull it from the inventory on the left of your screen and the house will snap to the top of the present. Click to place it and then you probably will have to hit unstuck if you are stuck in the floor of the house.

They rotate on the ground just by rotating. If you want to rotate them like a clock on the wall, you have to put them on a shelf. But they will not stay rotated that way when you pick them up unless you have an anchor that keeps them oriented that way.

No, none of the plants from the piksii bounce or the bloom event in kilima give seeds except for the plants that we already could get (like the rose and gardenia, which we already had before, give seeds, but none of the new ones).

Oh yeah, except weirdly the cottonball. That one does give seeds, but I think it was also part of the bulletin board for that patch, so I think that might be why that one was special.

I would recommend sinking the present before placing the estate so that Iit sits at ground level, then place where you want the GHH, cancel place the present (with the house) away and move the GHH
Since all buildings have the same foundation level they should be no floor height difference and by leaving the present on the ground you don't risk losing your estate (if you leave the present placed inside, bad things may happen)

but with a different angle like this instead of completely on its side. you have to mess around with the direction of cancel placing the shelf, depending on where you want the plate to end up so you can hide it (i hid mine under the stack of books to the left)

The thing about rotational floating is that your floating item will go the opposite direction that you rotated. So if you have say a present on a shelf and rotate it clockwise to do your float, when you place the present down it will look like your floated item moved counter clockwise. In addition, wherever you place the item when you put it on your cancel placed anchor will end up the exact distance from your anchor as the distance you cancel placed your anchor. So if your stuff is ending up too far from your anchor, you're cancel placing your anchor too far in the first place. (I hope this makes sense. It's hard to visualize, but even harder to explain!)

Hmm, I've found an interesting issue that can happen randomly when adding houses to red presents.
Sometimes walls connected to sides with other houses on red presents can become haunted, and open and close at will.
Thankfully it seems like re doing the room fixes this issue.

Someone posted this in a different channel, but could anyone tell me how the roof in this picture was made to be slanted like this? It looks like building blocks rotated and merged together, but I don't know the technique for this.

We make those using a method called "cancel placement" (you can find it on youtube, really easy to do) and using a shelf to rotate the item

then attached set by set (the back and awning) then place paver before finally assembling them

thanks, i figured it out but i only used 1 red present on a wood floor anchored to a pillar i sunk, then i placed the tree ☺️
it got me to the depth i wanted

after the pilar and wood floor are sunked (attached to each other) lift it up and place the red present on the wood floor, then place the tree....then carry the pillar and place it to where you want the tree

Is the pillar close enough to the tree that whatever part sticks out is covered by the branches?

no this one's got distance luckily it is being covered by the branches and is against the wall
if you want it standing close to the tree you will probably have to directly sink the pillar below itself (right below the position when it was on the shelf )

no worries, if you don't want the pillar you could find another anchor to attach the floor
this one worked ok for me since it's hidden by the branches and there's a wall where i placed it

akhem... what I meant say... with the massive increase we've seen recipes requiring a large quantity of basic materials.
It would be wonderful if we could get a quality of life update that included a "bulk purchasing" option.

to illustrate my point:
As an example to fully craft enough columns for a 10 room construction - you would need 1400 Heartwood. [since S6 addid the "feet" to the building profile it's almost required to have columns. -_-/]
