Unfortunately the only options we have are what you have tried in the latter just clicking the chat bubble type off, but like you said they just enable again once you change servers.
I like to turn mine off during HotPot for example but once a new game starts you have to do it all over again in there too, and even then the box itself still pops up everytime someone says something.
I've submitted it in feedback to allow us to turn them off/on when we are ready ourselves, you should too

Yeah I was confused too why it didn't want to be placed, just wanted to move it for a second and it would not go back. They said they'll fix it in the next update, hopefully it means all wall placeable things will be back to normal

I was running up and down the coast looking for starred crabs for 2 hours,and grabbed almost all oysters I saw which would be around 50 at the end. I don't know about the best time, to do it, it's all rng when how many spawn, I had 5 in one circle at the span of 10m. I think you just need to run along the coast,no matter the time. And switch servers if they don't spawn fast enough for you. But probably the best if you don't go intending to look specifically for it, it will happen at some point. I swear this game knows what we need and it's not giving us on purpose

if you're on pc you can see the number of oysters you've opened by reading Palia.log and searching for the text Updated value of stat ItemConsumed_2934 to (you need to have opened an oyster recently for the text to be there though)

so I’m trying to calculate the best layout/ profits with farming and it’s overwhelming having so many graphs and calculations from other people not recently so I’m unsure if the data is accurate. anyway I’m doing my own calculations and I’m wondering how much produce do you get from each crop? with and without harvest boost. is it correct that say for example one potato or tomato plant will yield 2 potatoes/tomatoes per harvest and 3 with harvest boost? i’m also wondering about apples - I usually always use harvest boost and believe I get 24 apples per harvest (keeping in mind it does take up 9 squares) I understand tomatoes and apples can be harvested more than once, that’s not my question - my question is what is the data for the amount of produce harvested from each plant? many thanks in advance 🙏🏻

Yeah, if you chose Elouisa like I did you got the starred ancient flowbug.
But once you completed the puzzle you could go back to the small temple there and collect the starred version of the fish as well. It will be in a chest.

Hey, i'm really desperate for a raspberry beetle bug. I did like 8 honey lures alone and a few with friends and nothing. At different times of the day. I also got buzzy jars but there wasnt a single rare one near me. Im really really frustrated. Does anyone know a good trick or has the same problem? Is it for the achievement? If so Auni gives you a star one at his friendship quest. And you can ask for a non star once you get a hold of it.

Ur best bet would be to server jump with buzzy jar at 3 am though. Other than that just take the one from Auni 😅

It means you have 9 fertilizers on. A tree uses 9 fertilizers because it is sitting on 9 squares so it will last you 1 day. If you add more fertilizer it will say 18 and it will last 2 days.

You get the same amount of produces, the number just says how much fertilizer is left

It will last you 99 days for a single square. If you have a tree it lasts less.

Yeah. I max up my fert every irl day when I log to 99 and while I play I don't have to bother with it.

I just replace plants if they're grown.

Everything else I do once per day. Get crops add the to preserves, add preserves to worm farm, add fertilizer, sell excess fertilizer and worms. Add to seed maker as well. Sell excess seeds

If I play more I would just get more crops but i don't do the fertilizer/preserve/worm farm thing until next irl day

yes, it's time related. I'm not 100% if the last drops we got have finished. Keep your eyes on the Palia news as that's where they'll announce it.

Nothing that changes the odds. If you are in a party and you’re near another party member, there’s a chance of getting double loot, so you’ll have more chances to get rare materials.

crafters and chests usually don't like being placed on builder blocks or builder floors. they respawn at the front of your plot when the game decides they weren't in a valid placement

Yes, the crafting and cooking will use up the ingredients you have in your character's inventory first before using ingredients from the chest. If you want to ensure certain things won't be used, you can use a lockbox (if you already have access to it)

Also while cooking, like with fish if u highlight the ingredient some will allow u to choose which fish u wanna use.

That's not it. You need regular worm to catch it. It is pink in colour

The moray is an eel. You need glow worm too. The text may be wrong and you should report it.

The only gem u don't wanna sell is ruby due to being super rare but the rest, like: garnets, aquamarines, sapphires just sell. And mine iron and palium only until bag overflows. Mine on both sides of Bahari.

If u have too many stones, trush them to replace with more valuable material (iron) and of course keep palium or gold ore.

As long as you keep growing them, you should be able to get a seed from each variant. Sometimes the water meter doesn't show until you water it but if that doesn't happen then report.

im back again, with broken chat. Ive made a ticket, i sent feedback, ive manually set the time on my PC and restarted palia (as stated in the FAQ as a work around), ive restarted my router, restarted steam, made just all my drivers and stuff was up to date, and alas, chat is still broken for me leaving me to have to restart the game several times just to get it to work. Restarting helps for some people from what I've seen, I had to verify the game files before I could log-in.

From what I gather it seems like if you go into the temple with the bundles and you can still see Jina and Hekla, you can start the quest. If you can’t see them anymore and the room is empty, you are in the sad group (with me 😢) for whom the quest is bugged.

I’ve caught a few butterflies by waiting for groves to spawn, if you got to bahari bay just before 12 a grove will spawn at 12, if you find the grove most of the time a butterfly spawns with it

so i was at the wait for update for the new quest and completed all the things i needed to until this update. but now its asking me to talk to jina at the ruins again? did it reset my quest. i also have a little yellow flag but when i go to it nothing

Yes strange things afoot restarted for everybody. There’s currently a bug with Jina so you can’t start it, but they’re working on it. Some people have experienced problems with returning home but personally I haven’t

i figured it out! ||Enter the temple and go where the giant nest with all the eggs is. You need to go to a small island kinda diagonally across the portal and the big island with the gyroscope looking thing||

hihi, i just started playing palia yesterday. the game was working completely fine yesterday but i have been unable to leave my home today. i am able to load in to the game and to my home but every time i try and leave my home, it just says unable to connect after loading..
