grab a terrace, use it as an anchor but go above the anchor distance, i usually just cancel it from one end of plot to other to be sure, place well, do the rest like with tent

so, the limit for anchoring sth is 10 crates or sth like that, if u for example float sth further away it will get spit in front, works for anything, u place your terrace just like that on one spot, grab it and cancel it all the way far far from old spot and place well on it or anything else - it will get spit

but as with the tent - dont stack or let items connect on top of it for them to properly spawn in front

u need to place sth on top of a shelf, it will be your anchor, then tilt the shelf to angle you want your roof to be (i usually anchor on another wall piece)

that first thing u place and tilt after will stay in normal position

they are not really disappearing, u just need to avoid stacking and connecting things, those that were stacked will stay on the plot u put them primarily, just reload and look for them around

thats the exact case there, all items are not really "lost" but its hard to track them after and i havent tested it myself enough to have solid answers, often moving anchor was enough

well all I can tell u: I have a paver "stuck" like that but cannot find it on the original plot too. not that I really care about it, but I think sometimes you cant even see it on the original plot.
I never lost anything, it may suck to get something back that has multiple items stacked on each other if u couldnt see it on the original plot, but u can get it back by picking up each "layer" one by one

Try reloading a few times, meaning leave ur plot and come back, don't just switch them. If it doesn't show, take a crate, put it on the ground, put a shelf on it, and then sit a chair on that shelf. Turn the shelf upside down so that the chair is underground and then sit on it to peek under ur plot to see if u can find it

If it is a builder's piece, u can make a chain by building down to grab it out of the ground

If not, and u can't reach it, it's stuck

I lost a knife set under the ground and can't get it now bc it's too far down

well, how tightly? thats normal placing when turning them, they are kinda designed in a way that they will fit into each and u need to versitile shapes and turn them around, if u want them tighter tho then there is one extra step

put them away from each so they wont connect, place pillar on top and group select while pointing at the pillar, just watch out for them connecting wildly

Started out just working with each shape and trying to log its actual collision geometry starting w the 4 cardinal directions and then doing the 4 diagonals to see how wonky it got

Is there any way to make decorating less tedious, it feels very overwhelming to me 😅 Kinda fell bad about missing out on like, half the game? spam them randomly, at least flowers, its the most unpopular tip i think but i did that at start XD spammed all, watered, forgot and got surprise when they grown XD ignore pavers if they irritate you too or just smash some planks and call it a day (i went so far that i got irritated with houses so i stopped using them...), if it does not spark joy dont care for it, its your plot and u can do what u want with it

What's really unique about your builds is, not only do you have a ton of technical skill, but the attention to the story and visitor experience in all of them.

You should put the disclaimer signs near the unrelated parts tho, so ppl only read them if they stumble upon the older stuff. I don't think many would even think anything of them tbh, and it would keep the story line flowing. Just an option, obviously you nailed this either way 🙂

I'm doing a castle now and I had made this path and at one point I noticed the pavers was 1 off. Had to redo a big portion. I coined a phrase I like to call section placement, I use builders blocks and make sure I can section stuff up so I don't need to demolish everything to redo a small portion. Has saved me tons of time.

I'm not sure if the same rule applies, but when you use the builder's floors, if they are anchored to the first floor placed, the grass will show through them. They need to be connected, but ramain independent....if that makes any sense haha

Put a builder's pillar on top of your paver and then multi-select by that to place it near the others. They should not connect this way. You can also place one, cancel place it out of the way, then place your next one. Either way works.

Any that have grass poking thru are sitting too close together so they snapped to each other, causing the grass to show, so the only way around that while keeping them close is using cancel placement or multi-select

A way around this is to put floor pieces underneath it

Don't worry u won't see them

You need 4 overlapping floors that are not connected to each other, so u don't have the grass poking thru them, then sit the fountain on top

They should be hidden under the points of the fountain

So just place 1, cancel place it out of the way, place the next, and continue till all 4 are down switch plots come back and ur good to put ur fountain on

All u need is a starred bug/fish/food or a decor item in ur hotbar, locate it and hit the number key while holding the item you wish to cancel place where u want it to stick. It will temp. lock it where you were holding it. Switching plots and coming back makes it snap back to where it was before u cancel placed it elsewhere

So it's as easy as just hitting a button

It just pulls out ur inv. item and leaves the one u were holding behind there without actually having moved it

You can move rooms to different sockets and the stuff inside will stay, except for the wall stuff on the connecting wall. In your original picture, it might work if you put one more hallway between the two rooms on the bottom right, but I’m not positive.

Definitely, making it on the first level is the... less time consuming. And you can get a trampoline higher that way

I do test the limits of every landscape I got my hands on, some are more disappointing than others, the beach one is pretty impressive on the reachable area, in fact

Yeah, I get you, if I'm not using it as part of something I'm building it eventually gets forgotten, I can build means to access it but I wont be going there all the time, unless I place the garden in that area and even then I may forget

Definitely add trees of all sorts of heights. Perhaps adult trees in the center there of your pathing will really make it feel more nature like. Even the fallen tree from the Yardwork set!

Adding rocks, custom or store bought will make it pop, especially in color. I suggest adding some near trees

Definitely add the new plants that was introduced in this update with a good mixture of older plants.

If its still missing some personality- add benches- custom flower beds- I like clutter so im not exactly sure your limit....

I sank him really far from a builders block anchor. The block is at the very corner of my plot and so he ends up peeking out of the water. It took a few tries to get both the depth and the placement right, but I can’t stop laughing now when I go to that side of my plot!

Quick question. Let's say I have a shelf on a wood wall that I want to place on the ground. I place the bowl on the shelf and group select. That in turn also selects the wall. Is there any way I can get the shelf to the ground without the wall coming along. I can't place like a harvest house on the plot and first put the shelf there and then group select it.

If you mean like houses and such, no. You will need to buy new add-ons. As the ones you already placed is locked to the first plot. Think of it as beginning from scratch.
