so anything that bypass armor would be VERY noticible
since we was basically immortal otherwise
so their lack of reaction made us died 2 more times before we realized it's the pearl

Honestly, we all figured "Creatures" were non-players and non-bosses, as the flavor texts of Enigmatic Legacy often oppose Demi-Gods and Creatures.
It does deal damage, but I think it ignores armor and deals 20 damage / one full health bar.
The weirdest thing was, that once emerged in water, a lantern on the belt didn't work as a light source either

While I really enjoy the building part of the modpack and I think the quests are great to learn all the mods fairly easily, I feel like the progression regarding the bosses seems kinda off. First you get more or less one hit and then no boss threatens you at all anymore (especially mowzies bosses suffer from this, because their design is cool and all, but the ones like Ferrous just don't do much if they don't deal damage once you wear full diamond).
But I think the tweaks from the modpack itself are all in all the bests I have played so far! So I would really like to try another luna pixel mod with more focus on the enemies than create (tho I wouldn't mind create being in there). Anyone got any recommendations? 😇

hello guyz i have question about glacio planet, i want to craft ice shard armor set and saw i need unstable ice shard and from what i was reading it looks like i need to kill harbinger soo my question is do i need to kill that harbinger from overworld or is there any on glacio planet ?
Thought the unstable ice shards are from enemies on Glacio, but the Harbinger may also instead be on Glacio this time
you can also get the from ore when you put it in crushing wheels but its rly small chance soo in the mean time im farming ores while looking if theres any structure but im starting to think theres no boss...

"safe from dying randomly in overworld and most other dimensions" in my experience in hardcore cursed is max dense skin and overenchanted diopside, generally also bring a totem just to be safe

Well, I played normal cursed and full diamond wasn't enough for bosses. But Blinding Abyss is, especially since it is fairly easy to kill wither with diamond armor and then craft the divination tome, which gives your enchants 2 levels over max. Protection VI do be quite handy.
And Respiration V makes Thin Air neglectible.

Divination should be 1.5x of max and round up

The blaze from enchantment industry can raise up to 2 above max
Anything higher and it straight up doesn’t work
If you have a book with +3 above max and you put it into the enchantment guide then feed to slime, said slime won’t be able to enchant anything (let alone hyper enchant to raise it 1 more higher) even if you feed it with enough exp
The enigmatic legacy tome can go up to 1.5x of max rounded up
So if you use the tome on something with already at that level or higher, it also doesn’t work
The other things that raise enchantment above max level also is limit by these things

So that's just plainly the highest possible for anything that's level 2 and above then. And I assume the tome always does x1.5, so you want max enchant and then use a tome

Quartz Flower can give you immunity to the pans growing hunger effect btw. Haven't found the growing damage effect you get if you ate the forbidden fruit tho

My boyfriend and I can no longer join each other's worlds like we used to a week ago. We've reset our wifi router, repaired the modpack profile on curseforge, tried many different direct connection server addresses to no avail. Any suggestions?

Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

From the text I figured the strength scales with the missing hunger in the hunger bar. But you are saying, that iI feed myself with a backpack, I can have a full hunger bar but still a 100% damage bonus? That's kind of crazy

bum ahh modpacks using the same name smh 😔
i really like this mod pack i have over 100 hours on it in the past few months but all the sudden I'm getting weird bugs like my shaders flashing, my villagers wont restock, my magnetic ring just decided to stop working. I've had other smaller bugs that were easy to fix or workaround but the villager thing is kind of game braking for me. I'm considering finding a new pack at this point but i would like to see what other people have experienced. I don't want to keep putting hours into my singleplayer world if this modpack is unstable, what do you guys think?

the villagers im at a loss ive tried everything i tried 1x1 with a workstation (used a loom to make sure theres no other possible workstation connections) then added a bed then made a 3x3 area with a door and added 2 more villagers to try and replecate a village but nothing im not sure what to do ive spen like 5 hours on it so far
i can see them using there benches as well it even makes workbench sounds while they use them

were they restocking with the same setup previously? seems weird for them to interact with their workstation (which makes it seem like they have correctly identified their workstation etc.) but not refresh trades (interaction with workstation is what refreshes the trade).

hmmm so the one thing i can think of is that villagers remember the coordinates of their workstations, and some weird stuff can happen if you remove the workstation from where they expect it after their profession has been locked in
if you start from unemployed villagers, and only give them a workstation at a single block that you never move (you can pick up and replace to reroll initial trades ofc), it should work fine

i feel really stupid i somehow mixed up the workbenches on the 2 i was testing with when i moved them the other day. and thought they were all using there workstations but the 2 i was looking at were not, they are now restocking fine. that was a big waste of time XD

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.
Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.

