The heartbreak when first placing the fishing guild aquarium to see that it can't be customized with our starred fish and instead had microscopic anchovies inside it.

Nope, it's prefilled with a few bugs and butterflies, but at least you can see them from a distance inside it. The aquarium the fish are comically small for the size of the tank. It's like tadpoles in a swimming pool.

For now, yeah, they're as is. But them being customizable is a longtime request that will hopefully be listened to.

I know they are gonna give us the jam rewards this time even though we came up short at 21m. But I cannot help but feel that if the rewards aren't good enough, the incentive for people to participate isn't there.

With bugs, you could drop a lure and everyone could actively be engaged and participate, collaboratively, collectively.....

With Jams. It's just you. No one can help you. And even if you put away your furnaces, sawmills, there are still limited licenses to put out jam makers. And there's a real world time delay element to making them.

TLDR. It sort of felt like a unfair event from the start.

My biggest issue with this event (outside of rewards) was that it didn't really provide a chance for gameplay with others.
Insectapalooza allowed people to group up for lures OR hunt bugs solo if they wanted to.
Jamboree didn't provide any meaningful co-op activities beyond having a friend over to water your garden for 30 seconds.

My hope is that future events will provide more chances to actually group up in game to work towards a goal, rather than everybody working towards something seperately at their own plots.

We definitely hear you there! We want to try to create events with all playstyles in mind. There were a fair amount of folks that do prefer to contribute solo and aren't as big on the grouping up aspect. There's also folks who prefer to contribute and also work on other things (as you can do with running preserve jars). But we want to try to create events with all playstyles in mind... one specific event might not be one persons cup of tea playstyle wise, but the next one might 🙂

I deffo prefer fishing on pc but it needs to be changed on controller especially for qol reasons like I'm embarrassed to admit it but it pushed me to the point of sitting there crying in pain with my hands and fingers because of the way the fish move it's horrible doing a lot of these rarer fish with a controller with things like arthritis and I hate crying makes me feel like a baby

Yeah cooperative elemebts are lacking in both social events and the game as a whole. Everytging just about can be done solo and while there are benefits there isn't much beyond shared loot or bonuses in parties. So it's severely lacking in the co op department right now.

Some folks don't enjoy bug catching, or catching bugs with others, but plenty of others did for insect-a-palooza.

Needless to say, we do want to try to make events that cater to different playstyles. And we have a variety of events on the horizon... some that are right around the corner 🙂

yea thats fair, thats the one thing i dont like fishing and hunting in all honesty is that they are both mechanically involved skills, you really need to get a hang of tracking and leading your targets and if have like any hand dexterity issues, you are screwed, at least in fishing since with hunting, you can just party up with other and as long as you stick close to one another, you all get the loot but with fishing, i cant really help anyone beyond giving them the advice of using the boosts and just practice on getting better with the fishing minigame

I guess my point is that the previous event felt like it had equal opportunities for both solo and co-op playstyles to contribute, while this one was great for solo play but didn't give players who prefer co-op much of an option. Overall very happy that S6 is continuing to experiment with these events though, just hoping a better balance is struck in the future is all!

Most of the time it is quite simple common fish move at a reasonable speed no jumping and don't move that much but for the harder fish they jump as soon as they hit the water and they move faster then what some people are physically capable of moving and then yes because you can't group get the fish it makes it very complicated especially when fish are needed for a quest

Could you possibly poke the team about a guild store refresh? Turn the various guild stores into renown sinks for players to trade 100 renown for 10 skill medals, 500 for 50, etc. and adding new items to buy in them as well.

So many players are at or near renown cap and this would be really nice to have.

tbh the best solution i found was just running around from each freshwater source constantly in a circle. once u exhaust all the fishing nodes in one spot, run to the nearest one, rinse and repeat until u form a full circle. by the time u get back to the original spot, the fishing nodes have prolly respawned

so i have to say how disappointed i am in palia... so when the Halloween stuff started i was excited for it all... and decided i would purchase the Hallows grove plot scenery... so i purchased palia coins and was excited to go make the purchase... upon trying to purchase Hallowed Grove i see like alot of stuff here its broke... so i came asking for help... i was told to write a ticket for help... so i did... and after reposting updates like lots they finally asnwer the ticket so say sorry they never answer and the since i havent updated the ticket that they thinki somehow fixed thand they answered the tick now on the 30th of oct saying that they hope everythings ok ... this is a ticket i turned in a month ago hoping to get the Halloween plot scenery for halloween.... its very sad how they did absolutely nothing and still aint fixed the broken halloween things and seem to not care 1 bit... is this how palia players are always treated? just wondering? :/

Fixed an issue where star-quality apples were not being recognized in recipes.
Curtains can now be placed on most walls as intended.

They did fix the things you mentioned, plus many more. So yet again, besides the fact that you are unhappy about one customer support issue, why are you carrying on?

Yeah one annoying thing about light sensitivity it ain't even because of lack of qol it's a stupid issue that even barely stops with dark mode

I'm hoping to get a oled monitor soon tho which will make things so much better
