Sharing my rtb method for those in need.
Go to Hideaway Bluffs just before 3am
Activate the buzzy jar right at 3am or a few ig minutes before that
Run around, catching all blue butterflies (you don't have to pick them off the ground) and going to all buzzy jar pings
If it's a rare bug, scare it and don't bother
If it's an epic bug, gg

since the last update I no longer have any footstep sounds, have lost the pickaxe and flare sounds, and the inventory pages jump about. But the tools are the worst. they will either engage and get stuck (like the watering can), or disengage without prompting (fishing rod). My bow will fire without me pressing, and my axe and pickaxe keep swinging even though there's nothing to chop/hit.

I tell ya, the game is super quiet without footsteps 😄

It's already been established that the vast majority wants literal endless quests, because we've been given those things, and the majority weren't satisfied. No matter what the development team does, it's going to be considered " filler ", you can't reason people out of their preferred way to enjoy the game, outside of quests, palia is deemed boring.

I'm saying people's expectations are not that the game will lose structure, it's the expectation that quests has to be the focal point, and endless, monthly updates to keep them invested.

Which is not proportionate to what the game has to offer in its entirety. The disappointment comes, because when elderwood releases, those particular expectancies will still not be met, and after two weeks, a month at the most, it'll be like the game regressed or reverted back to it's 2023 variant.

for the most part, all recipes require 2 of every cooking station, so unless you plan on making a cooking plot for like a cooking party, you dont need to go overboard

Having two of each station should be enough to cook most dishes in game. Depends on which recipe and how big you want to host a party for that specific recipe adding more stations accordingly
Or simply just put extra to fit with the theme.
Be noted that stations count towards universal count across all plots.

Here is my set up for cake parties, for focus food parties I swap the three mixing benches in the first picture for four stoves. This covers all recipes fairly well, the only thing it's not great for is full scale cake/profit parties (not my speed anyway).

Paliaparty is your best bet, it has pre-made layout structures for all types of food parties and it shows which step does which thing at which station- making it easy for hosts to reference how many of each cooking station you'll need

It is a matter of luck, some people get one really unexpected earlier on and some takes quite a bit, my advice is collect & save as many oysters as you can 300 + at a time, then open them up ...You will get it eventually, just don't give up.

I didn't know you could make them better.. just figured a storage chest was a storage chest.. although, in hindsight. That makes sense.

Other tricks and tips to help your storage before you might be able to save up for the upgrades:

• store stuff in your processors and crafters!
• if you have worm farms, storing stuff and processing stuff in there is a good way to clear extra inv space for things like raw oyster meat, grilled fish, or grilled meats from hunting
• make sure you have seeders going as soon as you're able, they take a while to process so they act as a good storage slot each for produce that you'll need anyway for replanting (and profits! Some seeds sell better than their preserves)

"New Slot" is the one that you also have available that you can swap to.

Some people also like to make, "Ikea Plots", where they will put 1 of each furniture down to properly view them all. (or just access them easier).

Well, "Default Plot" just means it's the one you started with and see at the start. You can rename it to whatever you want. You can also display whichever housing plot you'd prefer, too!

Also you can restrict who is allowed on your plots. So on my tree harvesting one I don’t allow visitors to chop anything.

And any other housing plots you end up getting, the one that says "New Slot"-- is again, just the default name and that you can rename to whatever you'd wish. You can have that one to display instead. It's just a clean slate, and is empty.

lvl 4 friendship for them to be your shepp, yes. and you have to do their lvl 4 friendship quest.

it's always been lvl 4, so idk why that would of worked at lvl 3.

yea tbh i’d like that it mattered, but if they did that there’d have to be a “i don’t want you as my shep anymore” thing and maybe you have to restart reputation with another (kinda like if you broke up romance wise) cuz a lot of ppl chose their sheps by mistake

In the end, it's not possible to 100% share a plot. You can give friend's editor's rights, which only allows them to move things around
