I believe at the time when they released the pumpkin decor, devs wrote about the current 9-soil-plot system being quite delicate in that if they introduced pumpkins, it would mess up existing buffs for other crops, so they were going to take their time in figuring that out before introducing seeds for them, etc.

There are certain items that you don't need very much of, like knapweed, fur, leather, hides, and those kind of things. Besides that, keep a few of everything but sell stuff once it takes up too much room. Also, a good way to know what to keep is looking up the bundle items you will need for the ||Temple of the Night Sky|| and quest items that are harder to find (duskwing butterfly, for example) so you don't sell or use them!

Most ingame activities give you bonus XP for any first time doing the activity.
For example: my furniture level was low so all I crafted was things I'd never made before (you can sort by never crafted) I went from Level 2 to about level 10 I think.
Bonus tip: only buy the first crafting recipe in a set from Tish- the rest you gain by inspiration, and save the coins for something else.
