Yeah once you unequip the can after watering, you can’t interact with stuff. Like refilling the can or even accessing your chest. You can access your inventory menu and then it becomes active again but that’s extra effort

They update their servers that host a lot of the game content. Then they release a patch for the client side (your computer) of things as well. You will download the update after they're done and once servers are online again you'll be able to connect again
