decor doesn't take away from your storage; but no, the looted treasure chests are just for deco! If you trash them, you can't get them back, but if you don't care then for sure you can delete them. Some people also gift them to Tish since she likes furniture as gifts.

There is no penalty for gifting something a villager doesn't like, other than using up your gift giving opportunity for that day. They won't even take it. So when I started out, I would just try giving them things that happened to be in my backpack.

apples and worm farms are good passive income but since you have all the crops (saw your message in another channel), you can try keeping a stock of them and joining cooking parties, especially sushi and poke bowls

Ah okay okay so Palia is weird the locked boxes on your default plot to unlock are called plots. And the different plots you can have are called slots.

I know it doesnt make sense it should be the opposite. But yeah when it's saying slots it means buying other slots(what we would call plots) other than your default and the two free ones you get.

You use the mouse to move the brackets back and forth to track the fish. Only press reel button when brackets are green.

I can't guarantee it'll work because technically, I imagine these quest spots have been coded out due to the updated version existing and not requiring the fireworks. It may still work for you since your account is clearly coded for old quest versions. You will run into this again on a couple other quests, I just can't remember which ones have multiple versions.

If they spots do not populate at all, then you'll need a player support ticket submitted and they will have to force-complete the quest for you on their end.

courier pet ability is what you are looking for, with that ability unlocked, you can send 4 or 8 slots of items back to your storage with your pet, you can get the ability either from buying the founder's pack or completing an elderwoods quest, though you can do both and have 8 slots instead of 4

they're quite a lot rarer than orchids but you should be able to find some eventually - i usually find at least 5 if i do a loop of the entire map. one of the places i see them often is up on the little plateau at the center of H4, or on the tree on the cliff at G3.

I was just helping my husband with the Paying respects accomplishment. We had 20 sacred flowers, and began to distribute to all the shrines. At shrine 14, he received the runestone reward, but was out of sacred flowers. AND there is one shrine left along with NOT getting his accomplishment for "Paying Respect". So if this is the case one of the shrines took one too many sacred flowers. We did have 20 in his bag when we started since we wanted all of them gathered BEFORE distributing to the shrines. Partying up is the fastest way to go about but it can juat take time when doing it as a solo player. If you want to level it up quicker as a solo player make sure your focus bar stays full and increase the bonus xp you get by going to the pheonix shrine.

The host will tell you how many of something to bring for the role you signed up for. Generally speaking, if the cooking party says (example) x50 burgers, and you signed up for a tomato role, you'd bring x50 tomatoes.

You can try resetting your window ratio on the afflicted computer, perhaps it is a window sizing error and your mouse isn't registering the area you have moved to.

And of course, try other games/situations to make sure it's not a hardware/software/etc error on that specific computer. It could just be a Palia thing, but can't confirm without other evidence to rule things out.

i don't know if this will explain it for the pumpkins but because they're a 2x2 crop they need to be touching two adjacent crops which give harvest boost, not just one

There are two ways of adding the courier function to your pets. You can buy the Founder’s Pack to get 4 slots. Or you finish the quest line: Hexomancy 101, The Nurture of Shadows, and Home and Back Again. The Nurture of Shadows quest is currently bugged, so you can’t finish it.

You may need another prep table placed if the recipe you are trying to cook uses one to start it.

Eventually you will need 2 of each station to make all recipes in game.

The one you start a recipe on and load the ingredients into, you won't be able to do the actual cooking/prepping on which requires another placed as well of the same kind.

