I can't water my 9 trees without at least 4 error, that I did things too quickly and need to redo what I did.

I have a possible solution for the water issue: do not report back to server until watering stops, then report once the level of watering. If for some weird reason game crashes at that time, no big deal losing one plot watering...

And it will help with server load too, improving user experience

From my experience, and from a third-party site Paliapedia, the other two catchable recipes - fish stew and sashimi - are bugged as well. The random chance of catching them is so low, it's best not to bother. Hotfix coming soon, but not yet.

I got Really lucky and caught sushi After the bug, with my very first glow worm, in the pond in my home instance. Maybe the chance is per server, not per player.

As in a lot of stuff will work, but you have to figure out the bindings and some functionality is missing. Also with every hotfix/patch there's a non zero chance it'll break further. You can however set up a third party solution which is more consistant.

i got a steam controller from back when those were a thing, so i probably will just map that to the mouse and keyboard buttons to avoid any problems of controllers maybe not being supported everywhere.

People looking to leech off others is a common issue in this game sadly. Anecdotal, but back when I was doing cooking parties with pugs, the most annoying/griefing people were always the ones to man the oven. Also special mention to people who sit in their home plot requesting 80 flow planks on repeat when they could go and chop them instead of standing afk 🙄
IMO they should make honey lure spawns only visible for people in your party.

I spent about a week trying to get one thinking they only spawned in the morning and that people were just spooking them away, but it turns out they spawn in the morning and during the day, so I've switched tactics and now go through there capturing plain bugs to free up spawn space for the Duskwings. It's similar with the Raspberry Beets around the farm, though they seem even rarer somehow.

I was having the hardest time finding certain bugs until I started using the interactive palia maps. ( google 'interactive Palia maps and it's the address with 'mapgenie' ) Then I started using bug jars. I personally don't find the honey lures to be cost effective for what you actually lure and catch. The jars are GREAT. And the smoke ... candles? sticks? The smoke lets you walk right up to a bug and start blasting it. I got 7 duskwing, including a star in one run. If you're not sure on times look it up before you go. I keep notes next to me when I'm hunting something specific. If I can do it, YOU can grins

Grilled fish is worth exactly the value of the two fish used to make it. Starred is 150%, so cooking unstarred will yield a small profit on any that turn starred.

For a game that's still in beta (which I think a lot of people tend to forget), Palia is PACKED with content, imo. Yeah....it's also packed with bugs 😅 and other gameplay issues but again, it's in beta. The fact that the game as this much to offer and it hasn't "officially" been released, is quite impressive. There's plenty of change/improvements that I'd love to see them make, but given the current state of the game, I think Singularity is doing a stand up job.

I think beginner players do have access to everything more experienced players have already. A player came in Bahari the other day trying to do the fire temple quests and they had no idea how to get there or into flooded fortress.
