For example, let's look at FFXIV, ESO, and WoW. I personally have played ESO the most because they don't require a subscription to play, and they have yearly new additions to the maps and dlc's. You can play all the dlc's with the subscription even if you don't own them all, but you get an amount of the premium currency, the ability to play all the dlc's, some extras like an unlimited crafting material bag etc. I did pay that subscription until it was worth it to me, and there are countless players that don't use the plus, but it has worked for them.

Been playing this game since Aug... I am once again at my renown cap with nothing to spend it on.
I finished all of the temples, reached level 4 with each char except for Subira. If I continue to romance, the renown will go into a bottomless pit.

the option to buy the individual outfits permanently would still be there, if you only wanted one or two to begin with
and the game itself, in this theoretical scenario, would remain free to play even without a sub

I have ran guilds on several games and I would like to see a gifting option like they have in both FFXIV and ESO. I'm one of those guild leaders that will spend cash to buy cute limited edition pets and stuff for prizes to give away during holidays and events. This is why I would like to see gifting system/codes for premium items, some cheaper premium items, and a bigger variety. At christmas time it was not uncommon for me to spend $50 on stuff just to give away.

Some of the outfits I like the colour combinations, but not the design, and vice versa .. I've so far managed to find 4 or 5 outfits so far that work for both.

It doesn't matter to me if it's $5 or $20. If I don't like the look of it, it doesn't get bought. I suggested color swatches so we could buy them to change the colours of the outfits to suit our tastes rather than be stuck with the 3 color swatches you get with the outfit.

Now for people that spend a lot of times on mobile games that play on switch you can use apps like mistplay (the reason I chose this one is cause I know its legit) and play mobile games for nintendo credit. I'm not sure about steam I haven't looked, but by playing these games you can get currency to trade in for things. It takes awhile to earn, but a completely free way to support the game. That is how my husband funds his palia purchases with his switch.

I do think there have been issues with being frozen in dialogue with NPCs, but not sure if it's also happening as they've walk out from dialogue

My game now freezes when the NPc’s are at my plot and leave. My character freezes and I have to reset the game. It didn’t before the update. My game is fine when fishing.

as long as its not the programmers the game is not going to go stagnant so easily i have seen to many games lay off their devs and keep the art department to push out countless props while the game is broken in some way and they never improve, they did jump to other platforms rather early, i however like steam since i play it on linux and steam provides an easy to manage proton layer so it only makes what i was doing easier, palia needs more content, especially more spaces and mysteries to explore, and to encourage retention don't forget to throw the free players a bone every once in a while, just because some one can't afford cosmetics does not mean they don't contribute to the atmosphere of the game and keep the community alive, which in the long run can aid in growth by providing a live player base and community for new people to engage with.

Visit the big mirror inside Jel's shop. It will allow you to change your appearance and voice as well as body type! Cooldown is a week I think.

That being said, the voice preview is currently broken at the shop, so if you want to hear how each of them sound, I believe you can find some clips on YouTube where people are creating their characters for the first time and are going through each voice. That should help give you an idea of which voice you want to choose.

Question - when you expand your home - theres a "hallway" section thats like $3k. Is that required or just an option? Can you buy a room and addon without that?

I guess it depends on the angle. I think you can't add a large room perpendicular to another large room without putting a hallway there.

You can add them parallel without a hallway or perpendicular to a harvest house without a hallway.

Either way it acts as a very small room, which you might want for decor

You do not need a hallway to add another room to the harvest house. Just the room you want to add. Just remember some don't fit too close together on certain sides. Not sure how to explain that better but some trial and error is maybe needed to figure out what fits.

You can attach rooms directly together. But if you want to create an L, and the room at the end is larger than the corner room it's attached to (such that it would overlap with the other side of the L), you'll need to add a hallway section so they don't directly touch.

Yeah, nothing ever comes back. You can plant your own trees, but you can't get the bushes or rocks at the moment.

I logged it all. Long before the most recent update. It does NOT grow back. If you like the look and can work around it keep em. Idk if you can move the initial ones with this newest update, but you can now plant new trees and grow them (stop watering when they're the size you want) to different sizes and move things around as needed.

No. This most recent update added the ability to grow trees *and flowers - and be able to move them. You used to plant a full grown tree and have to cut it down if you didn't like where you placed it.

Now you plant a seed and water it (think there's 4 or 5 stages for trees between planted and full grown) and you can move them

depends on the mmos some mmos go the add till they drop route and some go to the shift focus, some take the healthy middle ground when they have loos story lines still going, maps that incomplete but need to find something for the players to add more content that isn't just filler fluf.

We had one patch that was "bugs" which bugged out mujin and instead of hotfixin things they were gone for a whole month. New years maji market there was a WHOLE TABLE people couldnt get the starred versions of a seasonal food. I feel like they need to put more care into there work if they want people to keep playing.

I can't say I've ever seen a connection between tree chopping/mining/foraging and lag, so I think maybe your server was just having a wobbly moment. Sometimes I'll be standing on my home plot doing nothing and a memory leak will appear out of nowhere in the client until the game chugs.

Unfortunately, there is no information from the developer on this yet. Unfortunately, many of the promised updates have not been released yet. Unfortunately, there is no community center/map, no guild tasks, no larger camp for players, no mounts, no game expansion, no animals like cows or bees 🐝 to farm. All communities are currently asking themselves, will Palia die? Why don’t they change the store and offer things like more farm space or larger camps? There should be a change in the store. Unfortunately, which I find a shame, there is no further information on this. Many things that were promised have not yet appeared. There is also no roadmap of what we can expect. Only small snippets in a DEV post. It would really make more sense if S6 gave a roadmap and an outlook on what we can definitely expect before the whole game goes down the drain.