Do you get one glow worn no matter what item you put in the machine? In other words no recipe gets you x3 worm per item

the way you get worms is determined by the sell value of the dish / 50 = worms (rounded)

you can use https://www.paliatracker.com/gold-profit to find out how many worms you get depending on the dish, here is a screenshot in game of an example of putting one standard quality poke bowl into the worm farm

if you want to further increase your profit, sell the fertilizer and then use the glow worms as bait to catch higher quality fish and sell those to make even more profit

i mean technically yes, but it is a huge waste of time in that you're better off putting 30 stacks of cake rather 30 stacks of mountain morsels, if you still want to put in morsels, then you can still do so because im assuming you have so much that you dont know what to do with them, but if you are still concerned about maximizing the amount of glow worms produced per dish, then you would want to put in stacks of the most expensive dish that you can get a hold of

I don't have a lot of time to cook and I don't fish a lot so I was just saying for the sake of simplicity, I could dump a lot of something cheap in the machine as long as I stay replenish the worms i occasionally use then it's the same difference, but if I need a lot of worms quickly than 30 cakes would be 10x more beneficial.

all good xd, i admit i had to reread the question over and over again and had to consult help from friends who are way more knowledgeable than me, so in a way, we both learned something because something you need to consider is that the worm farms all take 60 irl minutes to process the dish into worms + fertilizer no matter what, so technically using 30 stacks of cakes is better than 30 stacks of morsels since you do get more worms in one cake than in one morsels

Now i know i need to put something in worth considerable value to get a multiplier, your answer just also made me realize I wouldn't do that often since when i attend cooking parties it's to sell for coin not use them to farm worms. so inevitably I'll just have to keep my worm supply topped off from cheap stuff because I use the expensive stuff for profit.

@echo cedar That's a little more complicated than you'd think. Palia made farming 'fascinatingin'. You should google the palia garden planner, if you play around with that you'll figure out a layout that prevents weeds, keeps things watered and boost the amount you get.

@echo cedar In large part the farming isn't your money maker in Palia, it's cooking, food is more the resource you farm to fuel the fire of cooking. but once you get apples and blueberries you can sell them for 4x the value of any other crop. Easy answer, Onions, tomatos, lettuce and bok choy I think are the highest value.

What is it with the group of players blitzing and wiping out groves as they appear without waiting till 3 or notifying other players??

Some people may not know the established player etiquette, some people may be doing it intentionally. All that to say, nobody is obligated to abide by the player established etiquette, although it is nice to do so. Groves happen every real life hour, so they're "easy" to get to if needed. And, social request menu for flow wood can be used too.

You can always block players you don't want to encounter again, too. It can prevent you from being on the same server as players who don't play in a similar manner to you.

you can only remove the items if you haven't submitted them yet. once you've submitted them and the slider doesn't move anymore you can't get them back, and it seems likely they won't be refunded to you once the bundles end

It's a book case that you use to "enter the underground," so walk towards the book case at the back wall of that room with the blue mystical entry.

If that entry doesn't work for you if it's not unlocked yet, you can enter the black market at the sewer entrance, which faces at the sea at the beach under the rememberance garden

you can try using the various fish dish buffs that you can make like the fisherman's brew and also use the hook buffs you can buy off einar's guild store, other than that, you will have to start practicing and getting used to the fishing mechanics

Fishing can be challenging, and imo not the most fun. I recommend grinding until you get to level 10 and then you can ignore it from there unless you need a certain kind of fish for a quest. If you have the recipe for Fisherman's Brew ALWAYS drink some while you're fishing.

I'm having an issue with the "All quiet in the umbraan front" quest. For find the next journal, it's giving me a location in A4/5 and B4/5. There is no dig pile in this area. The Palia wiki page shows the location for journal 2 is in G2 at the base of the waterfall. I go to this location and there is no dig pile for it. Can I get someone to help me out is it possible to reset the quest? I have been trying to complete it since Elderwood was released.

Go back and reread the journal. Spend like 2-3 secs per page.

That quest requires to "read" each page for the dig spots to appear

You can close Palia completely, and then resync your deck's date and time via internet. And then reopen Palia, and see if it loads the spot for you.

On steam deck you would go to desktop mode-> system settings-> search date-> uncheck automatically set date and time. Restart-> go back and check set to automatic restart and reload the game.
