I get that, yeah. I think the big thing is more that it doesn't auto-correct you to the right spot when you fall out of bounds if you glide too close? If it's possible to actually reach the island before then and land on it, that's a different issue

I explain that bug as being caused by an unexpected route to the same goal .. that the devs just didn't realise alot of people would do .. I suspect they would have to tie the stuff we did too soon, to not being possible until all the pre-requisites are done. 'I'm afraid that can't be done yet ....' kind of thing

i've done all the quests lol. just pin the one you want to focus on and un-pin the others so it doesn't overwhelm you on your screen and you don't get map pings in a zillion directions

i will say though, completing a quest usually makes my sidebar auto-populate with other quests I have yet to finish, so you may have to un-pin them again every so often

This is exactly how I do it. It keeps the list maneable and I work on the ones I feel up to, when I feel up to them. (I have been saving the temples for dead last because I am nervous about bugging myself in one of them). I find that I feel less pushed to hurry up and do a thing because I'm sort of picking and choosing what works for me.

just keep in mind you can take breaks, go out of temple do something else and go back in, progress doesnt reset in them so youd be back where you left it

I always think of it like this... I like playing the game, so if a quest has a buuuunch to it, then that's lots of gameplay for me. Rather than thinking of it like "oh god, there's so much to do" I try to think of it like, "wow this game will have stuff to keep me going for so many months, playing at whatever pace I want!"

It's never mandatory to play, and you don't lose progress from taking a break, so you can go at whatever pace you like

I think you're right there. I think, unfortunately, one of the things they need to reset on is the expectations that they've set for the player base. They were putting stuff out so hot and fast that when they took a holiday break, it felt like abandonment. I think that honestly, they probably NEED to reel back the communication and release schedule just a little so as to set more realistic expectations. I want updates as much as anyone else, but I konw what it's like trying to work to hard deadlines all the time, too

There is a lot of great content in the game and I highly recommend it. I will say that Palia has much better character backstories for everyone than Stardew, but at least all the stories are finished.

If you were a fan of Harvest Moon, then you'll definitely like Stardew. If you didn't like it, you may not like the game as it is everything you wanted from HM.
