Ahaha same like tonight I wanted to redo my fishing dock but instead used discord as an excuse not to for me I dislike most the npcs due to the text choices (I'M NOT SAYING THEY ARE BAD BUT FOR ME) so I tend to avoid the friendship aspect and I ain't interested in the romance at all. So I just vibe at my own pace. Sometimes I randomly visit people's plots (not the tours) and have a little snoop and tell the player what I liked about their plots. So you find a party and join it through the palia app link. There will be needed roles - if you're new, focus on things you can buy like sweetleaf, spice, etc. For starred parties, you'll need starred ingredients for everything you can't forage or buy normally. Except meat, maybe. (ack I don't know). When you join, just let the host know that you're new and most everyone will be really patient with you. Get prepared for a time commitment. If you're doing 100 of something, you may be there for an hour to an hour & a half. It's a whole thing. I was doing a party until 11 PM one night that started assembling before 9 and my husband was wildly amused at my whining yet unwavering commitment to stay the course. Lastly, OP = overprep. These roles are not critical because you're burning ingredients and getting the output but not directly contributing to the recipe. These are more flexible roles where you can come and go. If you can get an OP role, that would be ideal for your first cooking party.

How many of the tasks did you have to fail for it to give you a starred ruined dish? I tried a few times doing almost all the steps, half the steps, just a couple... still gave me a normal starred dish. Did you just not do any of the tasks?

If you do a bunch of the tasks but run out of something at the end, it might come out starred. So basically you have to give free mats to a failed dish. For example, making muujin bahari with newer players and they don't select the star at first- and we run out of stuff since I don't have much starred veg unless I stock up at the farmstand...boom, star failed dish lol
