That's a flare (https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Flare_Arrow). Players use them to alert other players of resources. Once they're shot they shoot up from where they hit the ground with a random color that sends smoke from up in the sky down to the ground. They last 3 minutes.

Hi all, I was hunting bugs with a fully repaired fine belt. Guess I worked too hard and it downgraded meanwhile 😦 I tried the worktable to rebuild it, but the recipe is not in there (anymore) under 'tools' button. Is it normal you have to buy the recipe again after a tool downgrades?

The sernuk plushies are drops from the sernuks! 1/1000 for the regular and elder and 1/100 for the proudhorn. Other plushies can be earned from Zeki's lucky gacha, and the chapaa plushies can be obtained whenever the market events come back around.

Flow Tree seeds (specifically) are gained from the ||Galdur Statue|| which you receive ||once you finish the Temple of Roots bundles||.

Should be able to place it on the ceiling when you go to place it on your plot. You can't place them inside of tents, though, and the Pavillions & Courtyards have very specific beams to put them on (same as the main harvest house room).

You should be able to. If it doesn't attach try removing the gridlines with Z. I had to do that when placing the valley lights in my courtyard.

It must be referencing the Palium that you can mine now that you have a fine pickaxe (assuming you upgraded it)!

It spawns around Bahari bay in the same spots as iron stone! It's a bit hard to find and some people take to flaring it when it pops up as a large node because there's not many nodes up on the map at once. An ore compass, once you can make one, is very helpful for finding it if you have a quiet server!

in general:
to have plants you need seeds first
if you don't have any - buy at Zeki's

also you need to place soil on your plot (you get one at the start, later can buy more at Baiduu)
soil needs to be turned into soil plots with the hoe tool

place seeds on the soil plots
water them

they'll grow at 6 am (in-game-time) every day, you need to water them every day (there will be an indicator when you need to do that, it's above every plant) - also you can harvest them at that time

after 1 or more harvests the plants will disappear and you'll need to plant them again with seeds
later in game you can get seeds not only from Zeki but also from a seed dispencer (get it from Baiduu store, you place crops into it and get seeds after a while )

blueberry and apple seeds are not available at the start, you can get them at higher gardening levels

Also there's fertiliser effects, like not needing watering for longer periods, getting better quality crops, etc.
get fertiliser at Zeki's, later from worm farm (obtained from fishing store)
it is placed onto plants the same way as seeds are placed on the soil plots

also, it's better to surround plants by plants of different species (not like: potatoes on the left, carrots on the right - it's better for them to be mixed up) as they might give each other effects like from fertilisers

@rancid atlas @stoic fiber that is an ancient fish, you can fish it with glow worms, killima lake, so whole coast and lagoon, night time I think, and it's epic, so really hard to find and really hard to catch, get all the boosters

to learn the effects that plants give to those around them hover over the seeds in the inventory. There are descriptions, like potatoes - "Grows into one crop of potatoes. Helps keep other nearby crops hydrated"
or I guess you can get those descriptions from wiki

then you can choose some types like potatoes and rice (hydration and growth boost) and mix them into the soil plots

the more types are around every single plant the better

you can buy the first few recipes of each set from tish, then the rest of the set is unlocked through inspiration 🙂

there's a few other sets you can't get from tish, yeah, but i don't think any of them have accompanying accomplishments. some furniture recipes come from the rummage piles, one's through a main story questline, there's one set from reth's register in the inn, there's one at the register at badruu's farm etc.

this i don't remember exactly but probably yeah. the sets do get progressively harder to craft and the dragontide set is one of the hardest so that correlates with the 50 renown

it's because the maxed friendship level for an NPC before was only at level 4...now Zeki, Tish, Reth and Ashura have been upgraded to level 5...i suppose the Shepp thing would be adjusted too....if you reach level 5 with him and still nothing, send ticket to support...Zeki is my Shepp too

I don't know their intent exactly, but my assumption right now is that it's a bug. Which is to say that the shepp isn't supposed to be pushed from 4 to 5. Getting to level 5 could be the current workaround, but it's especially rough considering you can't finish that level 5 quest without ||also hitting level 5 with Tish and Reth||

Sometimes they bug out a bit, but there's a little x next to the progress bar, which reads at 0% when stuck. Use it to cancel the job and try again. It should be okay when you restart it.

it's hard to do solo, there are a lot of steps and ingredients. it's probably the hardest to solo lol. i recommend having at least 1 person help you out

Not that hard to do solo if you have enough experience in cooking.

