All I did was float pavers 3 small squares off of each other and then place them there, along with the pillars in an open wall, then change it to the doorway

Yeah, the blue does blend a good bit with the grey/blue tone of the stone. Maybe just do a mix? 1 or two diff. kinds along with those?

A contrasting color like orange would look nice

1 - Place ur counter against the wall via multi-selecting a smaller item on top. 2 - Line up ur shelf centered as close as u can. 3 - Cancel place the counter out of the way. 4 - Open up ur wall and scoot the bookshelf as close to the edge as u can. 5 - Close the wall back up, switch plots and come back.

If u want it to sit higher than this, you can sink it into the counter instead, before doing the remove wall part, or sit the bookshelf on something via multi-selecting a smaller item on one of the shelves. To sink it like in the pic- Place the counter on a shelf. Pick up the shelf and cancel place it 1 and 1/2 small squares down. Multi-select a smaller item on the bookshelf and place it as far back as u can on top of the counter. Pick up the shelf and place to activate.

Just cancel place everything away from that corner, till ur left with just that piece, then line it up and place, and it will all snap there

@heady spoke You kept talking about if only the opaque windows in the alchemist cottage had some glowing light... I made one glow! It's not a very bright light, but i buried a homestead lamp in the wall and then put the window there and you can see the light like it's coming through the window. (You can see the tiniest little bit of the light in the glass from the outside--that little white patch--but it's totally hidden from the inside.

i built out a platform with some wood floors on top of two pillars that i hide in the ceiling and can move in and out to edit. the inner workings are very ugly but its all hidden inside the roof

the only glitch needed is to put it inside i cancel place the top pillar off so i can freely place the bottom and it'll snap back on

the mushrooms specifically do have to be on a red present since you can't place them on the builders items

Bc they messed with the hit boxes and collision flicking is a lot harder to do. But, if u layer ur flicked objects anchor it is much easier. Meaning if u r flicking onto a wall piece, put another behind it.

You are just putting a crate and a fence on top of the terrace, then multi-selecting the crate on top of the terrace so u can put it on another crate. This crate is what attaches to the fence. In order to do that, u multi-select the fence on top of the terrace, and attach at the circle connection point on the other fence piece. Make sure the circle turns green

From there u remove the terrace and u are left with the crate and the fence piece on the ground. You can now multi-select by that crate to move the fence around

@delicate ridge 1 - Take a crate and put ur preserver on top. 2 - Place the crate close to where u want it inside, outside on the grass. 3 - Take another builder's piece and place it down further back on the grass (I'm using another crate). 4 - Cancel place the crate with the preserver close to the other crate. 5 - Multi-select by the crate without the preserver so it grabs everything. 6 - Move as many squares as u need to to push it under the house where u would like it. 7 - Repeat 4-6 until u get it where u want, but make sure to take ur flooring off so u can grab the crate from under the house.

This is what I call "pushing" and it is a step used in floating and sinking with the 1 cup method. Idk if there is an actual term for it or not, but I don't think so, ergo pushing, lol.

Using the cutting tool option for the hallway means it totally removes the wall on that face, but this precludes being able to do the two-person clipping with pieces to overlap the elements

This is an option I considered but you're still left with that gap along where they meet.

On top of that, it dictates placement along that axis for the cottage and I like my things being "askew" and not perfectly centered

The only way to truly get rid of the gap between them is to place both at the same time using the 2 player glitch which cannot be used in conjunction with the cutting tool as far as I'm aware

Yeahh, the method I used was the big crate > shelf > small crate > wall > floor!!

It can change how much it sinks/not by adjusting the level of the floor in the end- I personally did a test with just 1 table 1st too see if I like the level of the sink!

Bowls and cutlery are mostly broken as bumping tools bc of the new update. The side of a bowl can still be used, tho it is more difficult to place an item on it now, and it sinks further into the surface. So u can still do sideways books, but it requires an extra step now (cancel placement to un sink the book from the surface)

The pillar you use to flick is used to get a very slim timelapse where you're able to put an item down in its place, that's why you need it to be already on your plot and not from your inventory If you try to merge 2 things coming out of your inventory it simply won't be possible, hence why you put the pillar down Once it's down, you just pick it up and move it to where you stand to flick your inventory item

I usually think of the vibe I want to give my house then look up some inspo on Pinterest, then after I start building
