I upgraded my backpack fully before upgrading storage because travelling back and forth so often was a hassle. But there's going to be a fast travel port from home to bahari with the next patch, so going home to unload a smaller pack shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Also, I didn't realise for a long time that you could upgrade storage. I've gotten so good at managing wooden chests that 10,000 slots feel unlimited.

Like I built a little hallway sized room and a bay window. If I decided I didn't want to use them anymore, just for now.....would I be able to put them away and pull them out again later fully built?

Or would I have completely rebuild them and wait several hours just like I was building them for the first time again?

It depends on how you play, but for me I use 5 plots. 1 plot for main house, 1 plot for cooking parties, 1 plot for testing out decoration glitches, 1 plot for putting all your fish and furniture down like a yard sale so you can see what the colors of each item's customization looks like, and finally, 1 plot for glitching my buildings.

but yeah my garden = 126k gold every 30 in game days, not including the time it takes to make the preserves. if you harvest/replant 6 times a day (don't even have to play for 6 hours, just log on for 5 mins every hour or so), then that's 126k gold of stock for 6 real life days of minimal playing ( gonna take an extra 30 hours to Jam all those apples though). If you play a lot, then that's 126k of gold in 4 days