Sorry if this is the wrong channel, but I'm at a loss. This transformer setup works fine on creative, but as soon as I transfer to a survival world and build the same setup, this happens. Any idea why this might be the case (yes, I cheated in debug blocks to try and see what was happening)
hmm i'm not familiar with C:TFMG. If you're just trying to make rotational power into electricity, this pack has C:NA as well which I've used without issue
C:NA is fine, and I am using it to power some machines, but I want to get a TFMG rotor-based power plant set up to power energizers. This setup is intended to halve the output voltage - this will allow me to run the rotors faster without exploding everything - I just can't figure out why this exact build works on one world but not another. They use exactly the same blocks in exactly the same configuration, but the transformer just doesn't output anything on this build. :S

In this pack, probably maledictus chestplate with a spellstone that clears the invulnerability cooldown debuff, rest of pieces diopside, all unbreakable with max enchants (2 above vanilla limits, tho for protection you only need a total of 20 pts between all pieces)

If you're updating to a new mc version of the pack (i.e., 1.19 -> 1.20) that will (likely) break things as many mods were added/removed. Otherwise it is generally okay
The things I mentioned about strong armor should be in most 1.20 versions of the pack, no need to update for that
The chestplate I mentioned is made from cursium (which is dropped by the Maledictus boss)

Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

"Protects more" is still unclear, what effects are you really looking for? Something that gives potion effects? Toughness? What exactly?

if you have maxed dense skin skill, you don't need any armor points on top. The best armor for damage reduction is diopside (in the blue skies dimensions) because it maximizes armor toughness. However, diopside armor doesn't give any extra effects, so if you want extra effects you can mix and match between diopside/whatever you want the utility from
whatever armor you are using, you'd want to make it overenchanted +2 via hyperexperience blaze enchanter with tomes of hungering knowledge. If you're playing with curse ring, you can make most armor pieces unbreakable using forger's charm. There is no benefit to having more than 20 total points of protection (so prot V on all pieces is sufficient, not need for prot VI)

Oh then just mine tbh. Copper ore is 3.5 raw copper which can be doubled or so iirc. That's like 7 ingots per ore block pre-fortune, if you do fortune V that's around 22 ingots per ore block so 100 / 5 ore blocks
Getting 50ish copper ore blocks to get 1000 copper ingots seems easier than automating copper imo
If you're really set on automation, you can make a mining machine with create contraptions

Seeing how early it crashes it seems like an installation issue. Reinstall the pack, and see if it works then (and make a copy of your saves, options and map data, if the pack has any)

there is absolutely 0 reason to remove mods you 'dont need'
it will break the modpack
and many mods are kept on old versions intentionally due to problems present in their newer versions

Hey guys, I'm trying to add Distant Horizons to the Steampunk v18 pack. However, I'm experiencing some visual desync: my windmills (Create) and the clouds/sky are constantly stuttering or 'rewinding' their animations. I've already tried switching to Embeddium and using different Oculus versions or turning off Flywheel with its own command, but the issue persists. Any ideas on how to fix this rendering conflict?

No official one, as far as I know. You can only look around in #1109323795556216862 to find someone hosting a steampunk server, or join one of those you already see in the minecraft server list
the only pack with an official server currently is All of Create.

