u use cancelation for it too, take anchor, cancel it UP to float, DOWN to sink and in this way u "borrow" its surface for a moment

If you cancel placed the rock away, don’t move it, just reload your plot, either by switching plots or leaving to Kilima and coming back.

If you try to move the rock you will erase its memory of where it was before z

Basically when you cancel place something you just temporarily move it out of the way, but the object still officially thinks it’s where it was before. When you reload it will go back to where it was before.

when directly placing on those im not sure theres a fix, to not make them get yeeted at front of the plot. but you might be able to put them where you want with other means. not sure but thinking, hidden terraces, maybye if floating works with crafters?? could hide what its put on with rugs or smth

though i think i went at a cooking party where i saw ovens on top of builders blocks. so maybe a way, or maybe they were on top of something else hidden away ^^

You can also try alt placing yardwork terraforms onto the roof with a builders pillar, and try placing the gazebo on those it /may/ work as a console friendly method but Im not on atm to try

If u r on pc, u can flick, if not u can't. There r tutorials on YT for it. As for floating it off the terrace/builder's piece, u need to build a stack tall enough to float off of. Again, tutorials all over the place just look up on console if u r, since it's diff from pc

I'll take the ivy. An extra window isn't worth buying multiple of those. But the curvy roof.... Ah decisions.

• gourmet bowl group select an object will a surface to make it go on top
• cancelation method so you have all the space to put whatever, then change plots and back or other ways, and it gets back where it was, including your lamp

i think...it's difficult to code it to be a real window as it's a decoration, maybe? i think it would be nice if in the future, we are allowed to select "window" as an option for the walls, like we can select open/wall/door. and then maybe we can select the window design? so we can still use the "decorative" windows alongside actual windows we can see out, but make the real ones one per wall. just like the harvest house.

yes and no, this would require the window to have a specific cutting properties in it, and idk why this is sth they seem to struggle with implementing for a long time - look at our water well, if it was able to cut the ground a little we would be able to see the water that is still there, just underground

yeah feels very not intentional, the question is how they fix it. if they just try to fix the items we found that cant be correctly placed atm (i.e. curtains) this will be a problem. if they revert the behaviour it should be fine.

I do. Put a crate on top of a terrain piece, and put a fence piece on top as well. Place down a crate in the grass and multi-select by the crate on the terrain piece. Put it on top of the crate on the grass. Put down a second fence piece on the grass then multi-select by the one on the terrain piece. It will attach the crate to the end of the fence and u can then multi-select by that to place the fence

terrain piece can be removed and ur left with a fence piece that has a crate on the end

u can remove the crate once it's in place

Do this - Multi-select by the crate on the terrace, put it on top of the crate on the ground. Multi-select by the fence on the terrace, then attach to the fence on the ground. Remove the terrace then u can move the fence via multi-selecting the crate attached

I don't know if anyone else has figured this out yet, but it's possible to flick the trim pieces onto the main entrance door of the house even though there's that little roof overhang over the door. I used the roof ivy to get the "something's in the way" alert and then could flick the roof trim on even though the door is there.

Been getting really involved with the exploits/workarounds with wall shelves, terrain bits, etc.

This little piece I made is going to serve as the anchor for the front of my plot. Cute little mound to hide the vertical part sticking out and giving me access to lower Y axis for terrain pieces there.

Intending to use this trick to set up terrain parts all across the front of my property outside of the normally buildable area, letting me build where ever I want. Gonna do a cute little glade for the player spawn point that has a setup for explaining the plush-finding game I am gonna be hosting (signs explaining it, example plushies and such to make it clear, etc.)

(Me grabbing the base piece that carries everything else and what the final result for it all will look like when I place this one at ground level)

Rn I gotta move this out front and look at the space to get an idea of how exactly Ima be laying out the following terrain pieces for the desired effect... Maybe take a SS for easier reference in the future.

Tryna think if I can plan this out effectively in some way. Maybe taking a pic of the bird's eye view in H and using paint to lay out circles the size of the pieces

I personally try to do things so the end result looks as un-gridded as possible for visual appeal reasons (Though geometric arrangements have their place; it's just games naturally support geometric stuff and as such it's easy to do n often gets overused so doing otherwise is usually a whole thing)

In progress shot of the compound decor I am workout out and putting together. Fixed the leaf decor since I took this pic so they're aligned and grouped optimally while the pillars supporting them are no longer sticking out of the lamp post.

Having finished that part I started considering other stuff to add more to it. Using lilac bushes (semi grown ones for smaller leafy element) and potted plants coming off at various angles for extra branches/leaves/small flowering elements (gonna cover the pots with the lilac leaves n such)

But wanting to do that I needed to learn about the restrictions on the potted plants I want to use, then realized I could just fully test EVERY potted plant (and other decor items of interest) for angled placement restrictions

Set this all up to quickly test all the potted plants and other floor elements. Gonna compile my findings in an infographic I can share with everyone so they can learn it without having to spend time doing this lmao

I am testing each potted plant for how steep of an angle of floor they can fit on, and for ones that have limited angles of spin around Y axis to their placement options, documenting the available rotations as well

but if the floor is angled, sometimes the flat collision box is too big and runs into the angled plane of the floor

Though with snapping to grid, each decor item also has some leeway with lifting it up from the snap point, and sometimes that vertical difference enables it to be snapped at angles previously not viable

Wanna share my plans for my plot. Doing a like shoji-house-surrounding-garden U shape on the left, and then gonna do a manicured garden inside in the orange box. Purple is the cliff and cave system I am working on, hot pink being elevated overhangs not on the actual ground, light pink indicating a probable higher cliff cutoff so not everything has to be so high

The cyan color around spawn point I am gonna make a little glade you spawn in to, dark blue a flower field out in front of my gardn, green is where Ima put a fishing dock

Then depending on object availability at that point, yellow I may use terrain and yardwork to make a cool tiny-cave over/around the pond back there, and red I might do a treehouse area

there is a lot that needs fixed with them you cant do curtains if you want more windows and ivy and chimneys since they arent craftable you gotta buy a whole other cottage just for them and they cost 30k gold each

youll only get one that can be laid on the ground the rest have to be attached to the house. also wanting to add the windows dont work you cant see thru them you can move them around but thats it. anything from the gh houses (fireplace, windows etc) cant be used on the new line unless you glitch them but i aint that advanced haha

Presently that big rock has a lot behind it to get the terrains sticking out of it to only do so at certain amounts... but I could probably cancel-place to eliminate some of the middle-men in this...

Cancelation should work with terraces, I cut usage with putting them at angles on floors, still spend millions on them tho...x.x

You can have 8 on your plot. To get bigger chests you’ll get the recipes from tish at her register. Copper is 10k for the recipe holds a total of 6,600 items when you have the max amount of chests, then comes iron 50k gold for the recipe max item total 10,000 with max amount of chests and last is palium at 100k gold for the recipe holds 14,000 total with max amount of chests

You can craft 8 chests to have on your plot that’s the max you can have. To upgrade to more storage you will buy the recipes at Tishs register in the village the next big chest is copper. Which will cost you 10,000 gold for the recipe once you get that you will use your storage chests you already have plus the material of copper and sapwood planks to make the copper chests

You’ll always want to have 8 chests. If you don’t you will run out of storage very quickly

yes you need to buy 3 housing plots (slots) and then you are gifted the gazebo and then you will be able to buy it
