There's no benefit eating something 5 times to max your focus over eating something once or twice to fill up your focus

I didn't say that you get XP for eating food, but that eating food provides focus that in turns increases the XP you get from doing any activity.
That being said, yes you get to do activities longer for more XP, but you do get even more XP if your focus bar is full 100% of the time; so food with a very low focus refill amount might allow for that in an easier way it seems

I'm basically only trying to maximize the XP I get at all times whenever I'm doing any activity at a given point

You dont get less xp the lower your focus so there's no real benefit to keeping it at 100%. The only downside is if you dont have enough focus and you dont get the full xp boost.

The Focus bonus is a percentage based on the current focus amount that you have. So in fact having less current focus decreases the XP you get, or should I say, the more focus at a given point, the more XP you get, as you'll get N% (Focus bonus) of the current focus amount

Nah activities have a set xp amount and the focus bonus gives extra xp based on that and subtracts that number from your focus. So if something gives 100xp and you have a 50% bonus then it consumes 50 focus and gives you 150xp. If you have 23 focus left then it gives you 123xp.

This is a rough example though, how it works is more complicated but thats the jist of it

The way I am reading it is they were saying the lower focus giving items were better for xp min maxing. You need to take into account time, and effort when min maxing. I am not talking about just cooking XP, overall XP, it ties together.

If you spend 3 hours doing a cake party, but you could spend a bit of time making a bunch of less complicated foods (grilled fish for example) You get less cooking xp, but a quick source of low focus giving foods

You can always check for this information by going into the wardrobe, and looking to see if the outfit ONLY appears under tops (i.e. there is no listing for it under the bottoms section). If it is only listed with the tops, that indicates you cannot split the top/bottom piece.

I believe you can also filter outfits to more easily see this information (at least by outfit name maybe? idk) although I've not done any filering myself

Its so hard to make furniture when the recipes for one piece of furniture calls for 40 planks of flow wood but a single tree gives you maybe 2 or 3 pieces. Yea, I generally do the area near the geyser pass 1 regular trees spawn again, so I cut them, then regular trees spawn, I clear them, then I start to get “baby” flows, cut again and that when the bigger trees start to appear sometimes 2 or more at a time. I often just delete the regular wood as soon as my bag fills.

I have never found people unwilling to let others just join in on flow, because unlike palium, if each person takes 1 strike and waits the tree recovers and so everyone even in large parties gets a drop. I joined a party of about 15 people today and they were absolutely lovely.

Yeah, palium doesn’t recover like trees which have infinite strikes if everyone pauses between. A large node only has about 5 strikes so people get touchy. Frankly though, they need to chill it spawns in fast now.

I think the fishing bot is the most obvious and probably the only one people should focus on. it's very obvious, you gain the buff from them successfully fishing but they don't actually visibly reel in. they just keep casting over and over
