Interesting when installing it's super slow over 5ghz wifi. Ethernet is really fast 1GB and the WiFi is maybe 1/3 of that speed but the download is like 100x slower when it shouldn't be.

FYI if you have a friend that has beta access, they can email the installer it's 13.5 MB and you can install the game too. I tried logging in my girlfriend's account but it doesn't work if you don't have access. But at least you can save some time getting the installation done ahead.

Wooden storage crates all link into one big storage inventory. you dont need to have all accessible at all times to get yours tuff and its even aviable for crafting if you put stuff in there and dont want to carry things around.

I think the last closed beta invitations' batch did it. Too many players at once, therefore, the servers couldn't hold up. My guess is that they will try upgrading the servers to hold the amount of players joining in. Basically, that's why batches exist

Most likely the servers just crashed after receiving too many requests, unable to provide access to the server, creating an overload, causing the servers to shut down. Either way, a server upgrade should be undergoing currently.

Too many players trying to join a servers makes it crash, uptime is usually not a problem since i guess they have alot if RAM and cores. Even 1 player joining a server causes a few ms latency and alot if cpu usage for a few seconds. Now imagine this with hundreds of people at the same time 🤣 Best way for devs to fix this is adding a queue

As far as i know, they do not. However, you can't take down any foliage or rocks outside of the expandable zone. So everywhere you clear can be built on if you unlock it!

With fishing, I wasn't even paying attention to the XP boost. I was just fishing for money for like an hour, then someone came along and fished beside me. Then left, then another joined in. Different recipes have different requirements but each person in the group can do a different part of the recipe, and everyone gets food! It's a really fun way to get your cooking skill up and hoard lots of food to fill your focus bar!

I honestly thought people would need more time to adjust to the idea of shared resources because so few games do that these days. But what I've seen in game is just wonderful! Even when no words are exchanged there's just a curtesy to others. People stop and wait if someone's near to see if they want a tap of a node or a chop of a tree. It's really heartwarming! ❤️

if you are mining a node or hunting and anyone else joins in, they'll be able to pick up loot too. it's individualized per screen. you'll see yours and your temporary/permanant partner will pick up theirs

Jokes aside, with our newest wave of invites your eagerness to join us hugged our servers to death. As I like to say 'server went kablooey'. Our servers began degrading and causing those load time issues + stuttering you may have experienced.

This didn't affect every player, but a significant amount, and our biggest worry was preserving player data, so we decided to pull the plug on all our servers to prevent them from spiraling to death.

We've stemmed that flow, and we're currently working on bringing our servers back up. We still don't have a solid ETA, but we will be providing more updates when we have them. Send devs your energy so they can work faster.

This happens a lot, more often than not it is from someone who plays games not works on them (there's a big difference), or it's a situation where someone says one game fixed their servers by doing X and assume it's the same issue.

You can't sell furniture to prevent the spread of bedbugs. There was an incident back in the day, and it's been illegal ever since.

probably because you can craft it, and those who do not have that recipe will want to find it on their own (or the devs want everyone's house to be a look of what that player has learned and not bought off other players?)

to be fair, storebox space is per singular isntance of the item, so one bench is the same as one plank or stone... its not like crafted thigs you dont got many of will uh, take up much either way.