It’s just a lot of steps, but you have plenty of time.

You can make it solo... just go down list, 2 of each dough, corn. Once you get to the meat, after chopping it, go to mix station, mix those 2 , then to stove cook those 2, making 3 skillets. Then back to chop station, roll mixture on dough, then do final mix, and place in oven. Last 2 before oven are not in order on the list, can throw you off some. But it is very possible to get star quality making solo.

If you are standing where you want to place it, if there are somehow flowers in the way, if the house is already at 15 rooms (14 + the main house - the main harvest house will have the number for you), or if you have 30 buildings/rooms on the plot (top right* has the check for this) then you won't be able to place it. Other issues may occur with people wall clipping of wall decor, but I can't imagine much else would cause this issue.

The last time I tried that on the plot the entire thing bugged. Harvest lamps didn't move and buildings couldn't be moved back as the lamps were there. I had to remove all the buildings and then climb on boxes to remove the lamps that were hanging in mid-air over the plot! It took 2 days to put everything back!

There aren't really any tricks. It's just very rare. You need to be in Kilima fishing in the rivers from 3am-6pm with glow worms. Any of these locations work.

You can get items that give you buffs. For example, fisherman's brew. If you fish next to another person you will get a buff that decreases time between casting and the fish biting.

IF I remember correctly, I had issues with this too, but I think I was looking in the furniture store cash register instead of the store option when talking to Tish. Try that and see if it's available for purchase.

yeah, there was a lot of furniture in the beginning I didn't care for either. The good news is, it doesn't take up storage, and you get a new recipe each time you construct something new.

also at some point before hitting level 10 you'll actually have to make duplicates to hit a level unlocking more recipes. I definitely remember being annoyed by that because I was happily making one of each thing I learned and then ran out of things to make.

Sooo...sometimes I'll put 99 fert on my 6 apple trees, come back from a trip to town or Bahari (not even gone for more than a few in-game hours) and when i get back, some of the trees no longer have any fertilizer on them while the others are still at 99. The fertilizer just vanishes, doesn't appear in my storage or bag or anything.
Not a huuuge deal since its usually just weedblock, but today I harvested everything and planned to start a different garden layout.

I took a break from the game for an hour or 2 before setting up the new farm once I had figured out how I wanted in on the garden planner, but when I got back in game, all my plots looked like they were fert-less.
When I had logged out, 27 of the tiles in the farm had full stacks 99 of water retain fert, and 6 tree-size spots had 90 weedblock fert, so I panicked that all those fertilizers were wasted....

but then i put a random fert on one of the tiles and got back some water ferts. Its weird though because the spots that im picking up water ferts from are not the spots they were previously, theyre like all mixed up so now idk which is which and I am peeved that im gonna have to pick it all back up tile by tile and place 99 on each tile again 😩

Thankfully i just realized i can just put water fert on each tile and it either gives me back whatever other fert was on it, or now shows the correct amount of water ferts yay

I try so many times to do the "plant 5 wild trees at your plot" quest but I fail everytime. I have tried several times to stand by the trees for two days but I often forget to move my character a little and disconnect qwq I also tried removing all other flowers and trees I planted earlier before plating the 5 trees. That has happened a lot lately, try that new unstuck button when you press esc on PC or type in chat /unstuck, the whole thing or it won't work. That should teleport you near the kitchen somewhere. Maybe try not to have anything in the bagpack the one visible row, that worked for some players

@fringe quest you need writs to expand your land. You should be able to put a garden down and you can put things wherever you need or want them but for more crafters you need to go to town hall for writs and craft licenses/permits and to expand your house.

yes they will work on your other plots. just bear in mind the limits for soil plots, chests and crafters are shared across all plots so you can't have a 9 plot garden on one plot AND another 9 plot garden on your 2nd plot for example

those are referencing cakes but can apply to any food, but basically you invite ppl over to your house or you go to there’s, and the host starts the food and everyone present participates (using their own ingredients) towards the meal and gets the same reward

most cake parties are 50+ cakes being made and can take 30min to an hour depending on the amount and how ppl are, you can also host with just one other person so it’s not. a big group

