Honestly? Just start. I had the same "issue." I came into the game and decided to finish up processing whatever crops I had left, and I picked one of the open quests I had to focus on... after awhile, you just kinda... get sucked back in.

yup! there will be some size trees you can't chop because your axe level isn't high enough, or they aren't choppable trees - but otherwise, yes, you can chop whatever tree! :-D

In all the maps outside of your plot, you can leave your plot through one of the exits and either cut the orange trees in Bahari, or any you find in Kilima.

Regardless of what it is .. MOST things give more coin per item if it's crafted into something. Like for veggies, preserves or pickled gives more than the veggie/fruit. Same with hides. Leather gives more. That's not the case with every single item so check the game wiki. And go with what you like. Some cook, some garden, some mine. Just do your thing. Many ways to make coin in game

My gameplay in Palia is HEAVILY focused on farming and preserves / worms. I do a bit of all the other things too, but I'm mostly on my plot doing that stuff and I'm hitting gold cap every 2nd or 3rd day playing and then go buy an extra 10 Zeki coins to make room for more. Granted, that with a farm layout with 5 apple trees, and apples make your level and money go zoom.

Sometimes yeah. It doesn't really cooperate with the sitting animations, especially if sitting on furniture items, but even sitting on the ground, it swallows a bit of your character's arms and hands. I still like it though... imo it makes the most sense for the game to have all that gear on you.

All kinds of ways. Pick what you like the most , or all of it (skills) Mining you can sell ore/bars/gems. Farming you can make preserves/pickled veggies. Hunting you can sell hides/leather/horns/tails. Fishing sell extra fish or make food and sell that. Just play the game. Early on it feels like you'll never have coin, but you will. Promise.
