i don't know where to post it, but i found a nice thing about gardening that i want to share:

there can only be 9 weed on your feld at the same time. so if you don't mind about some crops you can force the weed there and use the buffs from the plants below.

for example in this setup i use potatos and wheat for buff the apple trees and the weed can never pop on a tree because they are already on a few potatos/wheat

Well now I am confused. I originally asked if using starred seedns gave starred crops (without fertilizer) and I was told no. But at level 25 gave you a 66% chance, without fertilizer. To me that means up until level 25 I might as well use the starred crops for jam and just stick to using fertilizer.

I remember reading that someone placed down 2000 pieces of fencing in an unbroken line and they could still place furniture. Saying that every unbroken line of fencing counts as only 1 item.

So from farming I mostly get star quality crops, but for cooking I mostly need regular ones, since I don't have enough star quality spices like garlic, spice sprouts etc. When I click 'use star quality ingredients' it doesn't mix with star ones. Instead it only uses star ones.
I tried picking spices like crazy to get enough star ones - didn't work
I tried using not fertilizer on my field + regular seed bags - didn't work

i'm not aware of any bugs about that tbh, you might just be getting unlucky RNG seems it seems to be random when it comes up instead of the NPC's other generic lines. i've only seen a few of the comments for the people whose pins i'm wearing