Good news: I figured out what prevented me from loading into the main menu (amendments mod, for some reason), so now I'll just look for a version that is compatible and will document everything

Question! how does enchanting with the RoSC work? it says +10 enchanting and my understanding is i can enchant up to lvl 40 instead of 30? but how do I get that to happen
is there something in the modpack disabling the enchant buff of RoSC? I just noticed the enchant power of my table is stuck at 32 regardless of adding more bookshelves or modifying the config for the enchant power so it looks like its not doing anything

My friend and I just downloaded the modpack ver18 and we were so excited to play it but whenever we try to open the game , the forge loading finishes just fine but we see a screen says "LUNAPIXEL" and nothing happens and we can't play.
Can someone help us with this issue?

Me and my gf are playing this pack and for some reason, when we die, we die "twice". I say it like that cause we respawn at our base and immediately get the death screen again, thus needing to respawn again before we're even able to move. Anybody know why this might be happening?

eat food, my go-to early game is usually squid ink pasta cuz you can just kill squids with a knife and farm a bit of wheat+tomatoes
and it's very strong food
Comfort can force regeneration ticks, Nourishment reduces Exhaustion ticks actively...
There's also classical Potions for those who wanna make regeneration potions and the like
...oh, and don't forget we have Create. You can bulk-produce potions if you need that.

My server of 4 guys is getting frequent errors about not being able to keep up and it seems to be whenever we start cutting loads of trees down. I suspect some mod around the trees is not performant and chews the server RAM. Anyone else noticed this?

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide. This guide's section regarding GraalVM is completely wrong from our own testing, and we recommend ignoring it.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.
If lag persists, run the following command ingame:

mod called distraction free recipes, you can edit the config from the in-game mods menu. By default it only shows once you search
I personally set it to have the toggle button visible so I can turn it on and off from the inventory
If you really don't like JEI being visually disabled until you type something, you can also delete Distraction Free Recipes, but it's better if you just go into the configs of the mod and disable it.

Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".

To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

- I have managed to test the modpack without any issues. This includes the menu, creating a new world, moving around, spawning a few things, etc.
- Using any sort of shader and enabling it crashes the game a few seconds later. Bliss, Complementary, BSL, Pastel, etc.
UPDATE: the shader won't crash if I enable it before entering the world, it does when I enable it while already playing the world

I am pretty sure this is a known problem with big modpacks in general, not just Steampunk. I've experienced this playing ATM9, ATM10 and Prominence, too
All we can do is just remember to turn on shaders prior to entering a world
(I personally recommend removing the keybind responsible for switching shaders on/off)
I had missclicked it several times before thinking about doing that
Ya I see it myself and I'm on Linux. Enabling shaders mid game also tends to make flywheel freak out as well

That's weird. Maybe try installing the mod manually? Download it from the website and put it in the mods folder yourself, removing the unnecessary version

Uhhhh can you move the chest 1 forward so it’s right above the conveyor?

In both case upgrade the chest to sophisticated storage chest and put in an advanced hopper upgrade
After that set the hopper upgrade setting to be pulling from bottom instead of pushing to bottom

Chutes set to pull a specific amount if required.
Unless you're looking to push upwards, then in that instance, depot instead of belt followed by funnel attached to fan-pushed chutes to blow upwards.

Cowboy is a skill that lets you ride anything, should have the icon of a saddle.
Meanwhile the repulsion field effect you're getting is another Skill you've probably activated.
YOu should be able to right click to disable them.
All my friends who are on the server with me also have this problem with the mobs running away.

Yeah, might want to left-click to check the description of your skills to check which one does what.
The bubble looking one should be your repulsion field effect.
If it's not that, not sure why mobs would be "running away" otherwise

Oh, that's right, I have another question, sorry... the modpack has the cold and heat mod. When I'm in the Nether, my character keeps getting hot, dizzy, and taking damage. I know there's a cold lantern that cools your character down, but is there any other option besides that?
Packed ice. Water skins that you could either let act passively or dump on yourself (right click) to cool yourself instantly. The sewing table which allows you to use Insulating items on your armor.
And for heat, you use... don't recall one of the items but the best for heat is Hoglin hide, but you could also use Chameleon scales(?), which comes from the molt of... Chameleons, and are "Adaptive" (do both heat and cold, but not particularly strong at either)
The effect you're describing is Hyperthermia - or a Heat Stroke, if you will, which can also be prevented with Fire Resistance.

