As soon as you don't have any buffs, it reverts to normal size. So if you're in a party and near your party member, or if you've been fishing near others, eaten food that helps with fishing, or using a compass... long focus bar.

I keep trying to either go into temple of gales to finally complete carrying the Galdur around for sight seeing or through the back way to my house, and the game will load for just a little bit before immediately crashing

While I haven't tested with nameplates and names it makes sense, for the exact same reason it happens with buff. We did a bunch of testing a few days ago. It seems focus bar scales along with certain elements in that part of the UI. Out of curiosity, is the focus bar about the same length as your name + nameplate?

But yeah, what we found the other day is that it gets longer when you add a buff. Seems the buff area requests a minimum amount of space, and the focus bar picks up on that and grows to match that minimum size.

Well if you get 1 chappa each is 15 envelopes, you normally get 200-250 tickets just from grabbing one, you need to grab 7 to get over 100 tickets from chapaas themselves.

A tip for climbing- jump before you start the climb, so that you're like, leaping onto the wall spider monkey style. If you get locked onto the wall, try jumping directly sideways or pressing x to dislodge and start from a different beginning climb point

I mean, if you're trying to snatch the previous discard someone had it could make sense. Taking the top discard hoping another player snatches their new discard leaving the one below open, that's a fair tactic... but nope.

That's fair. Even on PC I've misclicked too, I imagine it's much easier to misclick on switch. It just happened to like 8 out of 10 moves from that player. For at least 3 games of hotpot. I can't get that to align with misclicks.

i also use a cancel method so normally when they game would say no you can trick it into thinking that theres nothing there and you can place items in places you normally can't
alot of users also post clips in #🏡│decor but the tiny dragon does go into detail so i like that aspect

It took me way too long to notice myself. You still have to be fairly near but still. The sounds they've chosen feels more like background noise though, and probably easily mistakable for the sound that nearby cash registers may make (why do cash registers make a noise?!)

It was a limited run thing that was never really properly implemented. If you were around thena and got the reward, you can plant it and use it for a handful of dishes. If not, bad luck

That's fair. Bellflower one (assuming you mean the curtains and not the new drapes?) I've always struggled to get to look good in my builds, but it definitely has a neat look. I'm having issues with most all of the new curtains really. It's either really tall, and/or can only be placed high (sometime way too high).

Does anyone know what the deal is with the fishing buff food items? Before the update they used to tell you what buff you got, but now they just say "tasty sashimi" or "tasty trout dinner", etc. Even fisherman's brew just says "fisherman's brew" where it used to tell you the buff. Do they still give you the same buffs as before?

i got my wish ribbon from my mailbox, I dyed it, I put it on the tree at the altar, there’s a cut scene. But to the left of Chayne there’s a kiosk to “retreive wish”. Why would I want to?

i didn't know how wish ribbons functioned because i went to the shrine that said i needed a dyed ribbon, then meandered around to figure out the dye station needed a ribbon, and then didn't get my mail for like 4 mail cycles. the quest kind of tells you, but so long as the game has a flawed system to deliver the mail you need to make wishes in the first place, it's not great. if chayne gives you one in person the first time you interact with him at luna new year that year, it'd be a much easier learning experience.

even something as simple as chayne saying "i have some wish ribbons left over after sending all of the invitations. you can make a wish right now, and starting tomorrow, you will receive more by mail" would be so impactful

there isnt shared housing in palia, you can be a editor but all you can do it place items made by the plot owner, you can not use your own items

you can change permissions; have your missus open the housing mode (press H on PC, or press on L stick on switch), then click the gear icon at the top of the screen. there, you can be given permissions to edit!

Im not for sure who i message or which one to post on but ever since the new update I've not been able to water my trees on my plot 😭 I've also been having issues with my tools loading sometimes they won't pop up and I can't use them at all. I'm on the switch.

yeah, most of the time when sunsetting is happening, companies like to call it a "gradual shutdown" to make it understandable to as many people as possible, but it more often means eventually it'll lead to a total shutdown instead of an archive
