Totally anecdotal, but they’re usually in chaapa land. I never really see them between 9 am and 3 pm ig. Then from where Hodari stands at the mines entrance, across the place in front of the lighthouse, and all the way over to that small ledge with the campsites on it, I’ve seen them between 3 pm and 6.

I’ve never seen a starred one other than grove after the 3 am spawn tho.

Flow tree grove c: there is one epic spawn there each time — either a bug (rainbow, fairy mantis, ancient amber beetle, jewelwing) or a magic animal. A lot of people get their starred rainbow at grove, but I’ve personally only seen it once, so I think I’m bad starred grove luck lol.

Sure! I think lots of people have a find the grove method. Probably the easiest one is to stand at a fast travel point and use a dowsing rod? I’ve never tried it but heard it works. Personally, I stand at the top of Pavel mines (where it sometimes spawns) and basically have trained my ear to be able to approximate where it is. It’s usually in northern Bahari but outskirts grove is really the only place where I’m not consistently the first person there (prob bc it’s where you emerge from your plot.)

I've definitely sent feedback before about allowing us to change enclosures for our starred bugs. For instance, when placed in Edit Mode, they're in the glass enclosure, but give us also the option to right click on said enclosures that allows them to roam around the plot. And then when we want to place them back in the glass enclosures, simply go back into Edit Mode and click on the insect.

The fish tanks are difficult for me to decorate because of their large and bulkiness, so I only have about 5 or so placed on my main plot. The bug enclosures are just barely small enough for me to comfortably and creatively design with. But yeah, I agree that I wish they could roam and move around.
