I started playing the switch version on launch day and I've had very few issues. Yay! I'm a slow player but I'm having a ton of fun.

But the last time I logged in, some NPCs talked about something called||"Flow"|| and talked as if I already knew what that meant/was or that we'd talked about it before but I can't remember anyone actually saying anything about it before.

I DO remember there was a dialogue option to choose from Jina (I think) at one point but I choose a different one intending to save the new information for last... But whatever it was I chose triggered a cut scene iirc, so I actually didn't get to do that option at all.

So I guess... Was that it? Did I miss my chance to learn what it is? Did I see the information and forget somehow?

I am just now finished with the ||sliding puzzle across the gorge||, if that helps.

flow is a bit of lore that gets dropped every once in a while by the NPCs. The basic cooncept of it is similar to ||life energy or magic.|| You should hear talk of it again during quests. Especially when you to higher levels of the skills

there isn't a best place anymore, you just have to run all around bahari and hope you find some. it spawns anywhere iron can spawn. if you mine all the stone and iron you see, palium might spawn in those spots later.

180 o.o when you hit them with dispel one will stop running. Only hit that one. I solo it with 4 or 5 dispels.

Did you by chance try to get over to island with the spinner orb? If you did and opened the flow gate there, Zeki & co would have walked through from the main island with nest. Hi, For the quest "old coin" I collected the 3 coins but the last one did not go into my inventory because it was full but it shows me that I recovered the 3 coins but As it is not in my inventory it will not give me the last prophecy of the phoenix

It’s not fun on Switch. But if you are getting red inventory you need to use the + and go into the inventory there to move the red items into your inventory. It’s a big pain. I would also love it if the items were larger. They are hard to figure out. 🤷‍♀️

Gazebo is for housing slots! You can obtain these by going to your house and clicking on the H menu. There is a dropdown at the top to purchase more housing slots- you'll have to buy three of these for 50k, 75k, and 100k respectively. Then, after that, you go to the townhall and buy a gazebo blueprint, take it home, then throw resources in to make it. This counts as a room. (The first gazebo should be free, but some players don't receive it, so better to plan to spend extra than to not plan for it and be disappointed).

But because they had like ZERO direction with this thing, I just went that way too. I floated and fell in the clouds and respawned on orb island.

each Palian day at 12am a flow tree grove spawns in bahari bay, thats the reliable option for flow wood, otherwise people often chop trees in the northern part of bahari and make flow trees spawn, if u are in bahari u sometimes witness people writing "FT" and where one spawned, simply join them helping them chopping it down

You can fish, but the fishing interface will not appear, only the life of the rod, guide yourself with it to fish, I was able to do it like this, it took me about 3 or 4 attempts per fish, but I caught it

you don't NEED focus but it does give you a boost to the xp you earn towards leveling skills

you can increase your base focus and your focus bonus (the amount that goes towards xp) by using renown at the two shrines. I suggest keeping an eye on your renown because it caps at 1000 and any you earn while you have that much is wasted so don't be afraid to spend it.

Yes. If you have played on PC already, when you open Palia on switch for the first time it will ask you to link. Absolutely do not skip this. This is your only chance to link. Otherwise youd need to make a new switch profile on your system and try again I think

Right joystick click should be the ctrl menu to remove stuff

late! but if you click on the right joystick while on your plot, you enter "selection mode" and you can either move things or pocket them! i find this easier than using the housing thing, as you can walk around while moving/grabbing stuff! hope this helpz

Ashura won't give me the recipe. Hodari gave me a bunch including the smelter, but they're not there when I click the worktable. How do I get Ashura to give me the recipe & where do I find the recipes Hodari gave me?

I just got Subira’s unlock cutscene but she’s no where to be found. I waited an in game day and never got any mail or new quests or anything and she isn’t on my map. I checked the inn and she doesn’t have a room assigned to her, I’m assuming it’s the room upstairs across from Ashura’s? If not idk. What do I need to do to interact with her?

I think I just discovered the issue, maybe he didn't actually give me them & they just showed as a list to buy. I just noticed this with Ashura (the quest showed the wrong level). Important dialog showed after reaching foraging level 3, despite the quest saying level 2.

the quest doesn't show the wrong lvl tho, the guild stores open once u reach lvl 2 in a skill

Hey all. I was wondering... do we know all the winterlights items we can get from the rummage piles etc? Are we garenteed to get them all? I have been getting lots of duplicates which is fine. But then yday I got a new rug. And it made me think, are there items I am missing?? Thank you for any help you can all give.

@rough walrus Im wondering this aswell, been getting the same item 4 days in a row (missed a couple of days in between so that could be why) but i know for certain that im missing some items. But i think the only way to check if your missing something is to go look at the update and see what items they have added. How to get them all tho im not sure

I am doing that now. I am definitely missing the Snowy Ormuu Rug. I got the Jolly one yesterday which is how I realised i didnt have all the items 🙂

I seem to have everything apart from that rug. I have collected the pile every day.

I've gotten all of them luckily while doing it daily since it was patches in, it seems "xmas" stuff has priority to drop but yes duplicates happens so in theory it looks like it is possible to miss out depending on how much time (unless they make a change when they are back after their break).

I also wonder why the Snowy Ormuu Rug and Jolly Ormuu Rug dont come with a recipe. The rest seem to I think

I kinda wish when we got an item we would get the recipe for it as there are a few items we are given I would like dupicates of. 🙂

Okay im missing more than i thought 🤣 been trying to do it daily as much as possible but, ive gotten the Mitty gloves 4 times and the snow shoes 2 times and some of the rugs a couple of times too, so i think all the items ive have got there has been a duplicate.. kinda sad tbh when there is so many items

Thats a shame. I am just missing the one item. I have ocd and am kind of a completionist. Its also typical that the Snowy Ormuu Rug is the one I really wanted. I keep seeing it in the tavern haha

Romance gifts are different

Heartdrop Lily and Box of Chocolates are for Romance. If you gift them their usual weekly Likes, it increases their friendship only

You can buy the harvest house in Town Hall front desk, very last item
I bought one but wasn't able to place it down. Pretty sure the harvest house is just a duplicate of the one Kenji gives you in the beginning of the game, and can only be used on a different version of your plot (can't have more than one, and you got one for free)

Instead I'd wager maybe there isn't enough space of the house to add on the room? Perhaps a hallway first?

Also: Romance gifts are on a weekly limit (one real life week) - so you gotta keep flirting with them
