It can be a bit tricky as sometimes, you need to be up at the same level you're trying to stack things (fishtanks are like that) - put down your base layer, your second layer (if you can), then plop down a chest and stand on it for the next layer, etc.

Usually I can get 1st and 2nd layers without having to do more, 3+ layers gets tricky.

My biggest gripe so far is how harvesting materials doesnt sync with the animation... like why does the bar go down mid swing of a tree or ore and not when the tool hits the object

Before I bring the issue as a new issue I just wanna check, (I have looked but so many posts in many different spots I am unsure) Is there a known issue with gifting to Einar? I haven't given him a gift in a few real days, when I go to speak with him in his cave it won't let me gift him anything (doesn't say prompt of I have already given a gift, it just won't work to even open my inventory to try to give him something) and then whole game freezes and I have to restart.

Did you ask before you finished your level 4 friendship quest? If you did, you need to finish the level 4 friendship quest first, then the option will come back
