Hi! I think I'm in the right spot. I've figured out how to float/sink glitch-wise. But I can't seem to figure out how to rotate + float after the updates. It either rotates and stays low or it goes high but doesn't rotate. Any ideas/tips?

Sweet! Thank you. I've been following this one. I can get things to sink/float fine. But since I can't do "V" I have to select the number, right click to cancel, and then re-select the number and click to place. Because of this I can't rotate the shelf without the paver staying flat/glitched as intended. I'm sure I'm maybe not following it right (since it seems no one else is having the issue!) but I'm not sure

I asked so I can see where the problem might be and I think I know it

First u rotate, then u cancel and also - after cancellation just hit esc to exit build mode, go back to it and u can place stuff without V (which btw also should work but I haven't checked this bc I cancel with random items xd)

U can cancel everything anywhere but if u don't place normally rotation down it won't be saved

[edit] For anyone with the same issue! I had to go to side-to-side to float with rotation. If you want to float-only, the youtube was great! For float and rotate instead of going towards the sky you have to go to the left or right while keeping as level as possible. :)

I used the method from this tutorial! It works for putting outdoor items as well!
Its a bit difficult to get it precise, it usually takes me a few tries to get it where I want but it's super easy

The 3 different sizes are confusing to me. None of the 3 are large. I don't know which ones to buy. 😭

Well, first you spend a fortune on terraces at Kenli's register. 😆

So the most expensive one is huge and it's the height of three of the smallest/ cheapest ones. The middle one is the height of two of the small ones. If you put them next to each other, they will slide into each other, to a point. Then they end up jumping on top. I would probably buy a middle sized one and two smalls. Place the medium one, slide one of the small ones into the side of it down on ground level and place the second small one on top of the medium one. Only thing is I don't know how much of the pixsii thing will hang off the side of the small one on top--I think the diameter might be wider than the small terrace. Hope this makes sense.

Other option is to buy one of each (if you have room--the big one really is enormous). Place the large one, then the others to serve as steps up to it.

This is very much a WIP, but I think you can see how it works. The top level and the bottom level is small terraces, and the middle level is a medium one.

If you place the chest there without the room/building there, then cancel place it away, go into the H mode and place your room/building, then reload your plot, the chest will go back to where it was, inside the wall/foundation of your room. (I hid my stable board in a wall last night doing exactly this.)

I use industrial shelves for stairs, you just put them on an empty wall and put a cup on top, alt select the cup and you can place the shelves on the ground and on top of eachother!! 🙂 Its super easy and they look pretty clean

Ya'll, I think I've made very single Umbraan piece of furniture but I still haven't learned the Umbraan fence recipes. The Wiki says that you learn it by crafting your first piece of furniture.

You have to anchor them to something to get them to do this. Either a builder's piece, a terrain piece, etc. after using a shelf to angle the anchor

So rotational floating, or just rotating on a shelf. Depends on ur build rlly.

If you mean anchorlessly, then no. Flowers need to be attached to something in order to be floated. You can do it all off of a singular anchor tho, rather than multiple floor pieces.

But it takes a good bit of cancel placement to do it that way

You just have to figure out the dimensions of ur room, say a big one is 11x11 white squares I think? And the floor piece is 2x2. Start in a corner and work ur way out thru the measurement if that makes sense

It's easier not to put the flowers on in the corner u start on and add those last just so u dont have to cancel place them out of the way over and over

I think of it like piecing a quilt together XD Everything is anchored off that 1 floor piece so u only need 1

You would either hide the floor piece outside after floating them all on it, or attach it inside somewhere. You can hide it in the ceiling or the floor as well by sinking or floating the anchor.

The summerhouse was est. by this, because I did not want a large kitchen in my house, being "single," but I wanted to at lease have 2-3 ovens for cakes. Could not be happy with it in the house. So I drew from a family home my parents had a summer kitchen rennovated into an office.

The items move (except for on the connecting wall), but you have to have both houses on your plot and move between them. If you pick up the room everything goes into storage.

Not a mistake! There are all kinds of ways people approach decorating. I didn’t plan anything. So there are things I would change if I were to start over, but I just figure I’ll save those ideas for a future plot.

The flower boxes. It seems like the red is "brighter" than your red roof. I'd almost suggest trying "Alabastor" white since it would blend in with your block build patio/porch you have there since the design would look like it's flowing into the stone blocks...

(Then maybe you could try flowers like the Tigerlillies and any red ones to still have that fiery feel to go with your roof!~ (But! Tis up to you~ ))

Ok, as a general rule, if you use builders floors, you need to place them unconnected from each other to prevent the grass, like this: point away when placing the next one
Except this can only be done on the ground before you got them out

You can get them closer together than that before you build them (obviously not helpful for you now), but when it's still just a foundation, there's no roof collision so you can put them much closer together. However, once they're built you can't move them or you won't be able to get them back that close together again. Mine are side to side, but I think it would still work end to end like that.

Ghosting has been patched since the release of EW... There's still the cutting tool that works for open walls, but you'll have to adapt you build around it (Room without wall should be the first one you put down and link the rest of the rooms to it )

okay, so this one is a tricky one, most straight forward way would be using same table as reference and cancelling the table down, placing books remembering that table is actually sideways so when it snaps back u see the effect - but this method requires trial and error

I think an easy method is to have the tree placed where in the house you want the tree to appear with this trick.

1. Place on the plot (away from house)

2. “Cancel place” it somewhere way out of the way.

3. Move the house onto the grid piece where the tree was placed.

Exit and reload the plot.

The homestead lamps that look like gourds, and the maji lanterns make good ones too

There's also the new EW flower looking ones

I use the homestead/garden lamps though any that match the aesthetic is fine.

log cabin lamps are very outdoors-y, kilima lantern is my fav to hang at house entrances too

If they are below a wall you should be able to water them unless the plants are already fully bloomed. You also stated they are out of reach?

Did you by any chance try watering the ground beneath them?

Otherwise this is when I pull out some builders blocks or chests and stack them and jump for a few days until they are fully watered

Once they are fully bloomed they don’t need watered anymore

Yeah those must be done growing. I have mine at a similar level, and I could see the watering bar when I got close. I was able to water without getting up above them--the water went on the ground but it still watered the plants.
