Oh, that one. You should be able to put small things on it, but they don't sit "inside" it, they kind of float. It may be that the food item u r trying to place is just a bit too big. You can try using cancel placement to get them to sit together. Just put one down, cancel place it out of the way, and then place the other to merge them

It's because of the walls. Even though they aren't colliding with anything, because they touch the ground, it is causing them to turn red (the game is thinking that the walls are sitting too close to something). Same as if you were to try and place a chain of crates or something in the house. It does this to me a lot.

This is upsetting, at least if I place the terrace on default orientation, it allows me to place the walls in a more useful part of the grid, but the walls at 45° do this.

If I don't pay attention this will go away, right?

I was just about to ask if anyone else had noticed that the snapping on these pieces has gotten worse since today... When I try to place a crate onto another, they practically merge together. Tho there is an issue that causes stuff like your problem before today. Try leaving ur plot and coming back. If they don't snap straight, then it's something else.

If not u could also try moving ur mouse around till they sit straight on each other. sometimes when connecting pieces it will leave a gap, or it will sit slightly off center. Nudging the mouse slowly towards the piece u r connecting to can sometimes get it to sit right

I can't give you an exact answer, but some places on the walls act up that way... Usually it happens where there's a junction, even if the wall is full here, in the code there might be a junction there that acts up... Try placing it in free placement mode to get it there if you need

You have to configure your settings in order to glitch. I'm sure there is a tutorial for bin decoration on consoles. If not, just look up glitching tutorials for console and they'll show u how to do the glitches

Are you group selecting something on the shelf? Because then it will treat it like a horizontal surface item and rotate in the microwave direction (I like that analogy!)

So to rotate the shelf on the wall, make sure to only select the shelf. To place the shelf on the ground or somewhere (like to make stairs), you group select a bowl or something on the shelf.

when you do this step on outdoor ground, the whole group is anchored on outdoor ground while floating on upper floor. it might be too high.

instead, if you can do it on upper floor, it might stay.

It’s a bit trickier on Xbox but there are some glitches that work for Xbox for me like the storage bin one and the putting tables inside the cooking stations for a more modern kitchen 😅 idk if all glitches work but I been using the moving stuff via bowl glitch

Cancel placement is what u need, tho to push them where they won't normally go, u have to combine it with multi-select and another item. I've made a few things doing this. You just cancel place the item you want to "push" behind a builder's piece, very close to it, so that when u multi-select, it grabs both. Then if u move it forward, it remembers where the crate was sitting and pushes it further forward, if that makes sense

All u r doing is placing what u want to push as close as u can to where u want it, picking it up, and then cancel placing it close to another item (building pieces work bc they snap together) and then multi-selecting by the item u cancel placed close to so that it picks up everything. When moved and placed normally, it moves the cancel placed item further than it's original position before being cancel placed. You can do it as many times as u need to get the piece where u want it, if it doesn't end up where u want it the first time

I put the stone blocks on a paver then cancel placed them beyond it. I pick up the paver and it moves the blocks. But as soon as the blocks get close to the walls, its red again and doesnt place.

Cancel place all others off of it, and then when u pick it up, the other pieces "follow", so make sure that when u move it into place the cancelled pieces aren't colliding with something outside

When u place it back down normally, all those pieces will snap back onto that crate

If u can't get it further into place this way, use the "pushing" thing I mentioned to nudge it a bit more

Once u have ur pieces as close as u can get them to where you want, take a pillar and place it outside on the ground. Pick up your crates, and cancel place them as close as you can to that pillar, so that when u multi-select from that pillar, it picks up the crates too. From the pillars original position on the ground, move it however many squares u need to get it exactly where u want it inside and place normally. You will see the crates "disappear". But they didn't, they simply jumped back into the house, and moved however many squares you moved the multi-selected pillar from it's original position.

I want a floated concrete slab and I'm using butcher blocks to float it. But when I cancel move the butcher blocks to make the slab float, it also moves.

That's how it is supposed to work. If you cancel place something away and then try to move what it was sitting on, that object will have the cancel placed item follow, because they are still attached to each other.

