You are fortunate. Most I have talked to if they deep into the one area of the glitch can't even get back up into the more shallow sections in order to bunny hop or /unstuck out. I just avoid the whole area for now myself

Working and packet reliability are two different things. Could try restarting router/modem just to be sure. Though its probably on Palia's end.
