It's a much easier sourdough - you make a starter with commercial yeast and then keep it going. Mine is a couple months old and I bake with it every weekend. I use the Farmhouse on Boone potato sourdough starter page, it has the bread recipe too

I have tried! 😂 Traditional sourdough hasn't worked for me yet. The potato one is pretty hands off though, I mix it up, knead it as best I can for ten minutes (it's very sticky dough) and then that's it until shaping.

Well that's easy! First you get yourself some delicious food, like one of my wife's pies! Then you gather up all your crops! Then take all those goodies, make some more food, head on out into the world and gather all the plants you can find. You'll be a-maize-d at how quickly you'll get better!

I go to bahari from home plot and just loop that side of the map. Keep focus full, make sure to spend renown on the percentage earned shrine and just get legit all tbe things. Sweet leaf is good for worms and cakes. Mushroom good for worms. Choppy trees too. I focus on leaf and mushrooms tsking care to look for brightshrooms. Then I'll do some beach rounds if I want coral or oyster.

Gonna play the game with the wife starting tomorrow. 1 question. I've read the game isn't a true co-op experience, more like a single player game that you can play along side friends. Has that changed since release? I see you can add permissions to your housing area. But does that allow them to just build/move your house? or can they access your crafting stations and items as well?

There's not any options for accessing eachothers items. You're correct that adding permissions just allows them to move buildings and furniture items around (As well as things like chopping trees down or breaking rocks).

Currently your home plot is still a fairly singleplayer experience. You can do things like cook together though. The last update made improvements to mining together. Hunting is kind of still difficult to do as a party because you can one-shot things and the other person will get nothing.

It's possible they might. They're still figuring out a lot of economic stuff, so there's not much in the terms of trading. A player can request 4 items every 24 hours and that's it.

Gold is capped so that players don't find gold glitches and save up millions for later. And trading isn't possible so that you can't just offshore items on alt accounts. Plus it really defeats real-world-trading.

at least if you don't want them to wear out faster. Technically you can mine Pal with a fine pickaxe, but it takes more out of the pickaxe compared to using an exquisite one

I want to say you should get at least 1 silk with Princess Ladybugs, but it can be a random amount. In recent memory, I don't think I've ever caught one and not gotten at least some silk with it. The other ladybugs don't seem to drop any, but that tracks for the rarity.

EDIT: The wiki says it's possible to get 0 from them, but that's not been my experience (at least not yet)

yep, a very old and common bug "stuck at oven" normally we reccomend opening and closing the home plot menu
H on PC and left stick on switch
however I have heard lately this method is hit or miss
so you can also type /unstuck in the chat, it will pull you a bit away from where you were standing, but it should get you free

So I just did the math based on info in the wiki (which may not be entirely accurate), and out of the 56 currently available dishes in game, 12 of them are soup. That means approximately 21% of the available diet is soup based. That is a significant amount of soup.

Definitely agree with the part about putting too much pressure on interacting. I usually start my days when my bf goes to work hopping on here and just seeing what's going on and what people are saying. I laugh at a lot of it, but I don't always interact. Sometimes I'll talk back and forth for an hour, sometimes it'll be 5 minutes. Regardless, I just let myself enjoy being a part of this group. ❤️
