UGH. No. It's hard enough for players, like myself, that don't use the vote request channel or any other means of asking for votes only get around 25 votes total. Someone previously suggested that the tour automatically cut off votes at the 200 mark so other plots have a chance to be seen too. Personally I think this method would be better.

I have seen gorgeous plots with only a few votes. I know my plot is messy. I have been trying to make it look better. The voting system seems broken. It would be better if there was a way to visit friend plots without typing in their names. Because on switch that’s a pain without a keyboard. It would also be better if no plots were highlighted. Except maybe the top from the previous week. But they couldn’t get votes from those, because they’d be the previous week winners. If all were randomized maybe some of us would do better in voting.

i agree, but my issue with this is that everything is arbitrarily priced. if an outfit were $2, i might buy it. if an outfit is $50, it's literally never going to happen for most players. there's no real life value to these things, so why not price it so that more players will buy it? they'll almost certainly get more money that way

I can't even count how many I've toured with nothing on them getting hundreds if not thousands of votes- so I spent a year, doing two plots, suffering item limit restrictions/etc, only to get less than 9 votes so that someone with NOTHING ontheir plot gets 1000? How about a nameplate for all of us out there not getting votes? You know, less than 10 and you get a nameplate that looks like a clown. I've voted on over 400 tours since this thing started and my current plot has 2 votes. I don't have the time in the day to spend my hours setting up an instagram, twitter, twitch, youtube, myspace, AOL page, or Craig list add requesting people to visit, nor do I have the time then to respond in a discord with a list of all homes I've listed. This current system is ridiculous and taking the 'cozy' out.

I'm sure as the game expands and more funding is received it will warrant more work spent on content. Designing an outfit is a lot easier to do compared to setting up a set of quests, or another friendship level etc. And a zone, well that's even more involved. Think script writing for quests, conversations, paths the npcs need to walk, any new animations. And thats just bear bones 🙂
