For reference, this is what I did for the Bahari Coast biome. Still debating on whether to add crabs or not (in which case one is going straight in the water). But it turned out rather large, so think I need to be a bit more moderate on other biomes.

For ponds I was thinking a smaller water feature, still water, surround it primarily with grimalkintail and green plants. So really just trying to figure out what water feature to use.

it’s a game in which there is nothing to be nervous about at the start! if you get rull serious about it… ymmv. so just play and have fun c: the stress comes later.

except lots of stuff costs money at first and it can be difficult to make money. so make frens here and ig and it will feel difficult but u will have lots of ppl to lean on!

Opinion time re. the pond idea. Surround with grimalkin tails flowers like some ponds in the game. But for the water feature, if it came down to these two alternatives, do I go with sinking a makeshift bird bath into the ground so only the top peeks through (like I simulated in the pic with builders blocks)? Or do I go for a small bellflower fountain that is turned off?

The bellflower one is in a way more beatiful, but also torn because maybe it is too much of a "centerpiece" and takes away the attention from the surroundings. After all, the idea is a bug showcase.

Someone on Reddit said they’d rather get this one below - and honestly I agree if we were limited to a choice of in-game assets lmao - I’d even prefer the actual portrait icons you see on the relationships tab, since again, it’s not some awkward full body pic that’s giant on my wall. But placement ways, I just wish they'd just make two variant: a wall pic version and a desk pic. It does look better in many ways than the current romance one. Honestly wish pics and frames were separated, in that you'd primarily have a frame object, then you can change what picture is in the frame. Get a consistent style in your house if you want to while still having different pictures.

You know, missed opportunity for a 8 second cutscene of player and romance partner together, and somehow the picture of romance partner being made. Just as an example, player and Reth going on date together going to a painter, Reth standing still while being painted, player lobbing grapes on Reth to throw him off while he has to stand still for painter. Different cutscenes per partner that would be appropriate for them of course.

Yeah, so tl;dr: It was supposed to be filtered for having too many duplicate characters, but another setting took over and mistook you for sharing personal info (such as addresses). When that happens, if a mod doesn't immediately notice it, you can Modmail us, so we can fix it. 🙂

i played it religiously in the beginning, had so many friends join, hunt flow trees, cooking parties, running around doing fetch quests it was good fun, and the lore is so interesting, but we just got to a point like 4 months ago where everything just stopped. "free to play and beta" stopped really becoming an excuse for the amount of party/connect bugs kept happening given the ammount the premium shop was raking in, im in australia and even i dropped like 100 or so due to conversion into it, and with the amount of cosmetics people were playing with i figured the team would take that and go full force into developing the game, but its just stopped, and this isnt to say theyve done nothing, i 100% appreciate the work theyre currently doing im sure theyve done alot, maji market, moving hotpot over to bring in more of a financial economy in game, balancing things ect, but i play for story and theres just nothing, no hints on upcoming story, im not expecting final fantasy XIV lore, but anything other than oh ROMANCABLE CHARACTER just for something different

As I’ve had more and more dialogue with characters, I’ve noticed I’ve been flickering to water and air a lot more, bc fire answers are sometimes completely air-headed (wrong element, badum tss) and no braincells, but then Earth and often air are just SO rude, and water can be quite dismissive of things sometimes too, so I seem to only pick those answers when fire ones are completely unrealistic and the others aren’t rude 😂 😭 (sorry for the wall of text and I hope this made sense bc I’m so tired)

Re.: teleporting chapaas, teleporting players, and chapaas caught from 20 feet away. There is always a chance someone is cheating, but most likely it's lag and corrections on the server. Like players in reality being closer to the chapaa (and thus catching them) than you realise simply because the updates from the server haven't reached you fast enough so it looks like they are further away.

Aye, there are some very blatant cheating. Some prediction code can do whack stuff though. Doesn't help that the location and rotation of actors are probably compressed when sending over network. Explains the whole thing of people seeing other players teleport into terrain and back, getting stuck on small obstacles when they aren't actually stuck and what not... and some "teleporting".

If they are following the example of the built-in character movement component of UE, then that explains a lot of the rubber banding I've seen. Reducing precision of number when sending over network... good most of the time, but when we're talking millimeters between getting over a ledge and rounding errors suddenly has an effect.

The time needed depends on what kind of hotfix it is. If it can be fixed by changing a single value in a database and maybe restarting server, then yes, it's fairly quick. If it is a deeper hotfix (which seems likely considering the host of problems people have had the last couple of updates) then it's gonna be a longer update.

Hotfix doesn't automatically imply short downtime. Just usually implies "this was important enough that we needed to get this update out before our regular schedule"
