Fishing sucks bc there's no way to do it w/o relying on vision. Sure there's a (faint) audio cue on when to hook the fish, but when reeling it in you're screwed. Which is awful because I'm functionally blind w/o my glasses and I don't always have them on

i wish i could enjoy fishing because the game kinda forces you to do it for so many things, but my reflexes and wrist just do notttt like the mechanism for the harder to get fish. the easy ones are fine, but like i don't think i'll ever be able to catch a maws or mermaid just because they move too crazy. even with buffs lol

yeah my reaction time is where i suffer with the harder fish. fisherman's brew helps sometimes but i still lose them like 50% of the time. i can't imagine sight impairments on top of that 😭 i wish the devs could try to make fishing a bit more accessibility friendly.

i wish, at the least, they could add a hook that can "instant catch" fish or something, or make reel in significantly easier. that way you'd have to either buy it with medals or craft it, and still deal with rng, but it would at least give people who struggle a bit a better chance

Some things to try are restarting game (a few times), revisiting the board, complete other quest first and come back to it. Increase your friendship level with Najuma. Just suggestions. Maybe one will trigger the outro.

Farming cotton is really slow. Farming silk is pure luck based. So, furs are the best and most regularly available resource. But you have to hunt chapaas to get it. Hence, the arrow shortage being alarming.

if it's still really early in-game where you don't have a pretty constant flow of copper bars for the standard arrows, the regular chapaas in kilima should only take one makeshift arrow to loot them. those require just sapwood and flint to craft, which are easy to get by chopping trees and hitting regular rocks.
this game is very progression based. it's a bit of a steep incline to earn money at first, but once you get things going, it becomes a lot easier!

This is a true story that I will share here as succinctly as possible 😆 I was fishing in the EW waiting for my Hubs to shower and get online to party up. I got 2 plushies back to back (my first xl shark fin and my second lake fin). Hubs comes back and logs in and he’s mad that he didn’t get any plushies when he was fishing while I was in the shower before him. Oh well. We go to Kilima together to fish. We start in Mirror Pond then decide to move to the small pond by the farm. I hit a few chapaa’s along the way and I got my first chapaa plush! Hubs was too far away for party buff and misses it. He’s mad again. We eventually decide to go fish in mayor’s backyard…I get yellow koi plush and Hubs gets no plush. He’s very mad now. He complains that I’m getting all the plushies…this is true. We decide to go unload at home then go into Bahari to hunt. I’m waiting for Hubs in Bahari while he’s tending to his garden, and again hitting a few chapaa’s and sernuks. I get my first sernuk plush! Hubs is not there. Hubs is mad again. He leaves his garden and starts sprinting to where I am in Bahari. I hit a chapaa while laughing and he’s sprinting…I see him on my map but he’s still far away…and I get another chapaa plush. Hubs is still not close enough to me. He’s big mad now. We hunt azure chapaa’s and we get our first azure chapaa plush! Woo hoo! Hubs is slightly less mad now but still upset. We go back home to unload before going back to the EW…when Hubs gets back to his house…it’s been ransacked lol. All his plushies are in front of his house and on their sides. No explanation. Hubs is now distraught. I am laughing diabolically. I have no real evidence except this picture but I promise this is a true story 🤣 The end. I’m still laughing by the way. And Hubs is still mad. Epic Palia night.