If you want it to sit directly above your anchor, all you need to do is center your anchor for your item you want floated in a square, cancel place ur items anchor out of the way, place the butcher block stack centered in the square where ur items anchor was, and then cancel place ur items anchor on top of the butchers blocks. Place ur item on top of it. Pick up the anchor and place it normally to activate.

Ok, I'm feeling really dumb right now... I'm trying to sink tables but I'm not really understanding the sinking method 👀 I'm watching your video @heady spoke, which btw you're so good explaining everything, I just can't seem to get it...

All u need to do to sink something is cancel place it lower than it's original position. So say u want to sink a table, u need to start with ur anchor on a stack or a shelf, and then cancel place it lower, whether that be by moving the shelf down, or cancel placing ur anchor on the ground.

However far u move it down from the original placement is how far it will sink

Then u just put ur table on top of the anchor, pick up that anchor and place it normally and there u go

Bc u can nix the floor if so, if not just sink the floor into that pillar to where it hides inside the flowers

You need to make a stack the height u need to sink it to ground lvl. It looks to be just over a pillar in height from the pic. So you would take a pillar, place it centered in a square, place another pillar on top (this will be ur new anchor) Pick up that top pillar and cancel place it out of the way for a second so u can move the bottom pillar out of the way with cancel placement. Pick up that top pillar again and cancel place it exactly where the bottom pillar was. Put ur floor on top centered. Pick up and place the pillar normally to sink.

If it needs to go down a bit more, just add butcher blocks under the bottom pillar to get the height and do it over again. The pillar should be hidden in the flower arch leg

if u can't grab the new anchor(the pillar) after it's been sunk, just cancel place some flowers out of the way until u can grab it

Though I will say that this can be done without an additional piece as an anchor as well if it's made out of crates. You would just make the bottom crate on one of the "legs" ur anchor

All u need to do is turn the bottom crate of the arch sideways on a shelf and cancel place to get them flush, (since they don't connect directly to the side when turned) before adding the rest of the arch to it.

The only tip I could give you is that if you put a bowl/pillar on one of the tables and multiselect, you could merge them a bit together to not have any gaps in your pools

With the relics ? I did it with Mei, I had the amulet IV and her the bag V, did get my 4k in max an hour I'd say

I finally just began collecting essences- it took me eons to realize I was hitting my head against a brick wall and had to do the temples to trigger the full elderwood developments.

The essence stuff makes sense but realizing now that some of it gets more expensive makes it harder for me to justify continuing to shop the essence stuff. Unless a sales mechanic comes along eventually…. I’m not feeling inclined to be that grindy.

Wouldn’t it be wild if Zeki was smuggling essence in the underground coins?

I think I can get S6's idea behind it, once you did all the quests that requires essences, players won't have a use for it aside from the stores but... For the early/casual players, it's a bit annoying to have it cost that much

At least, with some relics maxed out and a party, we can grind them more easily

I would've loved the gazebo to be a recipe tho... (And not THAT big either )

I think the husbandry thing makes sense. You have to have space to store stuff in INCLUDING the animals.

The plot size is generous. I don’t want to have ten mansions crammed into one space. That’s why we’re allowed to have sooooo many plots!

But the issue is you have to be on the player’s plot AND in their party to use the workbench. And probably the custom bench too.

But the concept was everything pretty much (excluding worms- unless something brilliant comes from S6) was fair game and community DIY driven.

The pink flowers are seeds you get from hunting gossamer veil moths, but the white mushrooms are indeed elderwood planters I sank, this one

O-flick (obstacle flick) is a method that let you anchor anything to any decor item, or merge things together It's easier to look up for youtube tutorial for that one But I think you can just anchor the bridge with the multiselect method tho, add a crate on the bridge and multiselect from the crate to put it down on your anchor

The builders bridge doesn’t work under wood flooring no matter how many times I do this

As noted, you can place a small crate on the bridge then multi-select from the crate, that allows you to place the bridge as other builders pieces on the wood floor
You can then sink it or do whatever you want

If I'm understanding it correctly
