But I also had a buzzy jar activated and normally when groves first spawn, a bunch of rare bugs will also spawn with it. And that's what made me turn around is suddenly the buzzy jar located like, 6 rare bugs at once

It's only a community rule, sometimes people are in a rush, or can't read chat because of being on switch and the like. People sometime have a lack of understanding these days and considering flow trees are very easy to find, it really shouldn't be a big deal

if you plant a starred seed, you will most likely get starred fruits.
also star fruits will sell for more and make better quality better selling jams as well.

You could just toss the non star in preserves for now, as your lvl grows you will have less of those.
