you shouldn't need a jar for it, mirror pond/fields is the only place it spawns, run around scaring away the hoppers/beetles, 4 or 5 will appear

Sandrock is really good, but would recommend getting the PC version. I have the Switch version and love it anyway, and it's fine and fun if you're amused by glitches/jank and not annoyed by them lol

What is the ringing sound for? Once in a while I come near some plants and bugs where it rings, but sometimes nothing is around and I hear it. It fades when I walk around in different directions trying to find it.

when they have been picked they remain for others for 30seconds to 5mins (rarer ones lasting for longer)

the audio glitches though and most see it on switch (cooking is the current annoying one)

You run around and hope to stumbble across it.
But you can also farm it, if you clear stone and iron palium can spawn.
If you clear out trees, flow trees can spawn.
Also flow tree groves always spawn at 00:00. And they are in certain spawn locations you can learn the locations in time and then search for them.
