Funnily enough I've caught my starred Ancient Fish super fast, but the Giant Kilima Stingray really gave me problems. That one didn't want to bite neither starred nor regular.

I liked fishing when it was faster but now it's slow and it feels like they reduced the catch rate for waterlogged chests. I used to get a ton before but now almost none (and I only really fished for the furniture)

Hello, i have trouble with the whalebone. Ive had 4 very easily and jina wants another one. Ive been fishing for 5 days now only catching shipwrecks and normal chests ( the waterlogged ones with furniture).

Hunting. I see that you don't like fishing, but fishing is far more lucrative, per catch, even on worms, than a single sernak. Even better if you fish off the "hot spots" for starred, or get a more uncommon fish, plus there are only 2 basic animals to hunt; you have to wait for them to respawn; it's very expensive to hunt the magic ones (then you have to mine to get more ores and wood to make more arrows) meanwhile, my worm farms are making more worms...while I'm fishing. Even the "no bait" option gives better than value than most hunted beasties...even with some nerfs. Mottled Gobi with glow worm is 85 gold. Not. One. Hunt. Drop = 85 gold and I can fish up gobi as long as I've got bait.

I've yet to document "hardcore" fishing but as far as my "fish hunt" adventures go it was about 3-8k/hr depending bait and RNG.
While hunting gets me 10k/hr solo and 25k/hr duo

All that while I can sell all the worms my farms produce adding to the total amount

And you have to wait for critters to respawn, or someone spooks them off. And run all over the landscape. I've fished up 3 x Ancient fish. Not in the same hour of course. But one extra special fish is worth more than one sernak hide, which is all you sometimes get hunting = 13 gold?? is it?. Or one piece of meat...I only hunt for meat and hide usage. Waste of HOURS spent trying to get either copper or iron to make more arrows. You're not calculating how much time it takes to replenish your stock. All I've got is repair on the rod, if I so wish...But people love hunting, and it's their game, that's fine by me.

i wanted to redo my house and change up the layout. so i right clicked my builldings and when the message "pickup all items from this house?" came up, i clicked yes.
but now i am missing a few items. as far as i can tell it's only starred cooked meals. this, by itself, is not such a big deal since i can just cook them again. but it also includes 4 starred halo halo desserts from the market 😭

This is for the rainbow butterfly? I finished my hunt for a star one, and can say that it is very streaky. Lures are ineffective, generally. This is the path I borrowed from someone here - starting at 3am when things despawn.

when you use a harvest booster how much should i be gaining? i max out 99 and i seem to be only get 1 extra?

You can stack multiple fertlizers for convenience (of the same type!), but it only uses one each time. The harvest boost will give you 50% more each harvest (so 2 becomes 3, 1 more). But it will consume one fertilizer each tick (ticks: 3 for rice, 4 for wheat, 5 for corn)

Here's the notes I gave my community:

Rainbow butterfly - the key is to get to the start position before 3 am. At 3am, the night bugs will disappear, and the morning bugs will show up.

Use a buzzy jar, seriously.

And if you want, you can use the buzzy jar ~2:30 am and get the stonehoppers and stuff out of the area.

Rainbow has a pretty large aggro range and is hard to see, so if in a group, smoke candles or staying very close is important.

Try until 6am, after that your odds drop dramatically. It's pretty much 0% by 9am.

You can server jump (and SHOULD). If you feel alt-f4 is cheesy, you can run to the transports to go back to kilima, and back. Keep in mind, buzzy jar keeps ticking while offline, but you can hit 2-3 servers in the 3 hours gametime you have.

Don't both competing with others. See them doing bug catching or hunting? Change servers before 3am.

I do think it's a mistake to not have a renown sink - like black market. The maji market showed me how valuable having a sink, even a very expensive one, is. They are missing that... cause lucky coins don't cut it 😄

I don't want to sound mean but people refuse to read quests and just want everything spoon fed. Do we lower everything in game to lowest possible denominator. There has to be some sort of happy medium life. right? Fishing and catching the rare bugs is hard and hard for a reason. With no challenges the game would be boring.

I would be all in on a system that gives you better odds each time you fail. I have no clue how you do that as the system has no idea what you are trying to catch, fish or bug. I guess they just need to make the rng percent better.

If you did the Maji Marker events and received a recipe from that event chances are you will not be ablee to fish up Sushi. If you are new you probably can. People are fishing it up.

Oh, on this, hard disagree. This is a social game, in which people have more and less, based on effort. Nicer homes, or more money, or bundles, or collections, or whatever the person enjoys. To give anyone an advantage effectively changes that fundamental truth.

Event exclusive recipes and items are not unique to Palia and while unfortunate for those who miss it, it's not Palia making some unique poor choice, very common in MMOs for there to be event locked items that will come back around when the event does. They also like the community it causes having to share recipes.

This is a known bug when you are offline for an extended period of time.

Your only option is to wait for patch. You can place more crafters if possible to use while you wait but otherwise it's a waiting game. We * should* be due for a patch tomorrow.

Ok, I know this is totally a "first world Palia problem" but pretty much all of my crops are star quality when I harvest them. I kinda just want to stock up on regular quality so I can easily cook recipes. I'm only getting 1 or 2 regular quality items. Just wanted to ask if this is a thing other people are noticing or if I'm doing something "wrong"?

I'm having the same issue. Mostly because anytime you ONLY have starred grown crops, the gatherables sometimes, not always, also have to be starred, and starred gatherables, like spice sprouts, are relatively rare. I find it irritating.

I cannot proceed the cooking recipe unless THEY ARE ALL STARRED, and if I don't have starred Morel mushrooms, it's Forget this, go and kill a chapaa. Or, unless they are all NOT STARRED, Depending.

May be due to some the crops you are growing together, and the seeds. If you’re using star quality seeds and\or growing crops that have the quality booster, that may be why you’re getting a bunch of start quality goods.

To get more storage, you'll want to upgrade to copper chests, which are at the register in Tish's store (not from Tish herself). The first upgrade is a recipe for 25,000 and there's an iron one after. Outside of that, the only option is 3 lockboxes, which store 100 each but hide the item from being crafted with etc.

Not sure if this is the best place to report bugs, but all of my achievement progress keeps getting wiped out. The ones that I've completed show completed, but (for example) all the bugs I've caught are grayed out.

known bug, no fix. It's a visual bug, so your progress isn't really lost, but it's annoying. You also won't be able to request items you didn't get in your current play session.

also, the renown cap is troubling since alot of what we could've gotten can't be returned (unless they do return em) and you will be so high level with the same renown unlocks as a lower level player later on :/

bcs it takes time to identify the concrete cause of the bug and develop a fix that don't crash the game its not just one button they have to press and the game is magically fixed

All of the machines should offer a STOP job option and yet none of them do. Anyway something to consider for the devs. You really should not let these kind of issues plague the game. Many people are unhappy about it.

and I know it's not just one button to press to fix it, I am a dev in other environments.
