I highly recommend focus food parties. It goes by very fast for certain recipes that aren't at tasking as cake and you get a stack of like 150 food. Jum hosts spicy crab fried rice all the time and it takes me literal weeks to chew through.

I used to do food parties in the olden times, but those were always so stressful in terms of coordination (or drama) that I no longer do them. Aloneness is my oneness. 😔

For me it's been especially great when hunting. I used to hesitate to take down too many creatures at once because I'd worry that I'd lose track of where the bags landed lol

There are some things I don't pick up because they don't have an overflow option and I just have to wait for the thing to despawn. So, I mean I keep my inventory full at all times with one thing being plant fiber, so I don't bother to loot a tree if it doesn't drop fiber.

Hmm, I think that both are beautiful. My personal preference is to not have my home entrance too far or too close? Like I still want enough of a space between the load-in point and my home entrance that is lightly decorated/landscaped so that it feels welcoming and exciting to come home. I also wanted to make sure there was enough space in the back of the plot to put all of my farming/crafting stuff too so I was conscientious about where I lined up my house when I first started.

There is a trick past 100. I can write it up if you want.

To be able to place more than 100:

• Put all the fences you're gonna use in your storage chest.
• Click to start the first fence (make sure you go clockwise for white picket fence to make it face the right direction).
• Every time you're gonna change direction, you need to alternate between holding the placement button and releasing the placement button.

So for example, for a fence that has multiple direction changes: Click and hold the placement to start the fence and move mouse to the corner, release the button and move to next corner, click and hold again until the next corner, release again as you go to next part, and keep alternating until you are done.

For those interested in the technical tidbits: The problem stems from the game not being able to deal with going from one stack to the next, hence why it usually stops at 100 (max stack size for fences). If you had 2x stacks of 50 in your inventory, then it would get wonky if you place 51 fences because it would need to switch stack. If it's in a chest then it counts it all as a single stack even if it's over 1000 fence pieces.

Putting it in spoilers just in case: ||It makes it possible for you to see if the loot pile contains either recipe/quest item, or if it contains a regulary inventory item. With a full inventory and with arrow bag filled to the brim usually you'll see "Inventory full" when looking at loot pile if its a regular inventory item in the pile. Then you can server hop until you get a pile you can loot.||

There may be a few exceptions I've missed in that one though.

O the game is totally Zelda-inspired (hullo, glider!), but it made me so motion sick. I had to force myself through it for a solid 3 months before I got used to playing, much less attempting any temples, bc I enjoyed it enough to keep at it in spite of it. But I still can’t with temples (the ruins make me queasy, but I don’t have to spend much time around them.)

I'm not entirely opposed to adding people from online, but it tends to end up being people I've known online for a good while before I add them. For now though it's just one of my parents, a sibling and their partner. I do feel like in this game it's actually also beneficial to either have a small list or a really large one, and that having a "medium" sized one is a disadvantage (in terms of allowing server hopping, since it'll try to put you on servers with friends).