Specifically, I’m referring to whether Create 6.0 will be added to the Steampunk modpack anytime soon. It is very unlikely SteamPunk 1.20 will have Create 6.0 as it would require some save-breaking changes from when I checked due to mods having to be removed.

- It does not crash my game but I get lag like stuttering. Also, when I restart CurseForge and join the server, I get an error message saying "able to open quest gui no quest book data received from server ... ~~~".
- Because the server owner was having issue with internet, he reset the router, but he said he reconfigured everything the same as before, including the server IP, port forwarding, and the internal IP.

Only thing i really don't get is the lack for Storage Drawers and why the latest Create mod isn't used (I miss my frogports).

Yeah looks like altitude. If you go too high up there's not as much oxygen available, same if you go below y = 0 and nether/end dimensions. Mod in question is called Thin Air.

Been playing All of Create modpack for the past week and have had no issues but now when I try to launch the game curseforge gets stuck at "verifying game assets" realms/textures/gui/images/9.png. Let it load for about 6 hours and it was stuck at the same spot the entire time

Modpacks use specific versions of certain mods to prevent various issues, such as crashes or major game-breaking bugs. Mods will be updated by the modpack developer when they see fit. Please do not update the mods in a modpack manually, unless specifically told to do so. This includes hitting the "update all" feature on CurseForge launcher it likes to bother users with.
To be clear; this is separate from updating the modpack (such as Better MC / Medieval MC) itself. You should always stay up to date with the latest version of the modpack. To update the pack correctly, you can follow the command!updatemodpack
The easiest way to downgrade mod versions to their original versions in the pack, is to reinstall the pack itself. Before you uninstall, back up both any singleplayer world files you have, and your map folder. LPS packs usually use JourneyMap or Xareos, the map folder will be named accordingly.
- Curseforge -> Right click the modpack instance -> „Open Folder”.
- ATLauncher -> Click „Open Folder” on the modpack instance.
- PrismLauncher -> Select your instance and click „Folder” on the right.
Navigate to the "minecraft" folder, and within that will be "saves" and "journeymap"/"xareos" depending on which the pack has. Copy/Move these folders to a safe location, and you can move them right back to the fresh copy of the pack when reinstalled.

I keep getting a crash when i try to host my own server. I have been trying for 2 hours to fix this, reinstalling java, the full server setup and so on. Idk what the issue could be at this point. Someone maybe know how to fix ? i geniuanly have no clue what to even look for in the crash logs

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The 'Essential' mod is therefore incompatible.
To share your world using our own world hosting, click the 'Open to Lan' or 'Share World' button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.
It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!
We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.
There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.
If you get an error in chat when trying to host your world, we highly recommend selfhosting instead as it's free, very easy, and much more stable. Run the !server command in #bots to learn more.

Transferring Your World
If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".
Fixing Lag
To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

the server started, however it cant keep up or something. i assume that i still need to allocate RAM manually ? if so, how do i do that ?

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.
The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.
For further performance improvements, you can also follow this guide. This guide's section regarding GraalVM is completely wrong from our own testing, and we recommend ignoring it.
Reducing server render distance in the server.properties file is also a very good way of reducing lag. Most of our modpacks include mods like Bobby and Farsight, which make it so reducing server render distance will not affect players.

Okay so the more structures mod for ad astra just completely breaks everything. Etched works perfectly fine. You need an older version of the giselle addon. 6.18 to be exact

I don't know—it plays the same animation whether I press it or not, with the difference that if I'm crouching, it actually breaks the block.

maybe the adventure charm? prevents you from breaking blocks unless holding shift
if it's create 6 then not without updating create (which is a whole separate headache), also i will say Create: New Age (in this pack) has a nuclear reactor that uses thorium
so untill i use default pack with create 5 i shouldn't be problematic

When i log into the world, all of the "physical" blocks (sand, dirt, stone etc) are invisible, but i can see everything else normally, including these blocks in my hand and in the inventory
I looked up and it maybe a problem with the connector mod or something but when i removed it the modpack would crash on startup