Hi, I think my temple of the gales(?) quests are bugged. The gate is activated but Elouisa's and Caleri's quests are stuck. Not sure how but I know I did some stuff in the wrong order. I collected a bunch of the blue eggs and only then managed to get the three of them (Zeki was also here) upstairs... What do I do now? I've already relogged, that did not fix it. Is it a known issue?

my personal advice with lures is to use them with other people if possible, easier to catch the common bugs quicker so more chances for the rare ones to spawn. if I didn't have someone i know or from here to do them with I just said in server chat that I'm doing one and where and usually at least one-two people would join

Honey lures help in that they spawn anything, but I personally think they're less effective than just running around with a buzzy jar.

Don't take this too seriously, but this is where I've seen them. It's probably a bit too conservative, but I'm also pretty confident that some of the large swathes of the map do not have them

Have you double checked that your switch clock is connected to the correct time? I assume pc works the same way if you artificially set your clock. Just have to make sure it's sync'd with global time.

I don't have issues picking up another statue (or anything else), and the nearby light functions properly. I'm just not getting the prompt at all - it's behaving as if I already pulled a seed today, but I have not. I tried leaving the plot and returning, exiting and restarting the game, and moving the statue quite a bit away from it's original position.

Yeah, I would say it's probably just a bug and will be back tomorrow. Perhaps you grabbed the seed while looking at one of the other statues? Idk where they're placed on your plot, but that's about the only other thing I can think of.

Unfortunately, no. The only way to sort is by the tabs in storage. If you want to sort makers by what's inside, you'll have to do some form of external marker like a flower if you want a visual reminder.

I would say flowers because they're small and there's a great deal of them. Most of the items in game can be quite large or don't have a diverse enough color range to allow for 1:1 marking.

Alternatives could be starstones for things like smelters or sawmills, but that's assuming you have stared stones to place by them.

I tend to sort my crafters by left is the most common quality and right is the rarest. So my sawmills are usually wood, heartwood, flow. My forges are stone/copper, iron/silver, palium/gold. My jam makers are separated by veggies and then jams.

No visual markers, but it's placement that makes me remember.

You could also, if the thing you care about is seeds to sell vs seeds to plant, is put the selling seed makers by the selling bin and the growing seed bins by your garden plot

what do you do when your gardens only produce starred vege's? I don't have any fertilizer or quality boost plants like chili's, but all the normal corn seeds came out as starred, anyone know?

What most people would suggest is selling the starred seeds and buying the base ones again, but I think it may vary depending on the crop. You won't be able to get unstarred crops after a certain gardening level.

I don't know which level exactly it is. Perhaps the wiki could inform you of that? If you need unstarred crops for something, you can always buy them from Badruu's stall at the farm. He does only sell the single crops, though, so no peppers, blueberries, or apples.

once u upgrade ur focus bonus gain at the phoenix statue it will be noticeable

There are 2 focus shrines.
One makes your bar bigger, so you can eat higher focus food.
The other makes the percentage you gain each tick more. So instead of 5 exp you gain 7.5, etc.

if it is one of the characters that have level 5 now, you likely need to do the level 5 quest to get to ask for shepp. i think this is a bug related to the addition of the level 5s

i keep 10 raw flow logs in my chest and refine the rest into planks! and to answer your second question, the heavy sawmill and heavy smelter will work at a much faster pace than their standard counterparts

in addition to the dispell arrow mentioned, there's one furniture lamp that takes 4 and a fireworks recipe. Since it sounds like you're pretty new, just mill them all because planks are used in a ton of furniture recipes.

i’d say maybe try again at a diff spot or how you are using the glider? https://youtu.be/YaQ0IODDBz4?si=6AyT8cComlvlSlVD is a walk thru but you can go to the spot your at and see, and i’d recommend the same for the other gales temple if that’s where you are also at to find a guide, you don’t have to do the temple (so far i think) if you don’t want to, meaning it is “main quest” i guess, you do miss a bit of lore things (and i think some neat things leading into future stuff) and some decor items if you are into decor,

the quests will be there so take a break as needed

I am just really bad at getting the hang of the glider. I've tried from different spots, different angles, but I think it's just something I'm not going to ever get the hang of. Good to know it isn't a main quest. I can deal with missing out on some lore and decor I guess.
