Nooooo, don't break up with anyone you've romanced. The romance level will reset to zero and then if they add additional levels later, you'd have to start over. Just remove their pins if you've applied any and ignore them until they have new content.

The thing is their daily dialog changes—the audible lines when you begin a conversation—when you romance them (atleast I think so, Reth and Jel seem to sound more flirty and dreamy, respectively), so you'd still notice a difference

Tbh, I don't see that as much of an issue. I can't handle cooking or fishing for long periods of time, so those are out in terms of money making, so gardening is my only realistic source of enough income to afford new addons for my house or decor

Oh same. I really only use my kitchen for sushi, sashimi, or quest required food. The majority of recipes are kind of overwhelming to do solo. and fishing I can only do short sessions of as well.
but even still... say they doubled the garden plots... I'd hit level cap within a few months. and we still need more things to buy with renown.

My kitchen is mostly just a decorative room tbh. I only cook when absolutely needed or if it's a really simple recipe. With fishing, my sight is far too bad to be fishing for more than really easy fish

I don't think they have to double the soil cap, but 9 is still low. With more garden space/more crops comes more effort it takes to deweed, water, and fertilize each crop. Imo that balences it

My plot is a sorta abandoned homestead in a "haunted woods" (aka just particularly flow-infused and piksii-infested) that my character is refurbishing into a home/lab, and the lack of proper garden space is kinda a big issue. My current setup looks more like a community garden rather than a self sustaining farmstead

Some general tips I've found work well (if done right):

• Don't be afraid to make it messy. If you're making a forest, it's not just trees and bushes everywhere—have some clearings with fewer trees and more shrubs/ferns/flowers
• Cottages are typically built out of simple(r) materials, like wood and stone. Shingle rooves and stone foundations work very well, especially when combined with an accent wall of bare planks
• Paths will make you go insane. Don't be like me, have your pavers be more spaced out

A lot of people have issues when they accept a party invite, where it comes up with something about that you can't be added to the party.
But when you go to a different area (for example from your plot to Bahari) you are suddenly in a party with the person the system said you couldn't join the party of (in most cases)

So, usually if you've recently pet your animal, there will be a status effect with a little timer that tells you how long they won't gain happiness from petting for. You can usually pet them every day-ish for some XP but doing it multiple times per visit won't yield any further results.
If they don't have that effect when you interact with them then you should be able to get XP from petting them 😊

It's tricky to say what is and isn't useless because some rarer items may be needed for quests later on! Usually what I do is hoard what I collect and then sell my excess stuff if my storage is getting full. I particularly sell a lot of mushrooms, ammo I don't like (fireworks, slowdown arrows, etc.) and extra fertilizer from my worm farms. Each player uses certain things day to day, so if you find that a resource doesn't fit your needs sell it!

in theory the black pearl is easier since all you have to do is find elder clam mushrooms and pray to rng that you get one, for the mermaid, you have to be good at fishing and also pray to rng that the game will spawn it to you

Just encountered something odd. Got to Bahari Bay at like 1AM to find the grove. Not sure an actual grove spawned, but at around 3AM, there were flow trees everywhere. I mean everywhere, you would cut one and see 2-3 more at first. We just finished going through the whole map - a few of us on the server, most of us weirded out. It’s 4PM in the game and I think we’re finally done with them, I’ve collected over 170 flow wood. There was also an unusual amount of gold nodes and I think other resources. Has anyone had this happen before? It was amazing!

I submitted a suggestion regarding fireworks. It shouldn't be a request of 20 for the dragon fireworks or the ones from lunar new year. dragon fireworks are 2000 tickets each. And 20 amber? No. I have done it one time for a new player in my community. It took awhile to rack up that much amber of one type to help her get a good start.
